I only know three things for certain. First, the Assassin's Legion will stop at nothing to annihilate every student at Bloodwing Academy. Second, my power is growing rapidly and my true nature will soon be beyond my control. Third, Striker Draven's love will destroy me.

Oh, and there's a fourth: Striker's ex has returned and she's intent on getting him back.

Determined to protect my friends, I'll fight any attack on the Academy. I'll curb my inner nature to keep them safe. I'll even take on Striker's ex. But mind and body, heart and soul, love is my poison.

This is a full-length 120,000 word dark academy romance, the second and final book in the Assassin's Academy series. An enemies to lovers romance for fans of action and intrigue.

**Recommended reading age is 17+ due to language and heat level.

**Disclaimer: Assassin's Academy is set in the Assassin's Magic world. It can be read as a standalone but contains some spoilers for the Assassin's Magic series.

This feels like the end of an era! I hope to someday read more in this marvelous universe! The main characters in this duology are so very dark. They have deep wells of anger and mistrust. Seeing Striker and Peyton learn how to survive while breaking each other is completely heart wrenching! You want them to find peace and true love but it seems so utterly unattainable. Surrounded by evil beings and being feed lie upon lie, how ever will the students of Bloodwing gain their freedom? Blood runs freely and violence is taught daily. In a world where everything is so very precarious, how will Peyton become her true self? Can Striker save himself and his fellow pupils? The inclusion of Hunter and her friends throughout this (which totally makes me hardcore fangirl) is such a pivotal part! I love seeing the further progression of characters I loved! This gave me such joy at its conclusion as all the things that I so hoped for came to pass!! Well done Ms. Frost!! This is brilliant and memorable and so perfectly written!! I'm going to miss these characters...

Okay nice and easy steps first...This is the final book in the Assassin's world that Everly Frost has written....so for me it goes without saying, but you do not want to miss out on this ending!

When I finished this book yesterday I thought writing this review would come naturally lol with how much I absolutely LOVED this final book. But it's really hard, coz I know by writing this review that means it's really over and gah I don't want that to be true! So I will say this, If it had to end, this wrapped all the books up oh so perfectly. All my questions were answered and if I have to say goodbye, then this was the way to go. It goes out with a bang.

But before you get to this point...this book is gonna rip at your heart and destroy you. A lot has to go down before it gets better. So you best get used to trying to hold yourself together. That feeling of your heart in your throat and all that....I know I said in the first book to Assassin's Academy that it was intense...but dayum it's nothing compared to what this book throws at you. It's like living on an active volcano. You have the intensity/fear of knowing you're living on the edge the whole time and then the reality of when it does eventually all blow up.

I knew with this book I was going to need to prepare myself for literally anything but I don't think anything could've prepared me for what went down...

I'm giving you a friendly heads up, that this book will not give you time to take the hits, nope...you're just left on the edge of your seat wondering if your heart can take another hit...or whether you should just offer it to the black market.

With all the angst and hurting this book put on my heart and all the stress I encountered, I'm beginning to think Everly's goal is to make me accustomed to this feeling...

And that one day when I read her works I'll just all casually be sitting amongst the fire, of her making and be totally chill about it.

All that aside, this was a damn good book!...you may be in near hysterics in parts...more than once I might add...Everly knows this, coz I told her I nearly messaged her on a tirade because I thought something unforgivable happened and I was all like

And then I had to get hardcore on myself and it mostly worked lol.

And that was when I would read on and I would be like

So if you love having your emotions torn all over the place...then I shouldn't really need to say much more to convince you. Coz this book has all of that... I will say though that this book will own your heart and soul and even though it hurts a lot...

This book deserves your attention...and so deserves to be read. A book that can control emotions so much like this book did for me...it demands to be read and when you start reading it, you won't be able to deny it. It's like Peyton herself is compelling you to read and we know a Fury is just something we can't ignore...and we won't want to.

If you have read the first book what the heck are you doing reading this review?! If it's for entertainment purposes...then that's okay and is excusable but nothing else is. Just go and read the book. It's simple. Trust me. You want this kind of pain. It's what all us booklovers crave.

