He lost everything, his life was shattered, and ever since, Banner has kept his heart closed. One betrayal of trust is enough.
Four years later, a man steps into his life. Sweet, vibrant, and handsome, he ticks all the right boxes. He’s the one who Banner’s willing to open his heart for.
From the moment Jasper sees the tall, long-haired, gorgeous man, he knows Banner is the man for him. And he is prepared to wait for Banner to lower his defenses and let him in.
Just when they think they find their happily ever after, Banner’s ex-boyfriend comes back. The one who ruined him. But he doesn’t want forgiveness; he just wants to set things straight.
Typically, nothing goes the way it should.
Banner is book three in the Redemption series and follows on immediately from the first two books. While it can be read as a standalone, it’s best enjoyed reading the books in order. It contains some steamy man-on-man loving and is advised for 18+.
Hiding behind a quiet unassuming facade J J reads and writes hot sexy stories. Stories of men loving men as well as women loving men. What would the neighbors think!!
As long as the men are hot alpha's and the women are strong in their own right then they have a place in J J's books.
JJ also has a kinkier side and writes under the name of AG Silver. So, make sure you look out for those books too.
Banner has been through a lot (hugs him tight) and Jasper is there to love him and help him heal. Their story was sweet and touching and I really appreciated how the situation with Banner’s ex boyfriend was handled. It was very well done. I would actually like to learn more about his ex and his story. Very interesting and complex characters and beautiful writing. I haven’t read the other books in the series but I’m definitely intrigued.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I've been looking forward to Banner's book since I started this series and while I enjoyed it, I think I wanted to like it more than I did.
I still love Banner and I enjoyed watching him begin his life with Jasper. They were so well matched right from the start. I liked that they connected and there wasn't any games, they just said it how it was and enjoyed each others company.
I liked Jasper too, but because the book focused on Banner's past and current problems, I just don't feel like I really know a lot about him. He's a photographer, has a good assistant and he loves Banner. That's it. What about his friends?
I liked that Banner got closure with the whole Dominic thing, I think it was convenient that he was in the position he was in, making it easier to be able to attempt to see Banner. I understood why the guys did what they did, but it also meant that he was forgiven pretty easily and didn't really have to do any penance.
Interested to read Theo's book as I wasn't really a fan of his in the previous books.

This was more than expected. I typically don’t like reading books where the MC has sex with someone else, even when it’s not cheating, but this was such a great redemption story. I’m not sure I would have felt the same about the relationship I’d it didn’t dive into that part. I did really enjoy this book!
Weird, and I mean very weird writing style. Banner seemed to fall for in love very easily each time and the fact that the story with his ex took so long, made it difficult for me to connect with the other MC.
Banner is the best book in this series. Banner was deeply hurt from a previous relationship and it left him unable to trust someone or want to be in another deep connection with anyone else. Jasper is just what Banner needs. He made him realize that being in love is still possible. This book is so emotional and intense. It's about heartache, forgiveness, and the characters in so believable. The great friendship and love that they have for each other makes this book so special. J.J. Harper did an outstanding job with this one.
This was one hell of a rollercoaster ride for Banner and I loved every minute of it. I don't want to give any spoilers so I'll just say that this was so very different from what I expected. Banner has so many great people in his life, including someone unexpected whose happy ending I find myself rooting for. I'm looking forward to seeing what book four has in store, at least I'm hoping for a book four 🤞.

Banner is the 3rd book in Mrs Harper's Redemption series, which can be read as a standalone but best if read after Wolff and Gage. Banner's story is one that some may be able to relate to. He was left in a position where he didn't trust easily. Jasper was perfect for Banner. He taught him how to love and trust again. I loved how the author ended the story. She could have left Banner feeling bitter, but this is a Redemption series after all!!!
A beautiful, emotional story. Banner has issues from his past, he finds it hard to trust. Then he meets sweet, beautiful Jasper and Banner finds himself opening up. The attraction is immediate and their chemistry is palpable. And then the past comes rushing back, with surprising and somewhat tragic events. The ending was beautiful. An immensely enjoyable read. It was great to catch up with Gage, Wolffe and Josh too.
What a GREAT story of love and forgiveness. Banner has been trying to find his way back from betrayal and heartbreak. He will find love in the arms of Jasper. With the support of his lover, Gage, Wolff and Josh he will find his way to forgiveness. This is a beautiful story of life when you find the one person you can trust and love. I highly recommend The Redemption Series. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AMAZING BOOK AND SERIES!!!!!
I was immediately drawn into Banner's story. When he meets Jasper they seem perfect for each other. Banner's ex, Domonic had done a real number on him and left him pretty close to broken. Despite his trust issues, Banner want to take a chance on Jasper. This was a beautiful story of friends, hope, love and forgiveness.
I loved this book, asofuckinglutely loved it! When I first met Banner, I just knew he would be my FAVO in the series and I was right... Such a roller coaster of emotions and I couldn't put it down until it was finished. I highly recommend it!
Banner, book three in the Redemption series. Wow, I did not see that coming. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect when I first started to read Banner. Banner, is heartwarming and heartbreaking all in once. Hot AF!! I adore the chemistry between the main characters.
This series has been amazing and heartfelt. It’s all about redeeming yourself from something dumb and being better, moving into the future instead of the past. What Dom did to Banner was horrible and really unforgivable, but Banner never pressed charges. He had to move forward from the literal wreckage. Meeting Jasper has been the best thing to happen to him other than meeting his best friend Gage. Jasper and Banner are perfect for each other, love at first site type stuff. This book was pretty deep. Dom does come back into their lives, but not the way Banner ever expected. I was left wondering if he ever did pay him back with interest. I like to think he did. Part of that left a little left unresolved to me but the story of Jasper and Banner is sweet and good.
This book interweaves the perspectives of three different narrators: Banner, our protagonist, and Jasper and Dominic, both Banner’s romantic partners at different times in his life. Dominic is the villain of the piece initially, but his redemption arc overlaps with Banner and Jasper’s romance. I found Dominic’s storyline to be the most interesting one-- while I liked Jasper and Banner together, their relationship was pretty much instalove with a lot of steam, and there isn’t really room in the story for Jasper to be anything but the perfect partner Dominic wasn’t. Banner himself is a likable character, and I hated all the bad things life has thrown at him. It’s nice to see him get his HEA, and here’s hoping for the very best for Dominic as well.
*I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
JJ Harper has done it again! I am loving this series and Banner's book is nothing short of perfection!!! Wow!!! Jasper and Banner are everything ❤️🔥❤️ This book was incredibly touching and sweet... the spice factor was off the charts as well 🔥🔥🔥 I was so happy to see Banner get his HEA with his perfect man. Side note: I wanted to hate Dom in every way possible but the twist toward the end of the book was written so perfect that I couldn't help but fall in love with him and the way his redemption unfolded a little too 😉 I highly recommend this book as well as the others in this series!!! It's 5 perfect Stars 🌟 from me.

