You'll see how to write plot-based ads, character based ads, pure marketing ads, the whole bit.
Stop losing money every time you run an ad and instead turn them into book-selling machines.
I’d played with Facebook ads prior to reading this books and hadn’t had much luck. This book takes you right through all steps and I have a pretty successful ad running now getting twice the clicks at half the cost.
This book was amazing and so helpful to navigate the often overwhelming data that Facebook ads throws at you. Mal and Jill do a great job at breaking down what works, what doesn’t, and how to implement it successfully.
The information in this book has helped me immensely with crafting ads, running them successfully, knowing what metrics to look for, when to tweak, when to leave alone, and when to kick an ad to the curb.
If you are new at facebook ads I highly recommend this book it’s a game changer!!
As I wanted to learn more about book ads I picked up this book about Facebook ads. I had just finished a book about Bookbub ads and this one was quite the difference, but that's probably also because of the different systems. The first thing I noticed is how much more complicated the Facebook ads seem and how much more options there are and I think this book does a great job of explaining the different options you have and which ones work best for book ads.
While I think this is a solid read if you want to know more about Facebook ads, something about it didn't fully resonate with me. It didn't get me excited about the possibilities and something about it just didn't fully work for me. There are a few general comments where the authors don't explain what's behind it, where I really wanted to know the why.
I also was a bit confused about how at first the authors didn't seem to address the fact that it can take a reader multiple times to see your book before they buy, but then later in the book that point is addressed, I had just expected it a bit earlier too. The start also gets quite technical and is heavy on the numbers, but that gets less later. The images sometimes looked a bit weirdly placed, but that's one of the downsides of ebooks that images don't look quite right at times.
There are plenty of tips and advice on how to use Facebook ads. I think this book is best to pick up if you already tried ads and want to know more, but even for someone new to ads like me it works as I was able to follow it without much trouble.
To summarize: I think this is a solid read about Facebook ads, but for some reason it didn't fully resonate with me and I can't quite put my finger on why. There are plenty of tips and advice on how to make the most of your Facebook ads. I think this book is most beneficial for those who already know a little about Facebook ads, but those new to them can read this as well.
An incredibly important part of the publishing process, indie authors constantly fail to grasp how to do ads. I’ll admit, I fail at it myself! Mal & Jill’s handy little guide to Facebook Ads is what gave me the push to pursue my own ad adventures. They make it seem a little easier and less intimidating to test your marketing skills. The only thing I would say that detracted from this novel, was that certain aspects in the later half seemed a bit confusing, and I wish they were better explained, step-by-step. The photos meant to show examples weren’t well printed in the paperback version, and of course, I couldn’t just click the link like the ebook version, so it caused a bit of a disconnect in the helpfulness of the novel. It may just be me, with some of it going over my head. I recommend going with the ebook for this particular novel. Most of it was easy to follow and informative, however, and I will gladly be taking some of the advice.
This is the most informative book I've read on Facebook ads for authors, bar none. It's even more helpful than some full-length courses I have taken. I'm re-reading the book now and putting each step into action, and discovering insightful tips I'd missing during the first readthrough. This book is worth much more than the mere five dollars I paid for it. Cannot recommend it enough.
Very technical, but helpful. As I have not taken the plunge yet with FB ads, I cannot confirm just how helpful it is. However, if you are seeking some sort of crash-course and have the intention to use FB ads in the near future, I would recommend this book. Just don't try to read it all in one sitting.
As authors we are writers and editors...creative artists. We didnt sign up for marketing 101. But as business people, we need great resources like this book to guide us and show us the way. This book delivers exactly that for anyone confused by Facebook ads and how to use them.
This book isn't just about ads. There's a lot of great knowledge in this book regarding business and marketing ideologies, and I think it's a really great book to help authors. Sometimes, someone can say something that hits you just the way you need to hear it to understand it and this book is very good at that. You can also get it for free on their website
This is a good guide on how to set up Facebook ads as an author. I skimmed through the beginning because I knew a lot of that info already but once they get into the nitty-gritty, I got a lot out of it.
This is an excellent overview of Facebook Ads that is methodical and easy to understand. It is also one that I'll be dipping into time and time again in relation to the analysis section of how one's ads are doing.
Amazing value for an newish indy author like me. Validated some of the stuff I’m already doing and gave me tons of new ideas. No need to spend £800 on a course in my opinion, I can’t imagine there can be much more to learn about the subject.
Man... secrets revealed. Im glad I purchased it. The authors also offer their aid in various ways. Thats so cool, coming from an indie author. Its worth ever penny.
This book was just what I needed to decipher the confusing maze of using Facebook ads period, let alone as an author. Thanks for playing sharing your wisdom, the Ms. Coopers, to get the rest of us off on the right foot.
Love both this book and the previous version. Facebook advertising is hard, this book helps make it a bit easier to understand. You’ll probably still fail at first but maybe you’ll understand why.