Hmm, I guess you want some story background? In that case, I suggest if you haven't read the first book you stop here...coz spoilers for book one are bound to come out. I know I'm good but I'm not that good.

So basically at the end of book one we have the students making a deal with Hadrix to train them for their mutual survival against the Assassin's. From here we get to see into the minds of Hunter (eeek once again!), Striker and Peyton. You feel each step of the way and experience what they are all thinking and feeling to such powerful levels. You watch as they "train" under these men, who believe they can control them by sheer force. Make them into weapons to save them from the Assassin's that are gunning for them. Or so they make them believe.

Even as each student finds their monster, the battles all become both physical and mental ones. All of them are basically trying to protect the other but in doing so a lot get hurt. Striker tries to push away Peyton for her safety and she doesn't even understand why. But in the end, will they all become the one thing they are trying to avoid? Like the evil men that surround them?

"My plan is my own. A path I made for myself four months ago without realizing the battles I would have to fight along the way. I was born to be one of the bad guys, so that’s what I’ll become."

Many paths are woven and everyone basically has their own game that they are playing and trying to win. It's a web of lies. But meanwhile, everyone is getting stronger and hands are being shown...sides picked and Peyton may just unleash her own brand of punishment to the men that think they can break or control her.

"I'm not a woman. I'm a fury, and he will never break me. Nobody will."

This book seriously had so much to love about it. I loved each of the fighting spirits of these students and their determination and will to survive. They never cease to amaze you with what they endure and yet no matter how many times they get knocked down they just get right back up again. You remember that scene in the Last Samurai, the rain fight one?...where he just keeps getting up...that's what these kids remind me of...and like him they only get stronger for it.

So much happens in this final book, there's a lot of twists and turns that will almost give you whiplash keeping up. New allies are made, new deals struck, New unknowns unlocked and truths that will be learnt. It's time to step out of the darkness for them and see it all.

If you're anything like me, you'll probably be extremely tired by the time you reach the end and may just be a bit of an emotional wreck.

Everything about this story was constructed to the finest detail. You will love the characters and the growth they undergo, particularly in this book and will love the crossover of Assassin's Magic and Assassin's Academy...be ready for timelines to merge and finally have all the answers.

And you're going to love the angst of the romance...it is to die for. It has you on your toes the whole time. At one point I was uncertain how it'd play out but thankfully...you'll have a happy heart by the end.

"Love might kill me, but I want it."

This is a story you do not want to miss. Pen it into your calendars folks because if you miss this book you will regret it. It will take you on one hell of a ride that you won't forget and it'll also leave you with a major bookhangover. It's a day later and I'm all like

I'll tell you if I've moved on in that time lol.

Anywho, if I haven't convinced you yet I'm losing my touch haha...let's just hope it isn't on today's review.

Thank you as always to the amazing Everly for the incredible journey you take me on with each book of yours. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us yet. Thank you also for the chance to read and review this series in place for an honest review.

This book picks up pretty much where book 1 ends. Lots of things happen, some stupid decisions and things work out. I liked the fact that it's a dualogy and done well. It is definitely a roller coaster ride on this one as lot of things happen in the beginning, then slows a bit in the middle appropriately and then picks up again.

Peyton is a force to be reckon with. Now that she realizes that she's a fury and pretty much indestructible she is hell bent on protecting those she loves and cares for. She hated how the academy treated the students and the new Hadrix family isn't any better. However, she is out of options and ready to strike a deal to protect what she can including Striker.

Hadrix and his family. They are awful and deserved what became of them.

Striker, is just pitiful, headstrong, broken and made me angry half the time. But, he does redeem himself eventually.

I enjoyed this series despite not reading the previous Assassin's series with Hunter and Slade. They do make an appearance in this one. However, I did not feel like I missed on this world by not reading the other one. It stands on its own and I liked that.

