Emmy had a rough start in life which left her with big ugly scars decorating her body. When her first boyfriend throws up after seeing her naked, she swears off love. She hides her skin under clothes and her heart behind school work. Too scared to open herself up to romance, she doesn’t think she will ever be able to trust again and let someone close. Then she realizes that she already trusts someone.

Jake and Lucas grew up with Emmy. The three have been best friends their whole lives and that doesn’t change after they finish high school and head to college together. The only thing that does change is the chemistry between them.

A great friends to lovers book. Best friends Emmy, Jake, and Lucas have been friends forever now off for the first year of college and sharing a house together
Emmy is scared of a relationship from a trauma when she was a teenager, Jake is more of a relationship guy and Jake is a player. One night they realize what trauma Emmy had and experienced how special she was and progressed from there. They Definitely ran into some problems with outsiders of the relationship. Two for one was a roller coaster of emotions, suspense, sweetness fun, and craziness and I loved every second of it. A must-read.

A BRILLIANT READ!!! TOTALLY HOOKED I TRUELY LOVE THIS TRIO.10/10
WOW WOW WOW
What a read .
Emmy, Jake and Lucas grew up together. They were the best of friends. They always had each others back so it only seemed fitting to go to college together. SO off they go to Florida.
They are living off campus in a 3 bed house and the friends are having the time of their life's. Parties and for Jake hook up's nearly most days. Lucas meets a girl and they seem to be getting on well. Emmy was a different story. When she was young she had a couple of operations that left some bad scarring on her chest that she was so self conscious about. She did try having a boyfriend before but it didnt end well and she had decided that she didnt need a man. But when the boys found out why it ended they decided to take matters into there own hands.
There are so many twists and turns in this book, but what really got me was the love that these three had for each other. I was blown away with this book and I honestly couldnt put it down. I was addicted to their story and my heart went out to Emmy who had so many issues that she needed to over come, but with the love and support from Lucas and Jake she really didnt have anything to worry about.
I totally loved this book

There’s a lot in this book that is hard to deal with. Emmy has had some unfortunate responses from people about some scars she has. Josh and Lucas were awesome and so sweet with how they protect her. It was too bad that it took Emmys mom some time to come around. HEA. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Heartbreaking, life-affirming, playful, and loving are just a few ways to describe this steamy novel. Emmy, Lucas, and Jake said since they were young children that they would always be together. Of course, when adult feelings and relationships are added to the mix, they find themselves in uncharted territory. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Emmy and her boys get 5 swimming Stars.

This book is amazing for a lot of reasons to be honest. First there is actually time progressing. Yes the time skips could have been more smooth but the story itself is told in over more than a month. I love it. Second. We actually see relationship behavior. The main characters talk and do normal stuff together and cuddle. THEY CUDDLE. Is there anything more amazing than an actual relationship being portrayed than the normal bunny behavior that seems to be normal in romance books? I want to be cuddled now. Third this book actually shows the struggles polygamy groups? Cupples? Have to face. It is not actually that common in real life. They will get stared at. They will have to live with the judgment. And the parents reaction was beautiful in a horrible way to show that.
Forth the plot was perfectly in length. Not to long to get boring and not to short so that you have the feeling something is missing. Just perfect.
Fifth. Well.... I hope I don't have to explain that part but... Omg.
Sixth the dynamic of our trio. The whole lifetime friends helped there a lot and I really enjoyed when they explained jealousy.

So yes a lot of positives but this book has one negative. A very obvious antagonist. No surprise there sadly. But who cares with this amazing relationship being build.

A beautiful MFM book from friends to lovers.

Emma, Lucas, and Jake all grew up together even ended up at the same collage sharing the same space they live and hang out together but eventually the boys start dating which mean Emma needs to think about the same thing only her romantic life ended in humiliation when she was a teenager and if not for some drinks and time spent alone with the guys she finally admits why she doesn't date one thing leads to another it all starts out as just her friends showing her that she's pretty and worthy of love but soon it gets complicated. Lucas has a girlfriend and Jake doesn't date just goes from one girl to the next but everything is different with Emma. But then disapproving parents and a crazy psycho ex-girlfriend they will scheme to separate them they the boys almost loose what's most import each other and the love they feel for Emma. I really liked watching the relationship between the three develop didn't much care for how Jake chose to deal with there break up but in the end he matured and stood up to everyone and showed his love for Emma. They all grew in different says but Emma learned to love herself and not care so much for what others thought.

I was allowed to receive and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.

Two for One – best deal ever! I love what Cassandra did with this book. This book is about Emmy, Jake, and Lucas. These three have been friends all their life. They are neighbors and have gone to school together as well. They have had sleep overs and everything that you can imagine. The story starts off with them heading off to the same college in Florida. They are all driving to Florida, and their parents are waiting outside of their home to send them off with tissues and cameras. They all leave and although they are close friends, Emmy has kept something from both Jake and Lucas that was so embarrassing for her. She finally tells them, and they end up helping her confront the fear she has always had and more. The story takes a turn when their parents find out and her life is now in danger as someone is trying to kill her. I love that the parents were understanding at the end as they saw what Jake and Lucas went through when they thought she was dead. I won’t go on about it, but please pick up a copy as it will keep you hooked from start to finish!

