I read the free book from Chapel Library.

I learned about righteous anger and sinful anger. I learned about submission to God’s providential dealings, and also how to deal with and resolve sinful anger.

The most comforting takeaway from this book is that anger is a gift from God as a symptom of something being wrong, just like pain. I have never thought of anger this way, and it is sort of freeing. There are prayers at the end of each section and they’re such comforting prayers. Thank you Chapel Library for printing and shipping such wonderful books for free.

A Chapel Library book. Good sound principles on the differences between righteous anger and unrighteous anger; and how to deal with anger in ourselves and anger in others.

I’ve recommended this book to many but I just finished it and found the last section on habitual anger to be a bit concerning…specifically number 3. We can’t tiptoe around angry people allowing them to have their way for the sake of peace…especially in the church. The issue needs to be addressed and church discipline should be enacted. From what I hear he better explains it in the book Controlling Your Anger Before it Controls You.
