In The Wedding Dress, the brand new book in Lucy Kevin's Top 10 bestselling “Four Weddings and a Fiasco” series, Anne Farleigh's stunning dress designs are a large part of what makes a wedding at the Rose Chalet so coveted. Just when she is about to create the most important dress of her career, Anne finds out shocking news about her father's past. She's spent her entire life believing that her parents shared the perfect love story. But did they? Or was it all just a lie...
Gareth Cavendish runs both his Private Investigation firm and his life by the book. But when he serves Anne with papers relating to her father's alleged affair two decades earlier—and the illegitimate daughter that resulted from it—he finds it impossible to remain strictly professional. Anne is simply the most beautiful, sweet, and open-hearted person he's ever met. Only, how many rules will Gareth have to break to help her learn how to believe in love again?

“I loved this book. It reminded me of Nora Roberts’ wedding series. I cannot wait for Phoebe to find love. The Rose Chalet seems like an interesting place to bring unlikely people together.” ~ Ashleigh, review for THE WEDDING GIFT
“What an awesome page turner for us sappy romance readers. I loved every minute of this book. I ended up finishing the book late into the night. I cannot wait for the 2nd in the series.” ~ Fay, review for THE WEDDING GIFT

A very quick read, as were the others. I think I liked this one less, but it's a series and I can't help but want to finish a series.
What didn't I like? Two, maybe three things.
Anne is almost appallingly positive. She's TOOO good. I won't spoil it for anyone else, but she made me cringe a time or two, by the way she expressed herself and how she liked things because of smiles etc. I'm a romantic, but I'm also a realist, and I'd like a bit more realistic characterization.
Both characters fall too fast (yes, it's a small book, but after the first meeting?), and show immediate life changes without any true conflict or cause for growth. I know, I know, it's a romance, so why am I expecting that? Probably because the first three books had characters that grew out of their encounters (even if it was a bit superficial), and changed as a result of that growth. Not this "Oh, I see the light, here's my change" characterization in this story.
Finally, the changes I mention are completely the opposite of these characters core beliefs. Big changes, something on the line of life shattering changes. They don't work. I like the story less as a result.
2.5 stars. I expect a certain amount of unreality and sappiness when I read romance, but this was a new low. Anne is so sickeningly sweet, to the point of being ridiculous. I liked Gareth, but I just couldn't deal with Anne's unrealistic happiness.
Anne is a Dress designer and Gareth an investigator who is working a case that Anne’s half sister wants her half of the inheritance. Anne said she father was faithful and she has no half sister Gareth falls in love with Anne and doesn't want to see her in pain, he tries to make it easier on her but only makes it worse.
I know this was a short story but I find it hard to believe they fell in love the first day and the second had sex. Anne just seems too innocent for her to go so wild overnight. Just to must to fast and it does seem the story was rushed. I do think this would have been a wonderful story had it had a little time to grow. I did like the fact that this was a clean read we didn't read endless sex acts. This was a cute read it isn't my favorite of this series but to follow and get the more background a must read.
This was cute but falling in love after 3 days together I mean come on!! This one was more action than the wedding venue it always seemed to be at which was a nice change but I feel like we never really got to see much of Anne in other books like we have with all the other people. I am looking forward to this last book with Rose and RJ, this has been building with each book and I'm excited to see where it goes.
I read all five books in this series, I should have quit half way through the first one. They all get the same review: Stupid woman, perfect guy, no idea what he sees in her. However, this one was the worst of the five. Anne is stupid beyond belief, every part of the story highlights how clueless she is. Her boyfriend-in-two-minutes is named Gareth. I hate that name, it does not fit. Garrett would have been much better and caused me less eye-rolling. He is great, but his story was unbelievable too. He was a former police officer trying to become a P.I., and yet he had a gorgeous apartment in San Francisco with a bay view and a Jaguar, I don't think so. Maybe he inherited money, but you'll never know because he has no family that you are aware of. In addition, they fell in love at first sight, I never buy into that trash.
Anne doesn't care that it's raining and she's getting soaked, tonight at Tyce's come back concert she'd had a great time and then when Whitney had showed up...wow! She notices a man standing by a car when she arrives home and can't help but wonder why he's there. When he asks if she is Anne and comes up on the porch to get out of the rain, he hands her an envelope. She is in shock and denial about the contents as she knows her father would never have done what they imply. After all her parents were holding hands when they died in a car crash! No the papers were wrong! Will Gareth convince her that it's in her best interest to go to the mediation hearing? Will Anne come out ok? Will she be able to stay positive? How will Rose, her bestfriend and boss along with RJ help? Only one way to find out, read this great story by Bella Andre.
It was a good little story but way too short. For everything that happened in the story I think it is unrealistic to think these things could happen in real life. The system just doesn't move that fast (and do people really declare their love for each other that quickly). There was definitely room for expansion on this story, more character building, more opportunity to lay a foundation for the last book in the series but all in all it was a cute, wholesome (mostly) romance novel.
Anne is a wonderful wedding dress designer, she designs dressed for the bride's with a thought of what she is looking for. She comes home to find Gareth at his house to serve her papers on a possible half sister. The bad thing is Gareth like Anne and hurt her when she believes her father didn't cheat.
What a great read from Lucy/Bella. Anne and Gareth are both in a hectic situation and this is a sweet love story with a lot of doubt and betrayal for Anne to take but she has to find a way her love for Gareth and her family doesn’t change, and mistakes happen but loving someone through those mistakes. Can’t wait for Roses story
She’s a wedding dress maker, part of a wedding business. She hasn’t found her true love but enjoys giving the bride s beautiful wedding dress. Her life changes as a PI hands her documentation that she’s being sued by her half sister that she knew nothing about. But the PI is very cute.
The book is not bad it’s just too short hence too quick and too simple. The characters are likable but there’s no suspense, action (I don’t mean explicit sex) or anything that would be the trama less predictable. At the end of the book there’s a brief introduction to the next book that was more interesting than the book itself.
She's a Pollyanna, almost to the point I felt she wasn't quite right in the head. More evidence when she brings Gareth home after knowing him what--two days?--and declares she loves him.
To be fair, he didn't have the sense to cut and run at that point so I guess they did belong together.
Another quick read! I really liked this group so I was looking forward to seeing how everyone hooked up, but this one seemed a bit unrealistic to me with the PI all of a sudden falling for Anne and then abandoning the rules which he has always followed.
Four Weddings and a Fiasco book 4. So freaking sweet. A love story for the all ages. You wanna be friends with these characters. This story is angsty and funny. Drama filled and heartwarming.
I enjoyed this book. The series is a fun read. It was interesting to see how the situation played out and probably could have been more to it, but I liked the quick read over the too much back and forth stuff.
Won this story in a Goodreads Giveway book: Kiss the Bride. I really enjoyed this short and sweet romance story of Anne and Gareth. Story seemed to be very realistic.
Anne has the sweetest attitude I have ever seen and Gareth is perfect for her. When a woman claimed she and Anne share a father it destroyed Anne’s perfect world and when it’s delivered by the guy she is falling for, she handles it with more grace than most.
