How NOT to fall in love with your boss:

Don’t fall into bed with him in a night of passion.
Don’t agree to pretend to be his wife.
Don’t wind up pregnant with his secret love child.

Guess what I did?

Every single one of these things.

Billionaire playboy, Duke Nolan slid a big sparkly diamond on my finger to help him claim a seat on the board of the Science Museum. But I have an agenda all my own.

To have and to hold... I’m aching for more than our sweaty, one-night fling.

He’s playing pretend. I’m playing for keeps.

I received this ebook ARC from the author on the condition that I write an honest review.
I enjoyed this book so much, it had immediate attraction, lust, love, friendship, and a little suspense. The main male character is Duke, a lonely rich CEO of a drug company, and hard working. The main female character is Rose, a worker at Duke’s company, lonely feisty and very independent. They meet when she spills coffee on his shirt, and he begins to pursue her. They have several episodes of sexual encounters and he asks her to pretend to marry him to obtain an important position. Families are met and the lies just keep piling up. A surprise pregnancy occurs and the situation gets more complicated, with an ex adding to the situation. Eventually they realize how much they are in love with each other, and they finally obtain their HEA. I’ve read several books written by Ms Hart, and I truly enjoy her books, and as always I recommend them to anyone who will listen to me.

This book made me mad. Rose and Duke experienced a random meeting one day, found out they worked together, then ended up sleeping together shortly after. They had sex twice in the whole book. Then she found out she was pregnant and they faked their relationship. She lived with him and Duke even tried promoting her to go back to her cheating ex boyfriend. This book is 39 chapters and the first 5 were focused on them while the next 30 were them ignoring each other, Duke being an asshole, and Rose hanging out with Will (the ex). After a physical altercation with Will, Rose and Duke became close again and mended their relationship. Then the last few chapters were short and lacked detail. I get the whole "playing hard to get " thing... but 30 chapters of it?!

Just Say “I Love You”

When Rose Johnson discovers that her college boyfriend, Will, has cheated on her for years while she had done everything for him to make his life easy—washing clothes, entertaining his friends, using her money to pay for his wants—she feels like a fool. How could she have been so blind and misjudged their relationship so badly? So, graduation allows her to leave the past behind. Maybe now she can reconnect with herself and what she wants, but can she trust her judgement in any relationship when she so wrong about Will’s feelings for her?

So, graduation and starting a job back home in Chicago is a relief. And, she is lucky enough to be hired in the sales department of a pharmaceutical clinical lab run by Dr. Duke Nolan, who is known for his absolute focused attention to his lab—even to the point of exhaustion. For Rose, this job is perfect; the lab is about to release a newly discovered drug that will be a game changer. What pleases both Rose and her dad, Barry Johnson, chairman of the board for the Chicago Museum of Science is that it connects Rose to her father’s world of science, a field that is not Rose’s passion, but as a member of a sales team, she can flourish in a science-based company. Unfortunately, on her first day at work, on the day she is to be introduced to Dr. Nolan, she bumps into a man on the sidewalk outside of the company’s office building, causing him to spill a full cup of coffee all over his white shirt and tailored suit. And he is angry and aggressive in his demands for an apology, which Rose grudgingly offers—it was an accident, not intentional. But most shocking of all is Rose’s unexplained attraction to this older man. When she is introduced to the same man later that morning as the great and wonderful Duke Nolan, Rose and her boss begin a continued series of accidents and misunderstandings that both draw them together and push them apart, especially when a baby and the reappearance of the ex-boyfriend get thrown into the mix.

Author, Suzanne Hart has woven a complicated romance built on a foundation of misunderstandings, fragile egos and inexperience in relating to others in a healthy manner. Possessing a vision of a complex plot, Hart sets up many threads that the reader needs to hold tightly in order to successfully follow the plot and the author's message. But the treads are not as tightly and convincingly woven as the reader would wish. More than anything, the reader is confronted Rose’s lack of confidence and unwillingness to commit out of fear of repeating her past—loving someone who does not love her back. So, when the ex reappears, after knowing his smarminess, Rose’s consideration of his pitch of wanting a do-over is both disappointing and unbelievable, especially when she is pregnant with another man’s child. This is a novel, that while having good bones, needs another revision or clever editor to achieve its full potential.

