Too Intense

Hailey I’ve spent my life moving from one base to another with my parents. My father is military and every time it seemed like I would finally make friends, we were off to another. So I stopped. I coasted through the rest of high school and was determined to stay put for four years of college. I didn’t anticipate meeting Conner. I didn’t anticipate falling in love with him without even knowing him. All the other girls say he’s too intense. That’s okay, because to me, he’s perfect. The only problem is, he’s a senior and I’m a freshman, and he’s a football player. Do I risk everything for him or do I continue to hide in the library as the world goes on around me? Do I really have a choice once Conner claims me as his? My heart’s his, let’s just hope he wants to keep it. Conner Too intense. Hell, I know that’s what all the girls say about me. Well, that and that I’m a playboy because I date a lot of girls. It doesn’t make me a jerk and I don’t sleep with all of them. I’m focused on football, going pro, and finding the one. I know she’s out there just waiting for me to find her. The second I lay eyes on Hailey I know she’s mine. She’s skittish, has a bit of a stalker, and I know I need to control myself but I can’t. She’s my woman and I’m going to claim her. I’ll do whatever I have to in order to make her mine entirely, even put a baby in her so she stays with me. She’ll fall just as I have given enough time and then, she’ll be the queen beside me as I hit the pro circuit. Her parents’ lack of caring piss me off but I’ll show her what it means to be loved by someone too intense. Everything I do is now for her. I hope she’s ready for it. Too Intense is a short read around 20,000 words, with strong language, no cheating, and HEAs. It's intended for an adult audience that will leave you longing for a man that’s maybe just a little too intense.

Hailey and Conner

Conner is an intense college football star. Every girlfriend he has had has always seen him as such and that's why they don't last, but he won't stop looking. After moving around so much because her father's in the military Hailey is excited to finally be in one place for a long time. When these two bump into each other one night its insta love for them both.

Pros: I enjoyed how quickly they fell in love and how much Connor worshiped Hailey and made sure no one disrespected her. I also love how it showed them through the years, made it seem like a long epilogue.

Cons: Not a fan of all of the ex- girlfriends, even though there wasn't any OW drama or basically any appearance of any of them it was kind of annoying to hear it being brought up. When Hailey looked at his social media she saw pictures of him with at least 30 ex- girlfriends. I'm not sure if they slept with them all because everyone joked with him that his girlfriend's never lasted. Also, he put her in some panties that he had bought for an ex girlfriend ( she never wore them and they still had the tag on), also he had an open account at Victoria secret because he liked to buy his girlfriends underwear. So that was off putting. I also didn't like how the h in this story was a virgin. He was so happy that she hasn't been with anyone else and that was so stupid because he had been with about 30 other women.

Its not mentioned the last time he was with someone and there is no cheating. After college its a sweet read though. 2 epilogues. I'd also like to say that it would be nice if the author switched up the names a bit. I thought i was reading the sequel to the letters to the solider book because the h is named Hailey and her dad was named Garret . Same as the Hailey and Garret in that book. Overall it was a good read

uh.. i did not like that he was JP with every woman. OWs dumped him.. h was not special. More like he finally found one who can tolerate his crazy possessive ways

I know this is fiction, but I just can't. It's too out there. This would never happen in real life.
If the characters had just known each other for even a week. Not, like, an hour. Immediately after laying eyes on one another they're sleeping together; the next day they're bf/gf and moving in together, and the next thing you know they're married? I would love this kind of relationship if the time table was just more believable.

I could get into the book and the characters. The overall story moved forward very well. The instant love is key with Mink. I joy the couple having a positive give and take with their.

This was a decent short read. Insta love and over the top man. But it was kind of sweet how he took care of her, at least after they’d been together a while. Some thoughts were a bit repetitive or run on.
