Turmoil in the West Falls clowder has reached a boiling point.
Brier Fendon, the last unmated beta, is sweating bullets. His goddess has swept through their ranks, handing out mates willy-nilly. While he would be okay with a human as a mate now, thanks to the changes his Alpha has brought, he’d still prefer a werecat. And he sincerely hopes the goddess Bast has taken note of that, because he figures he’s next.
Careful what you wish for.
Reports of an unknown werecat in clowder territory spurs unease, and Brier is sent to investigate. Fortunately, the scent still remained, but there’s something disturbing about it. All werecats have a personal scent marker, all except for this one. What Brier’s smelling—or not smelling, as the case may be—is impossible.
Tyler Smith has suffered a lifetime of abuse from the paranormal community. His own species considers him an abomination. Hated and reviled since he isn’t a pure werecat, Tyler has learned the hard way not to trust anyone but his mate, Seth. But although he’s an outcast, Tyler is more special than anyone knows, and he has a choice to make.
Seth Galloway is the most feared paranormal to ever exist, thanks to his abilities. What he’s capable of is the stuff of nightmares, and if he has to kill to protect his mate, Tyler? So be it. He has before, and now Tyler’s goddess has set him and Tyler on a path that may end with even more death and destruction.
Fear of the unknown and a lifetime of pain are just some of the roadblocks Brier, Seth, and Tyler will face. Bast has waged a war to bring her children out of their isolationism and bigotry, and things have spun out of control. A threat hangs over them all and death looms on the horizon. A sacrifice will have to be made, and Tyler’s choice will dictate the future of werecats—and other shifter species as well.
M.A. Church is a true Southern belle who spent many years in the elementary education sector. Now she spends her days lost in fantasy worlds, arguing with hardheaded aliens on far-off planets, herding her numerous shifters, or trying to tempt her country boys away from their fishing poles. It’s a full time job, but hey, someone’s gotta do it!
When not writing, she’s on the back porch tending to the demanding wildlife around the pond in the backyard. The ducks are very outspoken. She’s married to her high school sweetheart, and they have two grown children.

This final installment in the series had a different feel to me from the rest of the series, though I still enjoyed it. Brier finds his mates in an already mated pair. Seth was a particularly interesting new addition to the many paranormals we've met so far. My only real complaint is that at the end I was left wanting to see more of the three cementing the relationship with Brier as an equal.
Looks like we'll be getting a spin-off for the wolf shifters and I'll be all in for that.
I was delighted to discover that when the author rereleased her ‘Fur, Fangs, and Felines’ series, she also released book five, ‘The One and Only’. It was a joy to return to a series that, in some ways, mimics the troubles going on in the world around us today – racism, misogyny, xenophobia, sexism, and more. Dolf has already begun to bring change to his clowder, moving them from the strict old ways to a more progressive bent, and this book moved everything into the light and on a fast track forward.
Tyler is a half-breed, or a hybrid as he should be called, the result of a werecat female and a human dad. He is also a very rare omega. Due to his unique genetics he had an abusive childhood and every paranormal, especially shifters, wants to kill him on sight for being an abomination and a freak.
I have waited so Long for this book and I was not disappointed it was such a good ending to a fantastic series and I love that ma church have included so many different paranormals and I love that brier Tyler and seth got their happy ending so hats off to ma church for a fantastic series
I’m hoping for more of Fenrir and Bast and his Dark Lake Pack. I’m hoping to know what was happening with the werewolf Fenrir stopped from attacking Tyler. It’s great to know that all the betas are mated.
I confess I haven't read all the books in the series but I knew enough to be fine. I read this because m/m/m, duh. :-) Basically a half-breed cat shifter has been on the run and homeless with his shadowwalker boyfriend for years. However Bast the cat goddess talk to him regularly and sends him to a particular town with lots of mystical nonsense about saving the species. Eventually they get discovered by Brier, one of the betas who realizes they are all mates. They don't really get together until quite a bit later as Brier needs permission and some of the clouder has been getting pissed with the new alpha for letting in all kinds of creatures and not being pure and even letting women work. *gasp* The reason why Tyler and Seth become clear and they all get to meet the Goddess who spends her free time watching Star Wars movies with the wolf god.
The ending kind of surprised me (not the Star Wars thing but otherwise) but on the whole, it was okay. Didn't love it, maybe because it took them so long to finally get to being a throuple. Still, it was worth a read to me.
