Blah blah blah, rescuing M, Mentallo, Stryker blah blah blah - yes Creed's takeover of the team is complete and the now more deadly Weapon X-Force are quite interesting, but Deadpool steals the show with some classic one-liners and fourth wall breaking. Want to know how Deadpool should be written? Read this! Sadly this series was very quietly cancelled one comic book after this volume. 7 out of 12, deadpool-listic Three Star read.

Meh. William Stryker as a protagonist was played out long ago. There's only so many places to go when you're a one dimensional character fueled by hate. I'm also tired of seeing X-Men go to hell. There's a lot of the same old, same old going on here. The bi-weekly schedule has cased havoc with the art. So many jam sessions with so-so artists. The big battle scenes are anti-climatic because they're so busy I couldn't tell what has even happening.

This was even worst than the last vol. the cartoony artwork was still horrible and not at all in connection with the story and the whole theme of the team, so whenever I saw Cinar's art I was grateful and then it would change to the cartoon style and it'd be frustrating to read.

But that wasn't the problem at all, I could get used to the artwork, if the story was good. But it wasn't, it was basically Sabretooth redeeming himself, and the amount of cliches that's in this one too, and all the "romantic" scenes were garbage to say the least. Treating Sabretooth like he's a teenager in school being in love and whatnot. Nope. This was as cringeworthy as the scene with Jimmy and Neena in the last vol. kissing MID-AIR while shooting bad guys. Yes. You read that right. A Huge NO.

And last but not least, I see my favorite character guest-starring (Deadpool) and he's being NOT Deadpool (YAY) I'm being sarcastic.. you have Deadpool in a couple of issues and in half of them in half the scenes he's in, he's just not even talking, he's in action scenes and in the background NOT saying shit. Who? Deadpool. Not talking. What the actual fuck?

Anyway, I didn't like it as you can tell, but.. this is to remind me not to reread this again and why I didn't like it, so thank you future me!

PS. Couple of nice jokes here and there but overall it didn't do it for me and I'd rather not buy the whole series digital AND print (amazing cover art).

Of course, just when Weapon X finally hits its stride, it comes to an end. But it's a solid end, so there are worse complaints to have.

This volume collects the final six issues of the book, which pits the newly-rechristened Weapon X Force into battle with Reverend Stryker once again. Roping in Deadpool and Monet (as well as some story beats from Cullen Bunn's Uncanny X-Men), this story goes to some extremely unexpected places such as a cult building, and literal Hell.

All it seems to have taken for this title to really shine is for Old Man Logan to shuffle off and Sabretooth to take centre stage. He's surprisingly compelling as a protagonist, and his struggles with his Inverted personality and his killer instincts are reminiscent of Wolverine but from a very different angle. It makes the ultimate conclusion to his storyline here kind of bittersweet - he gets his redemption, but it doesn't come without a cost.

The artwork in this volume is a little more all over the place than previously. Yildiray Cinar returns, but the later issues devolve into jam sessions between a few weaker artists that don't really gel at all. They don't detract from the action individually, but they're not a great combination by any stretch.

Weapon X goes out on a high - it's just a shame it took this long to get to this level and not have as much time to enjoy it.

This wasn't a bad finish, though it does seem like the William Stryker character is pretty played out by this point. Not sure I care for how frequently Marvel characters go to hell (which happens here). Sabretooth as a protagonist has been pretty good, though he seems to have reverted back to his former self by the end. Another book with a revolving cast of artists...meh.

If the last book brought us the worst of the '90s, this one brings the worst of the 2000s. One of Chuck Austen's stupidest character Azazel, the mutant devil or whatever, who's here only as a plot device, and turn up he can grant wishes.
We also get a visit from 200000 x-men villains, because they apparently play poker together. Why? Reasons.

The ending gives us a moment taken straight out of the Constantine movie, which is unoriginal and quite stupid if you think of it for more than a second. At least they gave some sort of closer when they brought back M.

Up until volume 3 I thought I'll miss this book, that is no longer the case

Stryker, back from the dead again, a trip in Hell- I bloody hate these dumb trips in Hell- lousy art and my own personal Hell: Deadpool (for no particular reason, mind you).
Too much for over-bored little me.

Lots of action here! Quite chaotic with all the characters, but still easy to follow.
Highlights:
- Sabretooth finds out that Monet has been brought into a cult and wants the team (him, Omega Red, Domino, Deathstrike, and Mystique) to go in and rescue her. She doesn't want to leave and they discover that everyone is under the control of Mentallo. When they begin to try to take her by force, the cult reveals that Deadpool is also under their sway, and he fights them.
- Mentallo eventually reveals that he has a boss of his own: The Reverend William Stryker, now equipped with a very powerful cyborg body. Stryker defeats them.
- The team is now forced to battle in an arena, gladiator style for the entertainment of the cult. Fighting against them is a bunch of minor villains, including Sauron and Pyro, all operating under the control of Mentallo. They are able to defeat the control and both groups turn back against to fight against Stryker and the cult.
- Stryker has made a deal with a devil to have his body constantly renewing itself. Seeking to break that deal, the team seeks out Azazel, who can send them to hell. Azazel quickly kills the whole team, and freezes their time so that they can accomplish their mission before their healing factors kick in.
- ADVENTURE IN HELL! Sabretooth wakes in a hospital, unable to heal. His nurse, keeping him sick and preventing his healing is a Morlock that he killed years earlier. As he tries to overcome, he discovers his son Graydon down there as well. In a hilarious turn, Deadpool's personal hell is to tell stand up jokes that get him booed, and he can never stop.... but even funnier is that Domino's hell is to have to listen to his jokes!
- They all are able to escape their personal hells and seek out the devil that Stryker made the deal with. He informs them that Mentallo is working on Stryker right now. They all get brought back by Azazel and the fight resumes. Sabretooth initially goes after Stryker, but when the team is in trouble, he goes back to help against Mentallo.
- Mentallo is able to kill Sabretooth, using him as the sacrifice to fulfill Stryker's ultimate power, but only after he takes his mind back to a primal state. Back in hell, Sabretooth uses the sacrifice to resurrect his son Graydon, kills Stryker for good, and has to remain in hell.
- Seeing his mental state, the devil that made the deal opens a portal and lets Victor back into the Canadian Wilderness to deal with his feral nature.

