Atrocity

Rate this book
The past did not matter to her, until it was the only key to her survival.

Life in plush London was a simple and easy affair. With a programmed platform for present, Jenor’s life was a puzzle solved for years to come. Until one day, a few pieces ceased to fit.

Slowly as the ancient knots unravel, Jenor treads a path forked away from her own, merely guessing brick after brick. Each discovery makes it harder to believe in rationality. The people around her, were they really whom she knew them to be? Having walked a dimly lit road for a while, a little light changes it all.

A little more light and it’s something she never sees coming at all.

It’s ancient. It’s atrocity.

This book is huge and contains evil, sorceress, spirits and lots of magic.
Jenor is on a mission of finding out the secrets of her mother's past life and saving the lives of her and her family. There's something her mother has been hiding from her since her birth. That same secret is now haunting her present. Jenor's best friends Harvey and Meghan accompany her with her mission of finding out the truth.
However, the story paces up with the involvement of evil magic. Malicia, an evil sorceress is after Jenor but what is her true motive? Why does she want to kill Jenor?
.
I really liked reading the book though it was quite long. There are a bunch of characters who are well portrayed. Jenor is a brave, young woman who's not afraid of facing the reality. She is a strong person, but I found her quite stubborn and selfish at times. The book is quite of a fantasy with a real world picture.I mean it contains aspects of fantasy but is based on an actual world setting.
.
Mystery is another aspect of this novel. There are secrets left to unfurl at the end and the reader have to keep patience until then. The language is very easy and flows smoothly. I would recommend you to try out this book.
However, I didn't like the cover. The cover deserves to be much better in regards of the story.Since a cover is the first thing a reader will notice, it must be attractive to pull you into it. Therefore, I hope the publishers come out with an alternate cover for this really interesting book