2.8 stars - From all the build up I expected a more spectacular climax. It was rather simple. And we didn't get to see them settling down, interacting with other clowder members or anything that could be considered an epilogue. I liked getting to see another paranormal. The throuple was nice, but i didn't feel their bond, not even the sexual attraction. And of course, as I've written every time, the basic writing and slight inconsistencies were not that great.
A wrap up to the series. Another triple mate bond. Another existential crisis for our intrepid leader. “Oh, no, should I allow a mate bond and honor our goddess, or follow years of bigotry and small minded ways?” It takes the entire book and an assassination attempt to answer

Not sure how I missed this last year, I enjoy this series. This one introduced me to a new paranormal, I wondered what he was. Cool and scary at the same time. Good addition to the series, hoping for more!
Great book, loved this book all these cats ,wolfs, paranormals have all found there way in the new world I can’t wait to read more about the wolves next , great series by this author
This was an Excellent addition to the Fur Fangs and Felines series. I really liked the shadow walker and am looking forward to finding out what Fenrir has in store for his wolves.
This series was an excellent read that is going into my read it again pile. I enjoyed the writing and characters. Spicy and sweet. No cheating and HEA all around.
I wish that Brier would have more time with his mates. I felt like he didn’t get to know the too, well to me. I loved Seth I wanted to know so much more about him and what he is. Tyler was sweet and was just dealt a bad hand in life. Nice ending to a great series.
To my ratings: A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year), it's like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
I love most everything about this last book in the series, especially how they tied in the goddesses overall plan. I loved how he built up the relationship between Seth and Taylor, and that even with all they had gone through they were still willing to trust.
The only thing I had an issue with, and the reason it only got 4 stars is that I felt the end was a bit rushed. One of the reasons I love this author so much is because she has a lovable balance between story and steam, however in this book you don't really get that. You don't got anything other then heavy petting for 90% of the book and then when you finally do she only writes about half of the mating, something that she hadn't skipped over in the first 4 books. Just couldn't say that I enjoyed that deviation seeing that alot of that love you saw between past characters blossoms during those moments. I guess it's just felt like she was subtracting from the actual love story in favor of being able to tie everything together, and to be it came across'd as a rushed ending.
As the last single Beta, Brier hoped for a simple, easy mating. What he got was a hybrid named Tyler, a shadow walker named Seth, and lots of work. Between some of the elders acting shady, learning his mates, worried about whether or not Dolf would accept them, Brier has his work cut out for him. Tyler is a rare (I like that term better than what some may call him) breed, the off spring of a were cat and a human that survived. He has been hated and hunted for as long as he can remember just for who he is. With his mate, Seth at his side, he faces everything but is shocked when suddenly he has a werecat for another mate. Seth is what all other paranormals fear: one that can disappear into the shadows to the shadow world and can make the shadows do what he wants. As these three work together, outside forces are not willing to accept the changes Dolf are making. Add in a goddess or god and that's when things get interesting.
This is the city book in the Fur, Fangs, and Felines series
This was a decent read although I started this series on the city book in which I plan too read the others from the beginning . I found that I really liked this paring I mean it didn't get as deep as I would have liked it but we did get a idea of what the mate's had to endure before everything came together for them . I always like when the God's intervene in their children's lives directly be it good or bad it's always interesting to get their point of view . I think that will definitely follow this series looking forward to the next book .
Rating: 4 stars I really liked this book. It had been awhile since I had read the last one in the series and still when I picked it up, I was immediately familiar with the world and the characters. Loved all three of the MCs. Seth and Tyler had a preexisting relationship prior to the start of the story and discovered Brier was their mate during the story. By the end, I just wasn’t sure that Brier meshed with them 100%. Especially when it came to Seth and his abilities. Still, the book was good and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This was a good, but not great ending to the series. The 4 previous books were amazing, but for some reason I just couldn't connect with these main characters like I could the previous ones, and it just seemed a little rushed toward the end to me. But I still enjoyed it. I'm seriously hoping that the Dark Lake pack gets their own series now.
I loved this story the most it held danger , mystery Gods and Goddesses and so much more . Now on to the Dark lake series ( pretty please ) . Now we just need Fenrir's series to make it complete. Love your books keep writing them and I'll keep reading them .
I love when mythology is proven true. In this case that the Goddess Bast really exists. I liked Tyler, Seth, and Brier and how they came together. This was an easy read and a good ending to the series.
I cant even with this one. By far the best of an absolutely fantastic series. Just read it. That all I can say. Read the whole series and end this amazing freaking book.
I was not sure if I really wanted to read the next book in this series. But it was a good addition to the series. So lets see where the next book takes us. Lovved that to people found a new home.