Hot Arrangement by Suzanne Hart was honestly a bit of a hot mess. Rose is 22 years old and an employee at a science lab, which Duke owns. Duke is 40 and he's never wanted to settle down with anyone. When Rose and Duke first meet, neither knows that they work together, but they have an instant attraction. When their coworkers go out for drinks one evening, they end up having s*x. Rose is beginning to feel as though she really is attracted to Duke and might be catching feelings, and Duke can't stop thinking about Rose. They end up seeing each other at his place and hit it off, but their night is cut short by Duke's sister Diane, who instantly distrusts Rose. Rose then discovers she's pregnant a few weeks later and tells Duke. Rose's father interrupts them, and Duke realizes the man who is on the board at a science museum he loves is her father. Duke has been trying to get a spot on that board. He comes up with the idea to have a fake marriage to keep up appearances and so that they can both be in the baby's life and he can win Rose's father's favor to get the position on the board. Both Rose and Duke start to have real feelings for each other, but their insecurities might push them away. The blurb of the book is quite vague, and the actual fake marriage part didn't begin until about 40% of the way in. I liked the beginning, and the insta-lust they had towards each other. They both seemed like great characters and I thought Diane might be the antagonist. But then they had their fake relationship and Duke ended up being extremely wishy-washy and an a**hole. And Rose had problems with her ex, but then was actually debating being with him, even though he was a serial cheater. Neither Rose nor Duke were very likable after about the halfway point. And the lack of real communication between them was so problematic, especially after they were great at communicating in the beginning. The time jumps in the book were a bit odd, and the story felt rushed but also like it was lacking. I was hooked on seeing if their relationship would make it, however.

Hot Arrangement by Suzanne Hart

Rose Johnson was rushing to get to work when she literally bumps into a man. He grabs her arm as she passes angry at the encounter they exchange words. There definitely is a chemistry between them as they touched. As she walks away she finally realizes why he looks familiar he's her big boss. He is Dr. Duke Nolan the founder of Nolan Pharma. She has been working as part of the sales team at his clinical-drug company for almost a year and only saw his picture before today. She is mortified but doesn't think she'll ever see him again. Shortly after she arrives at work she is informed that she will be part of a team meeting with Dr. Nolan in the conference room.
They ended up hooking up during a heated night out at a bar which lead to another night. Then his sister Diane makes an entrance and everything changes. Now with that being said lets get to the nitty gritty.

Woah talk about frustrating! Seriously, I didn't know which one I wanted to shake more. Duke for his coldhearted behavior when he found out about the baby. Only to offer Rose a temporary fake marriage so he can gain a position on the board of the Science Museum. Rose for agreeing to go along with his plan and no backbone to say no that's not good enough. I wanted her to walk out of the door SO MANY TIMES! She also made questionable decisions about her ex-boyfriend. What happened to her common sense? Thank goodness she finally had enough and actually does leave. Will that be the end or will distance make the heart grow fonder? I loved Rose's family and friends and eventually even Diane oh and Duke.

Even though I was frustrated with these characters at times the storyline flowed, had twist, turns, drama, friendships,a little danger and romance.

Five 💍💍💍💍💍

Fantastic story.
This story was like a whirlwind of emotions & I couldn't get enough of this story desperate to know what's next. I loved how Rose & Duke met I thought it was so sweet but then the way he behaved when he found out she was pregnant then who her dad was I hated him. When Diana was mean when she first met Rose I thought he'd stick up for Rose but then as it went on it was Diana who she became friends with & Diana hated him for how cold & insensitive the way he was being with Rose but he just saw her as the mother of his child. God I hated him especially when he got the museum job he told her he didn't need her anymore their fake marriage had served its purpose which hurt Rose as she lived him but he didn't feel the same. She had moved out of his house swapped her job at work so they wouldn't so they never saw each other then her cheating ex kept trying to worm his way back into her life. It was only when Monica her friend from work & room mate called Duke to say her ex had been pestering her that he went to her house just in time to save her, she was 5mths pregnant now & it was the first time he'd seen her in months & he finally admitted to her that he loved her hoping she felt the same. She wasn't sure if she was dreaming until Monica & Diana came through the door interrupting them making up, when they left she agreed to move back in with them & become a proper family then he flew her to Ireland where he'd loved spending time before he'd met her & wanted to show her how peaceful their life would be. This story had me hating him, feeling sorry for him then hating him again & only started to love him towards the end when he finally made Rose happy.

Another book that I Absolutely love from this author.