Emmy, Lucas and Jake are childhood friends. Once the three move away to college together things start to change and more than friendship starts to develop between the three of them. They each struggle in different ways trying to figure out their feelings, how their threesome could work and if being together is what they all really want. It was a nicely done story that kept the pages turning. I would say my only complaint was in how short the story was. I would have liked a little more depth to the characters. I felt like I was not fully invested in them and thus not fully invested in their story. That being said it did not stop me from wanting to know what happened next, to keep turning the pages. This is only the 3 or 4 book I have read by her and the other three were collaborations with another author. I look forward to reading more solo work and watching this author continue to develop and shape her own individual voice.

Lucas, Jake, and Emmy have been friends all their lives and now they are off to start college together. Emmy is afraid of rejection so she keeps to herself and Jake and Lucas are typical 18 year old boys not always thinking with the right head. When Emmy finally disclosed the truth behind her one and only relationship JKe and Lucas set out to prove that she is beautiful and desirable. What starts out as friendly persuasion soon becomes a full triad relationship. While in their bubble this works perfectly but soon outside forces find a way to push their beliefs and split them up. All three are heartbroken and angry when the unthinkable pushes them back together and solidifies their bond. These three make for a great read. The kidnapping seemed a little left field and I could have lived without reading about Jake trying to move on with some girl in an alley behind a nightclub, but I also understand the point behind the author using these scenes for the book. A good book with great characters.

Friends who prove to be there for her in more ways than one

With friends like Jake and Lukas Emmy is one very luck young woman. The three friends grew up together in this friends to lovers romance. The dynamic between the characters is wonderful as you can feel things start to shift with their feelings deepening. They have always loved each other and the guys were always protective of Emmy but when they cross that line things really take off.
The author has rewritten this story and made it a a well written and solid story with an emotional story-line. You just feel for Emmy as she was left with a really bad physical scar so that when she finally thinks she has found someone who is supposed to love her and he rejects her after seeing the scar she is hurt to say the least. But what she did not realize was that what she thought she had was much closer to her all along in the form of her two best friends.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

A Little Off

I enjoyed this book enough to read it in one sitting. I unexpectedly found the polyamory really hot and I love the way lack of jealousy was explained by Jake. I instinctually kept trying to pick a favorite guy but I don’t think I would have been able to choose either if I was Emmy.

Overall it was a good read but throughout the book I kept thinking “this would have been better if....”. I had to forget that they were college freshman because it’s really hard to believe these guys are 18 yr old sex gods. I we still saw that fun friendship between them after they get together. It seems everything they do leads to sex and as much as Emmy reiterates that everything’s still the same, I felt like their relationship was completely different. The sex scenes were hot but fell flat at the climax every time. I enjoyed reading the guys perspectives at the end, I would’ve liked a little more of that.

****SPOILER ALERT*****

I HATED the kidnapping. It instantly made me roll my eyes and made the entire book seem amateur. It was completely out of place, beyond dramatic, and there are a million other more appropriate ways Emmy could have gotten hurt or gone missing. Also, the engagement rings thing was a bit much for me. I would have been perfectly satisfied with them getting her another bracelet but once again it was the author taking things further than they needed to go.

Received ARC from BookSprout for Honest Review.
I Give this Book a 4/5 Star Rating.

HEA(?): Yes! Though you do get a bonus epilogue, kinda wish that there was a ‘several years later’ epilogue cause I would’ve liked to see them when they were years older. Because I really did enjoy this Trio.
Romance: 3.5-4ish/5
Drama/Suspense: 3.5/5, The drama & suspense are predictable, BUT not in a bad way! I liked it because it made the book easier to read, cause right now I’m not in search for a heavy drama or suspenseful puzzle romance.
Heat: 3.5/5

This will be a book I will reread for a long while, it’s a great palate cleanser and easy going ‘in a way’ cause of the relationship between the three and also the flow.
And in all honestly I hope for maybe a second book featuring them when they were older, maybe in an anthology?
This will be a memorable read for me.

Emmy, Lucas and Jake are going to give a sexy and memorable love triangle. Emmy after having self-conscious issues over a childhood surgeries. Finds herself after a bad first boyfriend swearing off men.

Her two childhood friends (Jake and Lucas) and her move in together for college and getting drunk one night let's out her biggest fear. These two want to make their friend feel worthy of dating.

