Carrie loves to geocache, as well as volunteer her time with a local animal shelter and rescue group. While she enjoys traveling, she likes to spend most of her time at home with her wife and dogs.
She has written ten books in the Somerville series, and has revised and rereleased them as an independent writer.
Carrie has also written four stand-alone romances and has several more planned.

Excellent!
A false accusation, trouble everywhere and so much more anxious moments. An exciting installment and as always, a great storyline. The interaction between the characters, their silly and sometimes dangerous adventures, the dialogues, it all makes this series so enjoyable. Lex and Amanda, my favorite couple!

This book! This series! Brava!
More drama, family shenanigans, Martha and her wooden spoon, unexpected allies and enemies who get put in their place. Above all, a love that brings me to tears. This is one of my all-time faves from way back. Especially the first book will always have a place in my heart. A wholesome and pure love story of two hearts that are destined to be one.
I skipped books three and four but I still got all the feels in the fifth installment.
Well done!
Yes, it did really take me this long to read it. I doled the goodness out sparingly, not wanting the beautiful place of happiness to end too soon.
My rating: five stars

Where Lex Goes, Trouble Follows…
Oh my, Lex and Amanda are back and while things aren’t quite as dangerous. This is a much more emotional book than the rest but there is still more than enough drama to keep you on your toes! There is so much that goes on in this book and I am seriously afraid of giving away spoilers…. But in the blurb it says that Lex gets arrested so there is that. There is grief and joy, elation and devastation, love and loss, guilt and freedom. Like I said SO much happens in this book!! A lot of loose ends get wrapped up in this one so if you have been following this story this is a MUST READ! And if you haven’t read the series, I highly suggest you start because these feel good stories are really worth the read!

A little disappointing.
First is the lack of proofreading or editing. Every time there is an apostrophe in a word, an S was added. Thru the entire book. There are also many punctuation and spelling errors in the previews of books offered for sale. This book came out in 2001 (?). I'm reading it on my Kindle. Couldn't these mistakes be corrected before the Kindle edition was released?
But I was more disappointed that the book goes from one traumatic incident to another. Isn't Lex supposed to be a hard working rancher who never takes a day off? I made it this far with the series, but won't go any further.

Life challenges continue to invade Lexington and Amanda. How boring it would be if there were no challenges. One of the things I enjoy about this series besides the deep love and caring they have for each other are the supportive family and friends (well, other than the Hubert). I also enjoy the introduction of new characters.

so I bawled my eyes out through half of this one alternating with laughter!
God, what a great story teller Carrie L. Carr is! The saga continues some loose ends are tied up and the love of these two characters has grown with each book. The family is growing, the bonds are strengthened or completely severed. Michael is cut free from his crazy wife and may have found unsuspected love, Hubert finally is dispatched to jail, at least two of four bad guys have died. Lex and Amanda are finally married! Wow that was a lot of action. Looking forward to book six.

Awersome read and story.This time Lex and Amanda decide to get married.But Lex's father is ill. Herbert her brother is still trying to find ways to get rid of her. There is loss,betrayal, accidents, reunions and more.
Carrie L. Carr again did an excellent job writing this and allowed it to flow from start to the end.
Recommend Definitely 5***** STARS

Another great read following daily lives. Lex just can't stay out of trouble for 10 minutes. Armanda is super caring. Waiting to read the next book!

Beautiful
I so love this journey of Lex & Amanda's. But, I keep finding myself wiping tears from my eyes as I'm reading. Their love for each other is heart warming.