Nice and neat end

I’m unsure how I feel about this book and what seems like a “fitting” end to the Assassin’s Magic world. Sure Ms. Frost can go back and expand on Cain and Archer’s lives together or give us more scenes of Hunter and Slade as parents or even circle back to life at Bloodwing; but I couldn’t shake the feeling that this book was a struggle to write/read. It just went on and on and certain scenes were far more drawn out than necessary. I felt the action and writing finally hit their stride when Frost focused on Hunter and the characters we were already well acquainted with.
This series overall wasn’t as strong as the parent story and I just couldn’t help but not care about the students, their plight, or anything until Hunter and Slade were interjected into the story.

Hello darkness, my old friend!

If you thought the first book was dark then hang on tight, because this one jumps up several notches! My emotions during this book were all over the map! There was also a spot when I wanted to stop reading because I was pretty sure my heart was going to break for good, but there was enough book left that I pressed on and Ms. Frost was able to redeem herself, haha! Woo it got dark though! I loved seeing familiar faces from the Assassin's series. What a great final book for Peyton and Striker!

I liked the first book of this series a lot. I thought that the plot was really interesting, especially in a school setting. The romance was also kind of twisted in an interesting and not entirely offputting way. It was fun to read.

This second book was pretty much entirely frustrating. My main issue is that it follows basically the same path as the first book. The driving purpose of the first book was to escape the academy, but then they're all stuck in the same basic situation just some different people. I understand why it took place in the same setting, but it just would have been so much more fulfilling if the students were in control instead of the outsiders.

The whole training to kill Hunter was super frustrating because Peyton spends basically the entire book working towards something that we know is unnecessary and misguided. I maintain that communication is the most important part of a relationship, so Striker's lying and keeping the truth from Peyton made me really irritated. They should have been able to discuss it together, instead of completely isolating Peyton. Also, they did this for nothing because Peyton didn't even need to kill Hunter which made the whole plot of this book seem unimportant because I couldn't even root for the MC knowing that she was wrong.

Overall, I just think that this second book should have gone in an entirely different direction.

Assassin's Academy: Book Two: Revenge by Everly Frost is once again captivating and everything you expect from this author and the world she has created.

You’ll be drawn into this world once again from page one and won’t want to put the book down. It’s definitely sad that this is the end of this magical world, but you’ll be so wrapped up in the story and the flow that when it’s over it’s just seems right - after you spend a moment taking it all in.

I highly recommend both the Assassin’s Academy series and Assassin’s Magic - which should be read first, even though they can be read as standalone series.

Review in facts :

Concept/Plot: This is the final book in the assassins magic and assassins academy world. There were some questions left unanswered from the first series (assassins magic) and now everything is coming together with a bang. There’s so many twists and turns. I loved every second of this.

World building: Same as the previous books (Academy and assassins world)

Writing style: Just as good as the first book. In this book we not only follow the POV of Peyton and Striker, but also Hunter.

Character development: yes our academy characters learn more and more about their abilities, their enemies and possible new allies. Still definitely a plot driven book in end.

Pacing: heart racing type of fast

Interesting/unique magical system: same as book one, although more and more of the students find out what kind of monsters they are - those were some of my favourite scenes

Strong heroine/hero: yes, Peyton really gives everything she has in this book, as does Striker - it was heartbreaking. I really appreciate when an author is not afraid to make their characters not all good or all bad. Peyton and Striker are both morally grey characters who make mistakes.

Villains with motives: they’re just awfully bad, dark people with a desire to manipulate, torture, control, gain power and destroy... I hated them so much, I guess that means they were well written

Favourite characters: Honestly? All of them. I found that even the side characters each had a purpose in this story and their own unique personalities.

Facts about side characters/relationship of side characters and MC: Okay so obviously they don’t always make the right decisions but they learn from their mistakes and I appreciate that. There’s not one completely helpless character in this book.

