I didn’t have time in my life to reread Stitches before I started this one, but the first few chapters of this book gives you a decent and quick refresher of the important details you need to know. I remember liking the last one for the action and the complicated criminal plot, and this one was the same, with page turning action and funny dialogue, as well as strong relationships between the characters. The writing style could be better for me- this series also doubles as a very clear map to Boston with how much it mentions specific street names, buildings and landmarks, and there is a lot of repetition with certain words, but the world is still immersive and I enjoy reading the characters interact. I think reading the first book again would’ve enhanced my reading experience of this one- I think it would’ve helped me connect some of the details better- but I still felt all kinds of emotion and anxiety at certain parts. Samantha is a mutual on bookstagram and I can’t wait to see where she goes with this series because it has great potential!
