Malorie Cooper likes to think of herself as a dreamer and a wanderer, yet her feet are firmly grounded in reality.
A ‘maker’ from an early age, Malorie loves to craft things, from furniture, to cosplay costumes, to a well-spun tale, she can’t help but to create new things every day.
A rare extrovert writer, she loves to hang out with readers and people in general. If you meet her at a convention, she just might be rocking a catsuit, cosplaying one of her own characters, or maybe her latest favorite from Overwatch!
She shares her home with a brilliant young girl, her wonderful wife (who also writes), a cat that chirps at birds, a never-ending list of things she would like to build, and ideas…
Author M.D. Cooper brings us the last of the Genevian Queen series with Rika Destroyer. As the story opens we find out that the enemy Hammond and a few of his supporters are planning to overthrow their Empire. But Rika and her Marauders are heading for the center of that empire in order to take it down and end the war that has been going on since the end of the last Genevian war. Rika will stop at nothing in order to get to her goal and along the way the ISF brings in Tangel in order to help her win and to teach her about the powers that she is growing into. I highly recommend this novel and the rest of the Aeon 14 universe to all science fiction fans.
Strong conclusion to this arc, as we see Rika and friends really come into their own here facing down the Nietzscheans. It really does show too how far a lot of the characters have come from their origins at the beginning of this series. Isn't all plain sailing for them (never is), and some good tension at times, and plenty of good action.
What a great ending to this ARC and i like how there has been a lot to hint at further books in the Aeon 14 universe. Such a popular character needs more and i just hope this is just the start of her story and the Marauders.
Rika and her mechs live up to their reputation as they bring the war with their former conquerors to an end that will allow Genevia to heal its sounds and become a contributing member of the Alliance.
This was a fitting end to Rika's adventures in THIS series. It's interesting to hear things from other people's perspectives while other wars are going on. I look forward to more Rika in other books
This was quite the interesting story and it was nice to see some of the other lesser nexus in M Company get some screen time. It was wrapped up rather nicely.
I finally got around to reading this book and have to say I loved the way it ended. Though I have to say I kind of wished that there was a bit more fighting. I can't wait to see this as an audiobook.