Rose and Duke met on the busy streets of Chicago while going to work she bangs into him and spills his coffee down the front his shirt.Duke was expecting a apology but she didn’t give instead somebody bumped into her and she ended up in his arms and they looked into each eyes and the feelings were mutual that they where attracted to each other.
When she walks off she realises that he was her boss.Duke is a much older man 40 yrs and Rose 22 yrs old.
When duke goes to his meeting he was shocked to find out that rose works for him and was on the project team.
The team goes to the bar round the corner and duke turns up and they end up hooking up in the ladies toilets and a few weeks later she pregnant.

Rose tell duke and he was not happy at first then he comes up with a plan that they pretend that they are married and that she should move in with him and she does but his sister Diana is not happy and thinks that she is after his money.Duke is also shocked when he finds out who rose’s father who is the chairman of the science Museum which he is trying to get on.

The chemistry between them is great but duke says stupid things at times and loose his temper at times so roses moves out and goes to live with Monica for awhile.rose’s ex boyfriend turns up and says that he wants her back and that he still loves her when he cheated on her though there whole relationship and now says that he has changed just for her.

The book is well written and all the characters are great though out the book and there were a few spelling mistakes but overall enjoyable and entertaining read.

From the depths of a pint of dark Guinness in Ireland to the hot spilled coffee this story moves across the miles at speed as the burnt out Scientist has to get back in the game to pick up where he left off before his much needed holiday. But on his first day back the Doctor knocks into another commuter hot coffee covers the Doc's white shirt whilst he can't stop thinking about her. Luck would have it she recognises him but luck is not on her side as he is her boss that hasn't met her, yet!

A same day meeting, a same week cheeky unprotected session in a pub toilet (keeping it classy!), a misery of a prodigal sister (his), the return of her cheating ex-boyfriend and a positive pregnancy test seven weeks later keep you turning page after page.

Can the unexpected pregnancy be spun positively for either of them; maybe getting him on the Board of Directors but they'll have to survive living together, random acts of sex ad all the trials and tribulations of pregnancy first all whilst pretending to be married to each other.

It's a mixed cast of characters from the beautiful mains to the supporting few including the bulldog PA, the creepy Team Leader, the loving best friend and of course the lying cheating ex-boyfriend. They are play their parts well and flesh out the story perfectly.

I loved this book but you should read it and make up your own mind

I really enjoyed reading this story about two people that have an accidental meeting that leads to an unusual relationship. There’s the forty year old dedicated scientist/doctor, Duke, and a twenty-two year old college graduate, Rose, who is just starting a new job. Little does Rose know that the gentleman that she bumped into causing him to spill hot coffee on his shirt is her new boss. She makes that discovery at her first meeting at work. They have heated words, but also chemistry that neither of them can deny. They’re both attracted to one another like metal to a magnet. This attraction leads them to act without thinking. Then there are consequences and lies. They make a deal which will hopefully satisfy Rose’s parents and also solidify Duke’s place on the board of the Science Museum. Of course an ex-boyfriend wants to reclaim Rose, and she’s not sure what to think or do. Duke is jealous. Did I mention that Duke and Rose are both stubborn? They are not your typical couple. You’ll have to read this entertaining book to find out what Rose and Duke decide to do and if the ex-boyfriend continues to be the “ex!”

Hot Arrangement is an powerful story that as you start reading will take in for the moment the coffee is spill and enfold you in to the journey of Duke and Rose.

Doctor Duke immerses himself into his work so much that most days he loose track of time and never takes a vacation. Rose, is recently out of college and is working in Sales with his company. An accidentally bump on the street lead to a coffee stained shirt and sparks filled conversation. Not realizing their connection until later that day in a meeting. Duke is her Boss. From the meeting on the street their passion and chemistry for each other is intense and overwhelming. Duke has never been in a relationship and Rose's last relationship was with someone who cheated on her from the start. The struggles the struggles go through as their relationship develop is hard. Both of the have to learn to trust, love and talk.

Hot Arrangement is heart wrenching as the character are bot strong and independent, but are so stubborn to admit their true feeling once they realize them. The chemistry and passion is hot, the interactions are hot and cold. This book brings you into their world at the edge of the seat page after page.