***************************

** ! SPOILERY FACTS BELOW ! **

! Trigger/Content Warnings: mild sex scenes, violence, blood, fighting, killing - some scenes were really tough for me to read (but I’m really sensitive with those things 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Violence: yes, (brutal) fighting scenes, blood, killing
Romance: yes, enemies to lovers
o Love triangle/cheating: no
o RH (reverse harem): no
o Sexual content: yes, but it’s not explicit at all (Everly Frost leaves most to imagination)
HEA : yes
Character deaths: yes
Cliffhanger: no

******************************

Recommend: yes
Re read / or would re read in the future: yes, I would re read this series

Of all of the books Frost has written so far, the Assassin’s Academy ones have been my favorite. The characters are so damaged, yet redeemable, and seem to be a well-kept secret inside the Frost’s world. They tie in beautifully to the Assassins, Fae, Wolves, and the list goes on. I was hesitant to read this because so many Academy books are cliché, young, naïve, and hormonal, but these two short books are anything but. I really REALLY wish the story of Peyton and Stryker had been drawn out to three books or more. They really were one of my favorite enemies to lovers stories I’ve ever read. There’s just so much depth to them because of their trauma and dark backgrounds that it truly captivated me.

This second book took some turns that I did not expect, and didn’t necessarily enjoy at the time, but that’s the beauty of this dark series. It’s dark, and you don’t always get your perfect sunshine and roses along the path you walk through the darkness. The ending especially wrenched my heart, but I can step back and see how it fits with their characters. I really hope they show back up in a later book because I just don’t think their tale is finished yet.

Revenge by Everly Frost is everything a sequel should be — intense, emotional, and utterly unputdownable. Picking up after the explosive events of Rebels, this book amps up the danger, deepens the character arcs, and delivers a gripping ride from beginning to end.
Peyton continues to shine as a powerhouse heroine — determined, sharp, and brimming with heart. Every choice she makes comes from a place of strength, even when it costs her. She’s grown into a force to be reckoned with, and I couldn’t love her more for it.
Striker? Still dark, still dangerous, and still impossible not to fall for. His loyalty, his pain, and his slow unraveling around Peyton made this book just as much about emotional healing as it was about justice. Their chemistry burns brighter than ever, but it’s the trust they fight for — inch by inch — that makes this story unforgettable.
Everly Frost writes with cinematic intensity and raw emotion, blending edge-of-your-seat action with scenes that hit straight in the heart. Revenge is more than a fight for freedom — it’s about reclaiming your soul, your story, and your power.

Book 6 in Assassin's Magic series

As I sit to type this review, I feel as though the words won't come because that ending quite literally broke me; but if I'm being completely honest, the entire book broke my heart and pieced it back together over and over. Now I'm not so patiently waiting for book 7.

A roller coaster ride of emotions in this action-packed supernatural academy trial. This book is packed to the brim with one impossible situation/decision after the other. Revenge continues to work somewhat in the background/alongside the overall developing storyline with some crossover characters to help piece it all together. The path between love and hate is a fine line of happiness and despair.

This is book two of the assassins set in the academy side and focuses on Striker and Peyton's relationship. I have to admit my favourite parts of the book were where it merges with Hunter and Slade etc as the first four books are my favourite.

I find academy and youngster books sometimes frustrate me as their is a lack of communication and normally a lot of poor decision making. This one is really frustrating as we know Hunter is a good person and the focus on Peyton to kill her just hits weird. The fact that she lets these bad people manipulate her when she knows they are bad makes me want to hang my head.

The best parts about the book for me is the interactions with the other students and the found family angle and how they come into their own.

Her monster is in control now and… She is fierce.

Dayum! Everly! Peyton and Striker's story is full of passion with roadblocks every time something good goes their way! That final scene, jaw, floor! Brutal but awesome!

This story is a continuation of the Assassin's Magic series and we follow Peyton and Striker as they protect and teach the students of Bloodwing Academy. But of course evil in the form of Vulture and her family are trying to control every one or destroy those who don't comply.

Everly always has a way of dragging the reader in, her world building, strong females, supportive males and friends and storytelling grip you and keep you enthralled!

