The whole plot was a rehash of book two. Same simplistic screenplay style writing with sophomoric dialogue, duplicate confusing sentences and characters drawn from the likes of Elon Musk and other celebrities. Overall the series could have been good if the plot was in the hands of someone else. The author would do well from some serious proofreading by someone with an eye for continuity (in one sentence someones’s blood is dark and congealing and in the next it’s bright red and cascading). Skip this series and read Dan Brown, Mathew Reilly, or Andy McDermott, they do so much better.

Good
I want more but I am satisfied with how this book ended.
It was interesting to see how the author wove desperation to find the truth and faith of a higher being. I certainly will pick up the next book if the author decides to continue the series. I wonder what other mysteries or threats that could be told with Joey, Boyce and Marie.

Last Secret Keystone
I liked this book as well as the first two, Mona Lisas Secrets and Last Secret Chamber. I loved the fact he kept the same characters through to the end. I read all three books. Great reads! Highly recommend these reads if you like historic fiction. Thank you.

Decency is not a thing of the past.
Profanity. Will not read this author again. There are enough good writers who do not need to sink to the lower depths of profanity and there are more than enough decent readers out there to support them.

I lived it. Great story and I'm also a fan of the Stargate tv series, so this was super good.

Well written sequel... Could have cut short some of the memories from the past book though.. Overall satisfied with the book.

Great Read
I enjoy archaeological fiction as well as science fiction, this combines them both. You need to read them in order though except the prequel.
I find the style of writing consistent and refreshing, whilst still being reminiscent of the likes of Matthew Reilly and Andy McDermott.
I could see this becoming a long series of books if the author can sustain the storylines and I hope he can.
Now that we have a multimillionaire joining the cast and young Boyce moving to America, Hazim discovering the next Stargate location on Mars we are left anticipate next episode.
Please don't leave us in suspense too long.

Where did we come from, how did we get here, and where do we go when we die????
After a cargo plane carrying a keystone to a hidden cave on Easter Island crashes, the DGSE (French CIA) is sure that it was no accident. Then a dangerous trained assassin decides he needs more answers about the death of his family, so he kidnaps Joey and Marie to lead him to the last secret keystone. He is sure that the answers lie through the secret portal, hidden below the Great Pyramid of Giza that is only activated with the next keystone. He has to have these answers, and only they know the way to get the key for him. When things turn disastrous Boyce along with Julian join the battle against the previous agent of the DGSE. The foursome will do anything to keep the portal a secret from the world and stop this dangerous man.
What did I like? I loved this series and was so excited when Phil added another great escapade. Joey, Marie, Boyce, and Julian have become one of my favorite groups of adventurers. Each one is so unique and special in their own way. Each giving so much to the storylines, plus the exploits keep getting more involved and exhilarating.
What will you like? Exciting, thrilling, breathtaking moments, tears, awesome characters, and an undertaking that will have you on the edge of the seat. I could not put this down, once I started the excitement took hold of me, and I had to find out what happened. The descriptions were so exquisive and detailed, I felt like I could see the eerie darkness of the underground tunnels, feel the cold temperatures and experience the terror of the unknown. Excellent read and hoping that there will be more books because I would really miss this group!!!!

The third book in the Joey Peruggia series Last Secret Keystone by Phil Philips continues the story from book 2, Last Secret Chamber. Joey, Marie, and Boyce must find the keystone to prevent the deaths of innocent tourists who were captured by a rogue DGSE major, Dimitri Panos, while visiting the Great Pyramid of Giza.
The trio, along with Julien Bonnet their boss, must prevent Dimitri from activating the portal. In their attempt to do so, they revisit many of the secret tunnels and chambers from the previous story that are now safe of traps, poisons, and Egyptian crocodiles.
For this reason, I did not find this installment in the series as compelling a read as the others. In fact, I found the recalling of the memories of the previous trials boring. I found the roller-coaster tension missing and yearned for more intrigue on Easter Island and more secret discoveries.
Perhaps the greatest thing about this book is that it will lead to a more exciting sequel.

Great continuation as the story unfolds
Another great read from a master story teller continuing the Perruga saga. As Marie prepares a special dinner for Joey, they are kidnapped and forced to help a crazed man and his blood seeking relative. Their first stop is to Easter Island to search for another keystone, then on to the Egyptian Stargate. The action is non-stop bringing Boyce and Julian together with a cast of new characters, as they are determined to help Joey and Marie prevent the opening of the Stargate. Phillips weaves the story through his special vision with the ups and downs, twists and turns, that are characteristic of a great writer. I loved this book and I had a hard time putting it down. Once finished, I was disappointed as I wanted more, as the clues to the adventure left me ready for the next book.

Received a Kindle copy as a GoodReads giveaway. I liked the plot, it kept my interest and made me want to find out how it ended. I haven't read any of the other books in the series, though. The author included brief info on some points, but I felt baffled through much of the book with all the references to events and people from previous books. I imagine series readers were much more comfortable with it all, but it's a little hard for a newbie to jump in at this point. The multiple locations were fun, sort of a Raiders of the Lost Ark feel, but the level of detail was sometimes overwhelming. I skimmed through some parts. So all in all a mixed bag for me, but I'm curious on where it goes in the next book.

The bad guy in this whole saga, had lost the plot, thinking that he would find where his dead daughter and wife had gone, by using a stargate.... How Looney is that!
However, when your the guy holding the gun, I think you become the guy in charge.
I am amazed that our three heroes haven't upped their combat skills after all that has transpired. Although, I suppose, you don't believe that anything will happen a second time, least alone the third incidents.
Okay, I will admit, I just wanted someone to shot the bad guy, instead of talking to him. I am sick of bad guys running rough shod over innocent people, fiction or not.
Time I read a different genre, I think.
Great series, if it can invoke such emotions.

Awesome Series!
Phil Phillips is a great storyteller, and one of my favorites now. This was such an exciting book, I didn't want to stop reading about Joey, Marie and Boyce when the book ended!
