My name is Robyn Loxley Hood.

Yeah, you heard that right. Just like my famous ancestor, I like to steal shit, but who knew my stealing ways could get me in trouble? Apparently, everyone but me.

My brother is missing, I have 3 hot, and very dominant, men trying to steal my heart, oh and a serial killer after me. What’s a girl to do? Steal a dagger, find my brother, and try not to get killed along the way.

About the guys?? Well, everything fun does come in threes.

Warnings: Stolen Hood is a contemporary reverse harem romance that contains dark themes. The book contains violence, gore, swearing, sexual abuse (note: very graphic), consensual sexual themes between Robyn and her men (+18), as well as an array of other dark subject matters.

DNF at 41%. I just couldn't take the poor editing any longer. Words were constantly being mixed up (e.g., alluded instead of exudes, worst instead of worse, etc.), and it was distracting. The plotting also made no sense - we had a woman who wasn't into relationships and extremely on guard all the time at the beginning of the book - by the time I stopped she had recently been blackmailed into her only date with Richard, whom she had been avoiding for years otherwise. Yet she then tumbled into bed with him - immediately after deciding to be with her boyfriend in a serious relationship and not talking with him about it - and then almost immediately after that decides she loves Richard. What?? You don't have the basis for such feelings - this isn't a fated mates novel. I won't be continuing.

Dark twist on a classic tale

This retelling of Robin Hood couldn’t have been better ... the coauthors manage to make a classic interesting again . With twists , mystery , romance and dark moments throughout, you don’t want to miss this book ! Truly excellent and unique , I look forward to the next retelling these authors have in store for :)

Modern day dark Robyn Hood

It was on “okay” book to me. Reverse harem, standalone. A modern day “dark” Robyn hood tale. Insta love. Lots of triggers present due to it being a “dark” romance. Rape, stalking, murder, kidnapping, it’s all in there. The sex is hot, the guys are possessive and seem hot as hell and all a little psycho, again, remember the “dark” aspect, so don’t freak out when the guys aren’t angels. I don’t know, the book just felt like it was missing something to me. It was a decent read that I don’t regret reading, but it wasn’t life changing either. It was just okay. Not bad, but not amazing.

Okay, but OTT Dark

It was an okay read. Interesting concept of a modern day Robin Hood fairy tale. It is definitely OTT DARK. If you do not like dark romance or have triggers do not read this. The detail was disturbing and evenbthe good guys were borderline psycho- cough Richard.
The big issue for me was the insta-love feel. You got most of the chemistry through flashbacks instead of understanding the guys appeal. Archie and John were semi-understandable. Richard was just nuts.
I would have given it more stars if her PTSD was more believable immediately after (surprised she even wanted to be touched). The ending was redeeming, but still unbelievable. Again an okay read.

I read all 3 of these books on KU...and I'm glad I didn't actually buy them. I thought the stories were interesting, however they have very graphic scenes of rape, sexual abuse, and torture. And while I am not easily triggered, I can see these being extremely triggering to someone who is. The story, itself, could be excellent and I felt like the violence and rape scenes weren't necessary and detracted from the book. One other item to note, there are more than a few instances of wrong word choice (ie. ballets instead of ballots).

This book was dark, twisted, sexy goodness!! I could not put this book down! The dark and twisted parts were very much that. But through it all Robyn was tough as nails, willing to fight for her life and those she loves. Robyn and her men were the epitome of sexiness, steam, and chemistry! These characters were absolutely fantastic!

I was completely consumed from beginning to end! If you like dark, twisted suspense with a whole lot of sexiness than look no further!

Definitely Dark but soooooooo Good!

A really interesting take on the Robin Hood tale I’m a contemporary setting and as an RH!
Such a good story with some ultra loving and possessive psychos who will go to the ends of the earth to protect their thief 😍 I blitzed through this in an afternoon, it was so engaging!
4 ⭐️’s as there’s some editing issues need addressing.

*Do pay attention to the trigger warnings for graphic sexual assault, non-con and kidnap*

Good book

I loved this hot fantasy. Robyn getting some justice was so sweet. Her three men were like a dream come true. Sigh. Good storyteller

An okay read lots of x rated scenes and a serial killer plot

This is a rated x version of little red riding hood melded with Robin Hood. The basket of goodies isn't for a Grandma and there are multiple wood cutters coming.

Wow!!!

CY Jones & M Sinclair have come together to form the PERFECT writing team! I am so excited to see where these two ladies take us with their collaborations in the future. I think what I’m most excited to experience is their dive into contemporary writing as I love both of their writing but have only ever seen paranormal from them. Well let me tell you, this start to a new series is no disappointment. They’ve pulled no punches with Stolen Hood. Continue on ladies, you’re amazing!

This story is a complete stand-alone, which makes it even better because you’re not left on a cliffhanger awaiting the next book. Take note that this is a dark contemporary read and should you have any triggers, you should take the authors’ warning to heart.

Wow, fairytales eat your heart out

This book is amazing, it takes fairytale retelling sand knocks them right out of the water. It’s different from the other retelling I’ve read but that is definitely a positive thing. The MC is fierce, loyal and stubborn and I loved her and her men. They all work perfectly and balance each other out, the scenes are as hot as Hades and this is well worth a read. The trigger warnings are there for a reason so please check them before reading this book. Both authors have done a phenomenal job and I can’t wait to read book 2.
There were a few minor grammatical errors but it doesn’t take away from the book at all.

This dark and twisted take of the Robin Hood tale is amazing. I love Robyn and her merry men. She is definitely a kick butt first, take names second kind of girl. And her men are just as crazy. Absolutely loved the justice that was served in the end.