I'm excited to read Rogue and see how Peyton and Striker's story pans out! "I released a Fury and she's f..king beautiful!"

Revenge is an apt title for the 6th book in the Assassin’s Magic series. It’s quite dark at times as Peyton moves towards her vengeance. There’s a ton of action and the twists and turns I’ve come to expect in Everly Frosts books. And by expect I mean I know they’re coming but I rarely know what they will be. This book made me feel so many emotions along the way. It’s very well written and addicting to read! I love Peyton and Striker and their story. I really enjoyed when Hunter and Slade appeared because they are some of my most favourite characters of Everly’s. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

So sad it was the last assassin book!

I LOVE the assassin's world! This academy duet was so many things - dark, dramatic, heart-warming, passionate, heart-breaking. Yep my heart was in my throat a lot and could barely put the books down. And the ending - happy sigh!
I love that the POV of Hunter comes into this book too and we see how her daughter Ebony protects her while she's pregnant with her. I so hope there is a book with Ebony in it! So glad I was introduced to these books. Thank you for your amazing stories Everly!

Every loose end in this assassin-magic world was tied up in a way that felt earned and satisfying. I was very happy with the ending—especially because Striker and Peyton had to endure so much pain and heartbreak to get there. I loved seeing the assassins woven so deeply into the plot, and it was such a thrill to reunite with Hunter, Slade, Archer, Cain, Tansy, and the rest. The academy students also added depth and heart to the story. I'm sad to say goodbye to this world, but beyond excited to see what Everly Frost gives us next!

Read this series!!

What an amazing conclusion to Peyton and Striker's story. I love the Assassins world that Everly Frost has built and the fact we get to see some of our favorite (and not so favorite) characters again. The overlapping stories from each of her characters shape a real and distinct world that takes the reader on one hell of a ride. Read this series and her Assassins series. You wont regret it!! I just hope we see more stories from this world in the future!

I forced myself to finish this as I knew it was the final book and I was curious to know how it would end.
But I didn’t really enjoy it, it was a slog!

Some very cliched lines that I rolled my eyes at a few times, such as:

“We were all born into darkness. What matters is whether or not we choose to step into the light.”

I just found these difficult to swallow!!

I wouldn’t recommend this series. X

This one was my least favorite so far. I just don’t understand Peyton and Striker’s relationship, like maybe they don’t need to be together??? And on top of that, I don’t understand why they didn’t leave when they could. Like yeah, it’s explained but it just felt weird. There is so much back and forth without the students just taking charge (like giving into Hadrix multiple times rather than brainstorming a collective plan? Annoying).

Why did it have to end?

I have absolutely loved reading about all of these characters. Seeing Hunter and Slade in this book just made it all the better. All the books in this series and the others that connect to this one are really good. This author is a wiz at building different worlds!

so good!!! 👌♥️😭

This is just so good! Gut wrenching good. Heartbreaking good. I wana cry and scream good. 😭 Stryker and Peyton: A fury and a hellhound = 🔥💀🔥💀. The couple was EVERYTHING. The academy was crazy from the start and nobody had a chance. But with a fury and a hellhound... anything is possible.

I could not put this one down. I enjoyed the multiple point of views but wish there was more from Hunter Cassidy. The whole book was pretty stressful with Peyton and Striker’s lies and the misunderstanding with the assassins. I am super invested in all these characters and need them to get their happily ever afters.

Pay off was worth it

I struggled to get into this series because I love the characters from the first half of the series, so having them misunderstood for a large part of this was hard.

But the ending was worth it. This chunk of the series is all tied up in a neat little bow.

I am happy with the conclusion on the series with baby Ebony, the up coming twins and Tyler.

I loved that the academy with the help of Hunter the new Guardian as turned the school into something good.

I wondered what happened to the old guard though.

I am happy for Jesse and Kaitlyn.

I have enjoyed this world and all the characters Ms Frost has brought to life. Striker and Peyton’s story embodied the phrase “emotional damage” - but they preserved and grew, and now it feels like the end of an era with this book. Time to find a new world to discover :)
