Tadashi Agi, 亜樹直, is the penname of Yuko and Shin Kibayashi, a sister and brother team of Japanese manga storywriters. Shin Kibayashi also uses the pseudonyms Seimaru Amagi and Yuya Aoki.

Very moving passages. I was interested in the California wine using Sangiovese, cant find it yet.I wrote down several of the wines to try as I’m sure many readers do.

Chpt 79-88

chpt 79 pulling the strings of recollection. Shizuka travels back by train to his father’s villa in Nagano. Shizuka’s gift for housekeeper of his father’s manor, Murakoshi - 2001 Chateau Haut Charles, Fronsac.
Like a rain tree in Hawaii tt seemed to envelop the whole sky. Beneath it you’re greeted w/ a cool shade & it catches a wind infused w/ cacao.

Feckless intern Ryusuke Kido's seminal wine which he tried while serving samples at Ryo Takasugi's new gourmet supermarket Le Marche: 2001 Vincent Girardin Echezeaux. A Grand Cru Burg fr a good negociant // DRC & was similar to Shizuka's seminal win, DRC Echezeaux.

Another charming volume -- I liked Kanzaki having enough insight into people to figure out how to win over Kido! The side story about the woman's daughter's marriage felt a little, hmn, forced? And the messaging seemed like Agi wanted to have it both ways -- 'racial purity' doesn't matter but there is also somehow something 'intrinsically Japanese' which people of Japanese descent have access to? Not my culture, though, and so not my place to really judge; I didn't mind it as a storyline but it wasn't one of my favourites. The character notes were great, though -- Kido adds some good humour, the wine is always really fun, and I appreciated that Loulan is becoming a real character!

The two side stories were nice and helped show the development of the character, however, I feel as if the story is drifting from the original. I eel the side story of his coworkers death wasn't long enough. I feel that story didn't do much other than allow the main character to try one more wine.

I don't know that the wine division needed a new character, because I feel like we're hardly getting any Miyabi! I need to hear more about her goal of becoming a sommelier!