The book I read had the title as A Safe Heart. Obviously the author has changed the title. This is the third book in the series. It could be a stand alone but it’s so much better if you read the two previous books. This book is about Banner and Jasper. Banner has come a long way since his disastrous relationship with Dominic ended in spectacular fashion. Jasper is the first man Banner has let into his life for more than a hook up in four years. As the two men begin to build a relationship Dominic appears. This time he is not here to cause more trouble.
I received this book from GRR. This is my honest review.
My experience with multiple books in a series is that they either get better or are ho-hum. This one fell into the middle range. I liked both characters. Their relationship was sort of insta-love.
The writing was good. Most of the background was covered in the other books so this one was mainly developing their relationship deeper.
There was an unexpected development that added to the depth of the story and made it better in my opinion.
This is the third book I have read in this series and I have to say that I am in love with these men! Even though they have had awful things happen they are upbeat, positive and supportive of their partners and family. Banner grew up in an abusive home and instead of being bitter he grew up to be a therapist to support kids in similar situations. And after Dominic devastated him on every level he was not only brave enough to find love again he, and his new love Jasper, were there to help him recover.
Book 3 in the Redemption Series and this is Banner's story. It's impressive that JJ Harper has managed to keep these stories short but detailed. What Domenic did to Banner was so well written and it made me sad but then years later when he meets Jasper you can see that they are going to be together and seeing how they run into Domenic and hearing his story is also sad but the way they show strength is just the sort of story I like to read. This series has gotten better with each book.
In this 3rd book in the series we get a little more of Wolff and Gage plus much much more of Banner, Gage’s best buddy. Banner has a painful past, abused as a child and destroyed by his, ex he has baggage and issues with trust. Jasper is just what he needs! The couple of perfect together but then the ex, Dominic, returns! I was all set to hate him with bells on but actually things happen to alter that! Read the books in order and read them all!
This was so good. I Am enjoying this series. As book three in the series this was a wonderful addition. We see lots of great characters in this series and Jasper and Banner are perfect together. This has some ups and downs but lots of sweet moments too. Can’t wait for more.
Banner has been through so so much. Jasper is there for him and loves his through it all. He helps him heal and become whole again. They had such and amazing connection and I loved to see this beautiful story about healing. This is truly an amazing series and I’m definitely looking forward to reading the next one!
Wow, wow, wow. What a book! I never expected any of this happening & OMG... I was shocked. Then finally everything was going good, then "bam" & I get angry then sad & cry, oh the feels. At least it was happy tears & Banner got the HEA he so deserves.
I had to read this one after the first two. It felt shorter to me. I think Banner and Gage are both way too forgiving. I would have liked to get to know Jasper a bit more. And I'm curious about what happens to Dominic
I read a re-release of this book! This is book three in this heartfelt emotional series. Each book in this series gets better! I'm a huge fan of JJ Haper and I LOVED Banner's story! I read an advanced copy of this book and this is my unbiased review!
A surprising ending, Banner and Jasper are perfect! I loved them together, Banner’s ex definitely had some red flags in the beginning but the ending slightly redeemed him. I hope he finds his HEA
Yaay! Now we get Banner's story who had me intrigued since Home to You (1st book of the series). He was always a great friend to Gage then to Wolff but there was always a sadness about him. Then he meets Jasper and the sparks fly. It is instalove but does not feel rushed. Banner knows he has to overcome his painful past in order to give Jasper a fair chance. A chance he is finally willing to give, open up his heart to love once again. Jasper is all about making it work with Banner, and will patiently provide all the love and support Banner needs. Especially when the evil of his ex shows up and life takes an unexpected turn. (Not gonna give any spoilers but definitely a twist I was not expecting). Banner is able to let go of the past, heal, and learn to trust again. Jasper was just the spark he needed. I'm glad he found his HEA after life had crushed his soul. That Jasper was able to fill his soul with happiness and love once again.