Worth reading. 3.5 stars. This book didn't always sit well with me, even though the storyline started really well. I liked the idea of reading about two people, Rose and Duke, with an 18 years age difference between them and the way they met was novel with some witty dialogue. Their magnetic physical attraction is very steamy, almost explosive, and undeniable. What I didn’t like is Duke’s character. He may be a 40-year-old rich, gifted, and accomplished scientist but his perpetual-bachelor, selfish, stubborn, self-serving pig-headed attitude annoyed the living daylights out of me. Rose’s insecurity and overly gentle nature is too much at times but can be explained by her youth and inexperience, not to mention her unplanned pregnancy. Duke has no excuse. Their mutual assumptions, presumptions are baffling from two, otherwise, intelligent people, how their miscommunication or lack thereof is leading to a lot of hurt for them both. I think their toing and froing goes on for a bit too long but finally, their 11th-hour honesty helps achieve a long-awaited HEA. There are tension points that keep the interest alive and the book is very well edited.

I loved this book! A wonderful tale of two very stubborn people who find true love in each other. Duke and Rose meet when she spills coffee on his shirt on a busy Chicago sidewalk. Once at work, she realizes why he seemed so familiar, he's her boss. Chosen to work on a new project for a promising new medication, she meets Duke again in the boardroom and the chemistry is off the charts between them. Soon, they find themselves in each other's arms and they just can't seem to stay away from each other. Things get a little tricky when she finds out she's pregnant. He moves her in to his penthouse with a plan to fake a marriage until after the baby is born. The more time they spend together, the more they want the relationship to be real but both are too stubborn to admit their feelings. This leads to a rollercoaster ride of emotions for both of them until Duke comes to his senses and actually tells Rose how he feels. Delighted to find out he feels the same, the two begin their journey to their happy ending, coming clean to those they love in the process.

This book was fabulous! I couldn't put the book down for a second! Dr Duke Nolan and Rose Johnson were great characters. Rose met Duke when she was walking on the sidewalk in Chicago and accidentally bumped into him with steaming hot coffee. Instead of getting angry, Duke found himself flirting with Rose. Rose was on her way to work at Nolan Pharma when she suddenly realized just who she'd run into. Her boss and the founder of the company, Dr Duke Nolan. She had never been formally introduced to Duke, barely even seen him. But when her manager told her that she was recommended for a new project working with THE Dr Nolan himself, she became afraid he may fire her about the coffee incident. There was a meeting with everyone on the project and Duke recognized the beautiful woman from the street that morning. He became smitten with her. Everybody on the sales team was meeting at a bar to celebrate. After a few drinks Rose makes an excuse to go to the restroom giving Duke the eyes to meet her. They have mind-blowing sex in the restroom of the bar! WOW! This was just the beginning of this amazing read! I highly recommend!

Dr. Duke Nolan was the founder of a clinical drug company that was working on a breakthrough drug. He was overworked and was forced to take a break in Ireland. Rose was a new hire in the sales dept of the company and literally ran into Duke heading into work after his return to Chicago. They had a minor confrontation at the time and she later realized he was ultimately her boss. They were attracted to each other and ended up having unprotected sex one time. The story continues with Rose pregnant and them pretending to be married and living together. Their families get involved, Rose’s former boyfriend returns wanting to get back together with her, and Rose decides to leave Duke. Will Duke and Rose be able to work out their problems and become a family?

The story was enjoyable but parts were hard to believe, but that’s why it is nonfiction. The characters were well written and the author told a good story.

Allowing vulnerability gets you what you really want
Hot Arrangement: Hot Billionaire Daddies Book 3 by Suzanne Hart is a fun read with engaging characters. While Rose and Duke are opposites economically and by age, they really are more alike in that they are stubborn, make assumptions, attempt to communicate with vagueness and refuse to allow themselves to be vulnerable in any way with one another. What I found truly intriguing in this book is Duke's sister. She's a firecracker and kept me guessing throughout.
The plot for Duke and Rose is the journey they take to finding themselves in relation to one another and they take a really roundabout way of getting there! Fear of being vulnerable, getting hurt and unwanted keeps them from pursuing what they both want. As their story unfolds, it becomes apparent they are ultimately their own obstacles to happiness.
Overall a good read with characters that charm as easily as they frustrate, but in the end take a chance and finally find their HEA.

Duke and Rose meet one morning when she is on her way to work. The attraction is instant, but Duke is not happy with her! It’s only as she arrives at work that she realises who he was - it’s the owner of the company she works for and she has just been told she is going into a meeting which he is chairing!

