Taiyo Beer's wine division has been asked to design the wine section for a new gourmet supermarket—but Takasugi, the manager, is interested in nothing but the very best (and very priciest) of wines. A pretty mediocre installment in the series, but even the mediocre installments are very readable. I did like seeing the backstory of the reliable bartender; it was a fairly standard sentimental story but there was something very neat to me about 2006 looking back on the late 70s/early 80s.
This one was not as interesting as the previous volumes I’ve read, that’s the only downside to this. There were a bunch of new characters introduced that I really liked and the usual cast was also there. Just a lot going on.
