4.5⭐. Surprisingly this is probably my favorite keigo's work. This one feels like a mystery novel with a emphasis on literary fiction side; quite similar in tone with namiya but better in pacing and not forced to be complicated in plot structure. It has almost everything i need in a comfort read: a touch of subtle magic, a bit of mystery, coming-of-age, humanity exploration, slightly connected storylines, relevent subject matter, etc. Especially, the ending is better and more completed than previous works i have read. Both individual storyline and the overall arc of the entire novel were covered pretty satisfyingly.
However, i think you shouldn't expect too much before picking it up. Knowing as little as possible and lowering your expectation for this little simple book, so you can have a better experience.
