This is book two of the Wildes Witch Academy and sees the main character Bianca Nash in prison and on trial for the murder of Justin Holt, ordered by the witch’s coven when it was revealed that her ancestors were from the Wildes family. A name that had been wiped from the records and thought to be ended, after the council killed all of their line, for the actions of some who used their power for evil and became mass murderers. The Wild Magic Containment Force WMCF) haven’t even bothered to look for another suspect, even with there being little to no evidence of her guilt. Just her ancestor’s very name has made her guilty. If she can’t be proven innocent, then she could be stripped of her magic or even put to death!

All the evidence that Bianca and Shane had been helping Justin as he worked undercover to reveal something linked to the academy, has been destroyed and even Justin’s partner had pointed the finger of guilt at her. The main opponent to her, is Russell McKee, related to the headmaster of the academy and even a relation to Bianca’s boyfriend Shane’s dad. He visits her in prison to further push his presence and power over her, but also to gain further proof of her abilities and provoked her into having a vision. Further proof that he needed her gone and as quickly as possible. She sees a woman being held in a cell, filthy, no windows and heavily pregnant. Pure evil of Russell’s making!

She finally has a lawyer, despite Shane’s numerous attempts to hire on, no one had been willing to work on her behalf. Her lawyer, named Julian, has never taken a criminal case, but at least he volunteered to take her case, when it went to the organization of lawyers left, that would have to take clients. He has little chance of finding any evidence to prove her innocence since it has all been destroyed. Even those that should have been testifying on her behalf, as parts of her alibi, have been forced to change their testimony! Shane’s alibi that she was with him, is totally ignored, as she supposedly used her wild magic on him. Her family name is corrupt and no one will believe a word she says, due to her ancestor’s actions!

The woman in the cell appears in her dreams and Julian explains that means she is trying to summon her and must have a bloodline link to her own family in the past somewhere. Never mind Bianca’s own problems, if she can somehow locate this woman, then they may be able to link it to Russell and his minions and also to Justin’s murderer. Julian looks for missing women records and manages to trace three for the time period that matches the woman’s incarceration. One is linked to a banshee, from a family with influence on the witch’s council and if they can get any other evidence, they may be able to help change the minds of some on the council. Two sisters, Ivy and Shauna, are looking for their sister Avery, who has been missing for a couple of years. One of the council members was infatuated with her and may be somehow linked to her being missing from her family.

The sisters help with an officer in the computer department, to link evidence of images near the murder scene of a strange man, plus evidence of Bianca’s actual location at the time of the murder, finally brings some doubt of her guilt to some of those on the council. The end of the trial comes and Bianca now needs to rely on the two sisters producing enough evidence and trust that they will help her, whether she can find their sister alive or not. Will they be yet another disappointment in her short life, or will they help her and Shane to gain her actual freedom? The evil past stuck to her ancestor’s name, is now haunting her very existence and there are plenty in the magical community that would see her dead, just for the bloodline she has come from.

A great second book in this series and Bianca finally manages to get someone else onto her side, who can see past the history of her ancestor’s name and help her in her quest to reveal who was actually responsible for Justin’s death. If they can also help the women who are being used as broodmares and imprisoned in vile conditions, then that will also be a plus and possibly help others to see that her ancestor’s powers can be used for good, as well as evil. Major events are happening in this book and there are many opponents to be overcome and more danger for Bianca and her friends. I can’t wait to see what may happen next! I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

This is book 2 in the Wildes Witch Academy. I don't want to include a lot of spoilers, so here goes. You do need to read the first book. This is not a standalone story. The book opens with Bee still in jail and struggling to find anyone who will help her with her case as well as any evidence to secure her freedom. She knows bad things are happening, but those in power are the ones committing the crimes, and they seem untouchable. It's up to Bee and her inherited ancestral abilities to make it happen. Along the way, she does indeed find some outside help. There are some really powerful scenes in this I think, especially when Bee is using her gifts to try and locate the woman she'd been seeing in her visions. Bee and Shane's relationship remains as steady as ever, and new bonds are formed with some new characters. I think there are still some loose ends that could be explored, and I'd love to see how she goes about carving out the corruption in her world. I really enjoyed this book, this is one of those I read all in one go, and it gave me a lot to think about and wonder about after I was done. I received an ARC copy of this book.

In book 2 of series. Bianca lands in jail for the murder of Justin the MWCF agent even though she has an alibi with Shane her boyfriend. She had other charges, but as long as she was a Wilde the enemy of the coven. Her chances didn't look good but Shane was not giving up and she couldn't either. She was stuck in a basement without windows. Julian is the lawyer that Shane has brought for her but he is not what she would call much to work with but he is a different person when he stands up in the courtroom though there is not much he can do but he does try. She was contacted through her dreams of a woman being held against her will. Bianca gets a visit from Shauna and Ivy Delvaux who were sisters, and are looking for Ivy's lover. They are willing to help her if she will help them. A bargain is struck but things still seem not to be in her favor but she won't stop trying to help someone who so obviously needs help. Things are looking up and she is shocked when a vote is taken. Great mystery suspense romance. The storyline and the characters are so real. I was given an ARC as a gift from the author without obligations. I am providing an honest review.

A Dangerous Witch is Book 2 in the Wildes Witch Academy series by Holly Ice. Bianca (Bee) is still up to her neck in trouble as we find her on trial for Justin's murder. Shane is her only ally and has gotten her a lawyer. Will Bee be able to prove her innocence? Will her new powers help her? Bee does get two new allies in return for her help, but can she trust them. This is a very engaging book which I thoroughly enjoyed reading, kept turning pages to the end. Many of the questions from the first book were answered. Everything about this series seems so real. I highly recommend it, but you must read Book 1, A Throwback Witch first. I received an ARC from the author and this is my voluntary and honest review.

An amazing ending to a great 2 book series. The only question is, is it really the end or is there more for Bianca and Shane.

This book really had nothing bad to tell about. Brutally realistic, honest & full of high actions & emotions book 2 was an amazing read.

The ending of the book does throw you a bit because it leaves you confused whether this is the ending or is the series going to continue.

Holly Ice has taken care to create an ending that offers both the options.

I'll be gladly looking for more.

This story starts with Bee on trial Justin's murder. Her boyfriend Shane is the only person on her side. The proof that would prove her innocence has been stolen by the real murderer. Her family surname (Wilde) has everyone on the coven jury convinced that she is a murderer in that of itself. Her only hope is to use her newfound powers to try to prove her innocence.I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and this is my honest review.

Looking forward to next book

I am looking forward to the next book in series since we finally are at a point where she might start being able to learn more magic and maybe find some friends other than her boyfriend.

I thought her familiar is completely useless in both books so there was that, but overall I liked the story.