This book is amazing and hands down one of the best books I have read this year. The Grim Sisters brought this book to life with their words. I was captivated from the beginning all the way to the end. It is a dark and twisted fairytale that had my heart pounding so fast, hands shaking and emotional all over the place.

Okay so you have Robyn who is the female version of Robin Hood. Her guys are Richard who is crazy, like unpredictable crazy, John who is possessive but shy, and Archie who is laid back but dominant. These three guys are totally in love with Robyn and she loves each of them as they are. The chemistry she has with all of them is off the charts hot!! Then the unthinkable happens to bring them all together to help her. She is on a mission to find her brother Sheriff. Something goes wrong and it is not good. It's just creepy as hell. Don't count them out, they are all determined to succeed with their plan.

I love all the characters in this story. I highly recommend that you read this version of Robin Hood. You will not be disappointed. This is a dark, twisted, and creepy tale that will keep you on edge.

The Grim Sisters is the name for Cy Jones and M, Sinclair, which I didn’t realize until I had finished the book and saw the author profiles - I have loved their books individually, and together they are a great team! This is a complete standalone story. Robyn is a descendant of THE Robin Hood, and everyone in the family has maintained the thievery tradition in some way. Robyn’s brother goes missing while “investigating” a serial killer, and Robyn is determined to find him. She has 3 guys who are a bit obsessed with her in a loving, slightly psychopathic way :) I loved seeing them work out their relationship.

Please head the trigger warnings in the blurb, their is graphic details of abuse.

Stolen Hood is probably one of my favorite RH books. It has true crime/serial killer, a kick butt FMC, and darker tones that make this anything but your normal fairy tale turned RH book. I really like the diversity of the male characters although I will admit I was hesitant about Richard first. But he definitely grows on you throughout the book as you learn more about him and see how he cares about Robyn. As a huge true crime fan, I am really loving the new trend of incorporating that genre into RH books - even more that this one was a twist on Robin Hood with a serial killer element. I am looking forward to future books from the Grim Sisters because if they are anything like this one, I’ll be devouring them as soon as they come out! 5 stars all the way!

Stolen Hood

I love how the authors managed to give an amazing spin to the heroic tale of Robin Hood. They created our heroine Robyn and three obsessive possessive alpha men who are determined to make Robyn theirs. Add a crazy serial killer in the mix and you know you're in for a crazy ride. This book has quite a few triggers, so heed the warnings in the blurb. This is a very dark romance where the heroine goes through hell before she has her happy ending. This book reaffirms my belief that some plots with a lot of action work best as a standalone. It gave me all the feelings and I justed tore through the book to get my happily ever after (for now).

OMG, where to begin, this book is absolutely amazing. Though there are 2 authors writing this story, you can't tell, they speak like one. This book has me gripped from the start. I could not put it down and read it in one sitting. It's a dark twist to fairytale and it will leave you with all the feels you could want or need. So without giving away too much, I will just say there is hot sex, sarcasm, laughable moments, kidnapping, a psycho, dark moments for a little trigger warning, but oh my goodness hands down the best book.

So satisfying!

Seriously this entire book was satisfying! Not only was it well written, but the scenes were detailed and nothing was left out. There was no questions unanswered and every loose end was tied up! The men were delicious and I really love how psychotic Richard was through the whole book. John was always the bad boy and Archie the smarty! I also loved that there were POV’s from the guys! You won’t be disappointed with this one bit.

Super duper love the fact that they have babies!

Insulting

"Ballet" instead of "ballot", "allude" instead of "exude", changes from past tense to present tense mid paragraph, misused homonyms and apostrophes, missing words.... the writers couldn't be bothered to proofread their own work before foisting it on a public expecting some care to be taken with their writing. Added to that was the very cavalier handling of an issue that is very serious, and obviously one they have no real understanding of. Sexual trauma isn't something you just shrug off. I've added these authors to my "Never Again" list.

I always wondered what the famous robin hood's family would have been like, but I never imagined that one would be like this. I am in love with this book; it's got hot men, danger, adventure, and almost everything else that a read could want. The FMC is the ancestor of Robin Hood himself and totally amazing on her own. I reccomend this book to everyone, because it's nothing you have ever read before.

Dark and Sexy

Whew, this book was crazy amazing. If you like possessive men and BA leading ladies then you will love this book. It is dark and does have scenes about sexual assault so if you’re uncomfortable with that this book is not for you. If you enjoy walking on the dark side I highly recommend it. Thank you ladies for an amazing happy ending that included a peek at the characters later in life. That’s always one of my favorite parts.

Like a thief in the night

You got to love when authors team up and worlds collide - magic happens, baby. That's what this book is, pure magic. Flawed and real, broken and graphic, crazy snark and heart-warming appeal -- this story and these characters have it all and I can't help but laugh and love every glorious, wicked moment of it. I'll really hope this is the beginning of wicked wonderful future to come because I'm all in.

This book was so emotional and times a little tuff to read . So seriously read the The description page before you decide to read . ( has lots of triggers so if you’re sensitive to stuff like that think twice) that being said this is one of the best books I’ve read this year. Robyn is one tuff, strong brave woman. I loved reading about all these characters and hope to read a lot more about them.

Stolen Hood is a dark tale that follows Robyn and her men in a race to bring a serial killer down. There were a few points where my heart wanted to implode for the sake of Robyn but it was refreshing to see her push and grow beyond her traumatic experiences. She fought for herself and for her family. I absolutely loved this book. It flowed seamlessly and I am excited to what else is to come!