This Volume ends the title as well, wrapping up what was a nice run. I look forward to see how X-Force and Weapon X play a role in the Age of X-Man universe.
Recommend. Title and Volume.

And the finale really holds nothing back. Reverend Stryker has made a deal with the devil for great power, and the Weapon X-Force team literally travels to Hell after him to end him once and for all. The ending also leads to big changes for Sabretooth. I think some readers may find this volume a little far out, even for the X-Men, but I thought it was fairly well done.

Overall I did enjoy the Weapon X series, probably more then any of the recent X-Men series.

I love that Satan is all like: "Imma let you go cuz you can't see the irony in this and I can't enjoy this if you don't understand how stupidly ironic it is"
But I think my favorite part was when Mystique and Sabretooth were going under cover and when the doorman asks Sabretooth what his name is and he says 'Dick Steele' the look on Mystique's face was priceless. 'What did I say about being professional. I literally said this five minutes ago. Can you act like an adult for once in your life. Good god I'm working with a 13 year old'

Reverend Stryker has returned again but after taking him down again, our team decides to go to hell to make sure he’s dead. I did enjoy seeing Sabertooth lead this team as that is something you just don’t see. Him in the suit and glasses tryin to be undercover was hilarious! While in hell Creed runs across his son and makes a sacrifice to free him from hell but it ends up costing him. I wish Cinar could have did all the art as his work was the best. The last few issue were playing artist roulette which made the book suffer. Otherwise an Ok final volume I suppose.

SPOILERS!!!!

This story line is about the rise and fall of Sabertooth's humanity. Their fight with the spirit of Stryker that made a deal with the devil. With the help of Azazel they are "killed" and go straight to hell.

With the help of Mystique and Deadpool, they tackle their trip, Sabertooth redeems himself by selflessly saving his son Graydon from hell, Satan gives Sabertooth back his life, but takes away his humanity again and he is back to being a the animal that he believes himself to be.

Less an end to the series than the end of an arc that just happened to be the book's last due to changes in the line (though a final issue twist attempts to send the book out on a note of finality & create something of a legacy - even if just in terms of being a future footnote - for its run). I still don't love what Pak & Ven Lente did with Stryker overall, which drives a lot of what happens here, but "Weapon X-Force goes to hell!" is a high-concept that's hard not to enjoy to some extent.

An interesting conclusion to the run, but it ended really abruptly, I would have expected more books in the run as there were some loose ends. That said, the addition of Mystique and Deadpool to the team/mix of characters was a welcomed addition. I wish Warpath would have been a part of it, but all said, there was great chemistry throughout.
Good artwork and storytelling in this collection. Not the best part of the run, but it was enjoyable for sure!

This one was a mess. 90% of the characters act nothing like themselves and the plot is so far beyond believable that it doesn't remember what that even looks like anymore.

In the end, none of this matters at all as Marvel is basically rebooting the x-books again, apparently, but good riddance to this series in my opinion.

Creed finally starts behaving as if he’s still inverted just as he gains control of the team, but it’s too little too late. M and Deadpool join the ranks (and I guess Azazel too for a hot minute), all so they can face off against Reverend Stryker again. It’s better than the previous collections, but not by much.

Not the strongest arc in this series, and Deadpool was unnecessary, but he tends to be. Definitely a unique way to go about that status quo reset, but also why? Why?!? Why

Weapon X-Force Goes to Hell and Brings the Plot with It

The whole plot is just a device to return Sabretooth back to being a villain. Deadpool is a welcome diversion from the thin plot. That being said, the first part is enjoyable, but it's obvious the whole goal was to reset Sabretooth back to factory settings. I guess everybody else just kind of goes their separate way?

This series finally ends and it ends with another disastrous thud. The plot is bananas. Why does this team have matching unforms? Why is Domino this way? Why is Sabretooth portrayed in credibly evil then panels later spoken about likes he's changed? So many more questions. It was dreadful. The art was decent but unspectacular. Overall, I'm happy to not be reading this any more.

This series of Weapon X really struggled to find it's way but once it did, by making Sabertooth the leader, they ended things. Stryker and hell wasn't the direction to go.... Wasted potential.

When your goal after twenty-seven basically issues of mindless carnage is to return Sabretooth back to his murdering, sex offending old self I have to question the point of your series.

I massively enjoyed this series. It kept me on the edge of my seat plot wise while still being able to let me enjoy the character dynamics and laugh at the jokes. The writing was great and the jokes were well played every time.
