Chase Adams #6

Devil's Den

Rate this book
"Today is May thirteenth and tomorrow you'll be dead. No matter how much you scream, no matter how much you plead, no matter what you do, tomorrow you'll be dead… Welcome to the Devil's Den."

Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Over the course of twelve years, thirty-one women have mysteriously gone missing, never to be seen again.

And no one seems to care. The missing women were from the fringes of society, illegals, street workers, junkies.

No one cares, except for FBI Agent Chase Adams.

In order to hunt one of the most sadistic serial killers in US history, Chase first needs to convince those in charge that he actually exists. And that includes a brooding partner, a man with whom she made a mistake, and a relationship that will never be the same.

When the New Mexico dust settles, it won’t be just the killer who has blood on his hands, but Chase as well. And the consequences will be devastating for everyone she has ever loved…

Inspired by a true story.

True story: I used to cut up bodies. No, not for fun, you sickos–for work. After reaching the age of majority and fleeing the clutches of an overprotective mother, I went to university like a good boy.

More than a decade later and an alphabet soup of letters after my name, I found myself looking down the double-chamber of a microscope at an eyeball. Feeling ironically introspective, I decided that it was time for a change.

After seventy plus novels and more than a million copies sold, I’ve found my true calling, one that also includes a plethora of letters. Hopefully you see something in my catalog that you like, something to feast your eyes on.

I also have two spooky podcasts that are appropriate for ALL ages, so long as you like to be scared: P.T. Logan's Five Minutes of Terror and Camp Fear. Both are FREE and available on all podcast platforms. For MATURE audiences, I've created two fiction podcasts, Nightmare Residue and Bad Priest.

Thriller to the end!

This was a fantastic thriller all the way to the end and leaves you wanting to read the next book ASAP!

It was a shock to see Stitts going off the rails but with all he has been through it was coming if he didn’t seek out help first. He is definitely going to carry a lot more guilt with him if he doesn’t deal with his issues. Chase has really worked to get her life back in a stable condition but she is going to be put to the test in the next book.

If you haven’t read the Drake Detective series you must go start them now before reading the next book. Huge back story about Chase! Then read Beckett because he is just awesome!

This was action packed from beginning to the very end. Just as Chase is getting her shit together the one who helped her but forgot to help himself is hitting the skids now. Stitts was always the voice of reason. The strong one. Not in this story. Reading what a mess he has become was painful at times. What happened to Agent Workman and especially Tom and Piper was difficult to read also. The epilogue promises for more mayhem to come. Dr. Kruck is back and this time he has the help of Georgie.

#DevilsDen was a non-stop thrill ride. Patrick Logan worked magic as he toyed with the dynamic between Chase Adams and Jeremy Stitts. Readers of the series should be pleased with the development and emotional growth Logan has created for Chase’s character. The narrative is full of tension, mystery, and trepidation. Logan grabs you by the shirt collars and does not let go. #mustread

OMG!

Wow, what an unbelievable, mind bending journey this was! I thoroughly enjoyed every chapter. Oh and by the way... You've convinced me to read Butterfly Kisses before I continue with this cliff hanger that you've left me biting my nails on. 🙂 I love this series!!!!

What’s next?

Once again Logan kept me on the edge of my seat! How much can Chase endure? Now Stitts, has he gone down the rabbit hole? I think this year is going to be me reading everything Patrick Logan has written!

What do you say about this but watch out for yourself. Bring it on again, like they say trust no one, but watch your back. Trust your gut and go with it.

Enjoyed book but found myself really bothered by what was happening to Stitts. Had hopes for him and Chase and can only hope he finds his way.
And maybe each other

Great Book

I accidentally came across this series of books and I love them.
Chase Adams has gone through a lot in her life and she’s kind of messed up by it all but she has special agent Jeremy Stitts in her life and he backs her up and helps her through some of the worst moments of her life but the price he paid to do that was way to high and now the tables are turned and things are going to get a whole lot worse before they get better. I highly recommend this book or for that matter the whole series. I can’t wait for the the next book!

Pat, you're killing me!

Another awesome book by the great Pat Logan! If you haven't read this amazing author yet you are surely missing out! The Chase series, the Beckett series and the Frame series are all just as fabulous. Pat Logan is in the same realm as Patterson & Baldacci...way to go!

Another great thriller!

Patrick Logan is my favorite author. After years of reading thousands of books, starting with Stephen King when I was a child, I needed the bar raised to continue being "thrilled". Patrick Logan has met my needs!

Jumped right into the middle of this serial and while I felt a little behind, I got a few more surprises than most. So what the heck...definitely will add Patrick Logan to my kindle Unlimited watch list. Now going back in time to read the rest...

I really like the stories of Chase Adams but there are so many f-bombs I find it distracting. I love reading when I don't have to worry about trying to ignore bad language. They don't add anything, only distract.
