Kennedy Layne is a USA Today bestselling author. She draws inspiration for her romantic thrillers in part from her not-so-secret second life as a wife of a retired Marine Master Sergeant. He doubles as her critique partner, beta reader, and military consultant. Kennedy also has a deep love for cozy mysteries, thrillers, and basically any book that can keep her guessing until the very end. They live in the Midwest with their menagerie of pets. The loyal dogs and mischievous cats appreciate her writing days as much as she does, usually curled up in front of the fireplace.
Yuletide Blend (Paramour Bay Book #10) The Paramour Bay Series by Kennedy Layne proved to be full of fun cozy mysteries full of paranormal intrigue, and heartwarming charm. Set in the enchanting seaside town of Paramour Bay, the series follows Raven Marigold, who is a relatable and endearing character who discovers she’s a witch. From the very first book, I was drawn into a world filled with magical mishaps, quirky townsfolk, and a touch of humor that kept the tone light and engaging. Paramour Bay came alive with its quaint shops, mysterious coves, and a community that’s as eccentric as it is lovable. Ms. Layne’s writing style is approachable and immersive, making it so easy for me to lose myself in the pages (in a great way – NOT in a ‘I have no idea of what’s going on’ way 😊). Each book introduces a new mystery, often tied to the supernatural, and the twists are clever without being overly complex - perfect for fans of cozy mysteries. So, whether you’re a fan of paranormal tales, cozy mysteries, or simply looking for a feel-good series to curl up with, Paramour Bay is a magical escape that will leave you smiling. It’s a perfect brew of mystery, magic, and heart. Highly recommended for readers who enjoy a touch of whimsy with their whodunits. Let the Binge Begin. Happy Reading…

Is this a reindeer-napping or has the precious animal just wandered off? Well it was a reindeer napping but really a mistake by two old women who were trying to do good. I borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited. This in no way affects my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.
Back in Paramour Bay again with Raven, Leo, Liam and the rest of the gang. It's getting towards Christmas and Santa has come to town with his reindeer. When Rudy, the lead reindeer goes missing, Santa asks Raven to find him as he's needed for Christmas Eve.
As the days go by, things happen to make Raven suspicious of Santa, is he the real deal?
As always, Leo, Ravens familiar, provides a running commentary, with Ravens Mum the main subject of his conversations with Raven.
I really enjoy these books, great stories with an element of light heartedness, well worth reading.
I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
Raven and the gang have their work cut out when a reindeer goes missing. I liked the clues and red herrings. I enjoyed picturing the town in all it’s Christmas glory.
Yuletide Blend, Book #10, by Kennedy Layne. This was a fun read. It was well proofed, just two errors noted, well paced, and with well fleshed out characters, and a fun plot.
Christmas means that the squirrelpocalypse is in hibernation, Leo is depressed and one of the reindeer is missing
What a terrific read. Okay the mystery was very low key - one of the petting zoo's reindeer has disappeared and the whole town is out looking for him. Whilst the Santa hired by the town seems to be getting too deeply into the Christmas spirit. Leo again is at his absolute best. Depressed that Skippy and his ninja squirrels are in hibernation after evading all his attempts to capture them. The only thing that might shake him out of his funk is a mystery. Like the disappearance of one reindeer. As she, Leo and the others search they come across more and more strange events. Could Santa be the real deal? Will they find out what happened to the reindeer and get him back in time for Christmas? Great humour with some really great sarcastic remarks from Leo. They make every book a pleasure to read!
I loved the light hearted feel of this book. It feels fitting for the Christmas season. I've enjoyed each book in this series and this book is a favorite. Layne is a master of creating the perfect cozy with humour yet a well thought out plot. Leo, the cat, has to be the best written familiar of the many paranormal books I've read, with brilliant dialogue.
This one was full of Christmas cheer and hi jinx that will leave you laughing and enjoying a good mystery of who took Santa Claus’ reindeer. The characters in the small town are charming and delightful, along with Raven, her familiar Leo and her best friend, Heidi.
This is a series of adorable mysteries with magical characters. The stories are light and easy to read with a great cast of characters. Have enjoyed everyone
Raven and friends are embroiled in the most innocuous whodunit, and the surprise/no surprise ending is cute. No murders, just a bit of quirky holiday fun!
