Strung between death and life, Captain Lisieux must face the truth: Earth's final hope may hold no hope at all.

Hoorrraaayyy for one more awesome story! Nicely written... it grabbed me from the very beginning: the World Building was great and the characters were appealing. I read it straight through to the satisfying ending. Overall: delightful fantasy read!
Captain Lisieux is horrified to discover that her ship full of scientists has been betrayed by her own First Officer. But that is just the first of many losses. * Reading as a sci fi update and amalgamation of various biblical stories, Radcliffe's narrative puts her main character through Job level losses with the fate of humanity at stake. It's a short, easy read that held my attention. My only reservation is that the end felt a little rushed. 4 stars.
Mrs Radcliff does a great job of making me "see" the universe she created. I was telling a friend about it and I had forgotten it was a story and not a movie! It's a short story but she was able to have me connect with the characters very quickly. I'm hoping she does a sequel to this one!
Not a review (because that would be weird) but a quick update! You can get The Canaan Project for 99 cents this week- I had a real nice birthday, and that calls for a celebration :) If you had added this to your TBR, definitely pick it up now!
A banger of a story. I found The Canaan Project, a short story by Kaylena Radcliff, to be exciting, moving, and with some real moments of ecstasy.
A very visual story: the ship reminded me of the Nostromo, from Alien. The story features an especially nasty villain as well, and there's a particularly horrific moment when he takes on the aspect of a demon.
An interesting well written science fiction short with a mix of Christian stories The author packs a lot into a very few pages and I would have really liked to read more of the new world and what happened next. I received a complimentary copy from Storyorigin and am leaving a honest voluntary review.
This intense—and at times grim—space thriller comes with layers of beauty and meaning. Wonderfully written. I highly recommend it for a short, absorbing, and inspirational read.