Despite them both trying to stay away from each other, it doesn’t happen and weeks later Rose finds out he has left her with a little gift. When she approaches Duke, despite not being happy, he talks her into a fake relationship, because he wants something she can help him get.

The tension between the two is awful, and Rose finally makes a decision and walks away, but neither are happy. Will they come to their senses or is it too late!

This is a great read, with twists, turns and complications throughout.

OMG, I fell in love with this book. Rose had a lot of growing up to do. Trying to put her life back together after finding out he Ex cheated on her with anything with a skirt on. Duke was blindsided by the instant attraction he felt from that first run in when he didnt know who Rose was. Yep this book took off with a vengeance and the ride was worth it. You have a crazy Ex, a nosey sister, friends to die for, family and the creepy supervisor. What started out as make believe soon evolve into real life. With Duke acting crazy and possessive but willing to put everyone in their place. I recommend this book if your looking for drama, a little stalkerish, a delightful surprise and humor that has no boundaries.

This has got to be my favorite story of the series so far. It had all the other elements that I enjoyed in the first two books but this one had a little more. For one, I found the meeting of the main characters in this one far more amusing than when I read about the other two couples. My jaw dropped probably at the same time when the realization that it was Duke Nolan she bumped into. One of the selling point for me also was the reference to Ireland. It gave such a huge contrast not just to the places but also the behaviors and feelings the characters explored. I think they truly became a couple and themselves once they got to Ireland.

** MILD SPOILER** This book started out enjoyable and I liked how Duke and Rose reconnected at the end. However, once Duke's sister came onto the scene I felt like the book struggled to keep my interest. Although Diane does redeem herself towards the end and became a likable , I thought at 40 Duke should have been able to talk to his sister about the way she acted towards Rose. He tried to come across as an alpha and in his mind he acted like one, but he really wasn't. It made both Duke and Diane come across as extremely immature for their ages. I have read the other 2 books in this series, as well as other books by Suzanne, but this one just felt forced.

Susan Hart is one of my favorite authors, she pulls you into the story from the 1st page!!
Rose and Duke met over spilt coffee, literally. He has never been in a longterm relationship, and she had her heart broken by her cheating ex. But these are the least if the hurdles for them...they find out shortly after coffee incident, that he is the CEO of the company she has been working at for a year. He can't stop thinking of her, a 1st for him, and she can't stop thinking of him, but he's her boss. Can these two find their HEA? When reading the story you feel what the characters feels, like your there with them, I love that. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did!!

Rose literally bumps into her boss Duke Nolan by spilling his coffee on him.
She is in sales and is chosen to help with the new project so she meets Duke officially.
He cannot get her off his mind.
But he is her boss so he cannot cross that line...... can he?
They have a hot hook up.
Her manager Jim is jealous, his sister Diane is nasty and her ex wants her back.
Rose discovers she is pregnant, so they hatch a plan for a fake marriage.
What could go wrong?
This book has great characters and a wonderful story line.
Can they survive what life throws at them?
Will they get their hea together?
Highly recommend you read this book.

A Beautiful Mistake

What a great story to read! These two characters are more stubborn than mules though! How I wanted to reach into the pages & yell at them with their friends about the love they have for each other & not to waste so much time for what was meant to be! I've been drawn into stories but not so far as to feel as this could very well be happening in real life & I was getting more involved into their drama than I thought I'd be. Sure surprised me on this one!

With such a big age gap between them, I didn't think they would see a HEA. Having a 3rd person wrapped around his finger, heart & mind is the clincher! Loved this novel & would recommend picking up it up & read it!

Rose was fresh out of college and working on a sales team, had a small apartment and loving life. That is until one day she bumped someone and coffee got on his white shirt. Duke wasn't letting her get away with it and grabbed her arm. From that day forward her life changed so much in a blink of an eye. When going for a meeting she never thought she would see Duke again and who he has exactly. From that day forward it was an emotional roller coaster ride, with lots of regrets and an outspoken truth. Until finally one day it all changed and started living out her HEA,

I bit slowly, and some elements didn't make sense, but over-all, I liked this story. Rose and Duke have a one-night-stand in a bar bathroom... during a department celebration! OMG! The pretend marriage was believable, but the firing of Rose's immediate supervisor had me expecting him to do something to get even for the rest of the book. The time spent in Ireland was a bit too vague, but I liked the idea of them having that home-away-from-home to escape to. I think a short mention of Will in the epilogue might have given that particular storyline more closure. Overall, I liked it.