The relationship doesn't start right away as where both guys are talking with other girls but fate is fickle when it wants what it wants. They have a slow teasing burn that gets hotter with each encounter. How will they make this 3 way work considering their parents are also friends? Very well written and one I'd recommend strongly. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This story took me from highs to lows and everything between. It is about three people that have been friends while growing up and now head off to college together. Their parents are close friends also. Emmy is scared from numerous childhood surgeries. Her one and only boyfriend was an uncaring idiot that made her decide to never date again. After a few drinks she tells Jake and a Lucas about her fears. They all love each other but don't know how to even go about admitting it. They are also worried about their parents. When Emmy is kidnapped and left for dead, the guys know they will never be happy without her. I recommend this story because it is well written with great characters and an emotional storyline.

Best friends Emmy, Jake and Lucas have done everything together since they have little. They are off to college and will be living together. The dynamic between these three best friends is great but yet Emmy is afraid of crossing the line and seeing if there could be more than just a friendship with Jake and Lucas. As they all navigate there way through college, dating and forging there own paths in life will the chemistry that they all have be enough to have a relationship or will it ruin there friendship. This book took me on a roller coaster of emotions when I was reading it. Pick up this book to see what happens between Emmy, Jake and Lucas.

WOW...just wow! This book was perfection! Cassandra Hallman is a writing genius! Emmy, Jake, and Lucas were wonderful characters. I read this book in one sitting and at the end I was begging for more! Emmy, Jake, and Lucas were childhood friends. Emmy has been there and seen all of Jake and Lucas's girlfriends and playmates. Emmy, however, has a major hangup about a scar on her body. On the one occasion she was going to have sex, the guy freaked out about the scar and quickly left. Emmy has never shown the scar to anyone else except her mom and dad. Jake and Lucas on a drunken occasion get Emmy to open up about why she never dates. Jake and Lucas might just be the therapy she needs to move forward.

Emmy, Lucas, and Jake were friends since they were young in school. Jake would sleep around a lot Lucas also did some. They decided to go to the same college and live together to save money. Emmy was having trouble going out on a date since her only up wigged out on her. Jake and Lucas showed her that she was special and that they loved her and they were ok being together. They had problems with her mother, she didn’t want them to be together then Lucas’s ex girlfriend kidnapped her and left her dead. But she was found and they stayed together and the parents didn’t say anything against it! So a happy ending!!

Friends to lovers times two

Emmy has the most devoted best friends in Jake and Lucas, having been best friends and loyal companions as well as champions. When called upon, these young men behave with true honor towards Emmy helping her build/rebuild her self esteem and confidence. Along the way their platonic love of friendship blossoms into true, romantic love. These men are more mature than Emmy (in relationships) and they guide her along toward self acceptance and are very sweet to read. I enjoyed this novel and recommend it.

Bless Emmys heart. The start of her life was rough and has left her with Scars all over her body. To her horror and mine her first boyfriend throws up when he sees her body formthe first time. I swear this broke my heart. Needless to say she is swearing off love to forever.. She can never trust anyone again and is swearing off love. However that all changes with Jake and Lucas, the two guys she grew up with and the only ones she thinks she can trust. Now they are off to college and things are so going to change. This book is so good and i couldn't put it down. I fell so in love with these characters and the stories they have to tell.

I thought this book was okay.
As someone who has her own surgical scars I understand how they can impact on someone's confidence and body issues so the premise was believable and the story was sweet.
Our leading lady Emmy was perfectly likeable but just a bit too nice and naive for me.
The biggest issue I had that stopped me loving the story is that I never really felt like I got to know the guys (Lucas and Jake) so there was no real emotional connection that had me engaged with them.
An easy quick read for me this book has a lot more potential I just wish there had been some more character development beyond the surface and that there was more story telling.

This is the first book I've read written solely by this author. Previously, I've read one that she co-authored. Both were equally good. I enjoyed the interactions and chemistry between Emmy and her two best friends, Lucas and Jake. There were ups and downs for them, along with some danger. Would Emmy survive? Would their relationship? You'll have to read this one to find out. Overall, I liked the story and am looking forward to reading more by this author.

Three kids grow up together and turn in to three great friends. Their relationship changes over time and they start to realize that both the male characters have feelings for the main female character. This story moves along pretty quickly, and the entire book is over before you know it as it only takes a couple of hours to read. But in those hours you can expect to see the characters evolve from kids in to adults who know what and who they want.

This was so good! I love that Emmy, Jake, and Lucas are best friends and are there for each other through everything. But with every relationship, you don't know everything and when Jake and Lucas find out what happened to Emmy, that's when it gets interesting. I love their relationship and the love that they already had as friends as that made their romantic relationship all the better. There are other twists and turns and some suspense that just kept me glued to the story the whole time.

This one is hot! Not to mention one of my favorite tropes, love triangle!!! It starts off with a little bit of angst but then dives right into the steam and of course the drama that comes along with it! It made me laugh, it also broke my heart at one point so have some tissues handy. Trust me when I say you will fall in love with Jake, Emmy and Lucas. I loved this book so much Cassy did a great job with this story 😍 And the ending was perfect!
