I fell in love with the enemy… and got her pregnant.
This could probably be the biggest mistake of my life. Except that I don’t regret any of it. Amanda is beautiful. She’s with me for who I am… Not for my big bank account. I can’t keep my hands off her gorgeous curves. And my lips off her soft skin. She’s all I want. The problem? Her father who’s my biggest rival in business. He’ll do everything in his power to destroy what we have. But there’s one thing he has no control over. The baby that’s growing inside Amanda.
I’m ready to risk it all… if that’s what it takes to claim my family.
Mia Ford is a recent addition to my reading material and so far hasn’t disappointed me. This is Amanda and Lyle’s journey through deception and betrayal to each other.
Amanda meets Lyle at a club and their chemistry is instant they start dating and she’s falling for him fast and hard but little does she know that behind their love affair is the fact that they work for rival companies and that Lyle is well aware of the circumstances. When things start to unravel will she choose Lyle or be manipulated by her father to end what they could of had?
Lyle is aware of who Amanda is and knows that he should tell her the truth but continues with a charade but when the truth comes out can he show Amanda how he really feels and will she forgive the secrets and the betrayal or will she take her own secret and walk away? Suddenly there is so much more at stake and Lyle isn’t backing down.
I really enjoyed these two characters they had such an electric chemistry from the word go and with the family intrigue and drama there wasn’t a dull moment. I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced copy of this book.
Overall I liked it. Lyle and Amanda are both out one night and end up going home together. Comes to find out that she is the daughter of his business rival. Of course by the title you know she ends up pregnant. My only problem is that I didn't like how Amanda was going to keep that from him just because she was mad at him. I thought that was childish. Thankfully in the end she got smart and they were able to have their happy ending.
One of the worst accidental pregnancy trope I ever read and trust me I have read plenty.
Bitch heroine Wimp hero - but way better than h Illogical plot No character development Horrible grammar Lots of "Fuck" (literally and figuratively)
....u get the drift ?? I am surprised by such high ratings, I didn't even want to finish this book. Please skip this one and save your time. If not for the H this would be a 1 star read.
This is a well written book with strong characters and an intriguing story line. A one night stand ,an unexpected pregnancy ,secrets and lies brings drama in this office romance with a twist. The story moves fluidly and is a great read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
We have drama, secrets, lies and now a baby on top. Amanda hates her dad won';t see that she can run his business. Lyle is a rival to her dad. They meet and sparks fly. What will happen when Amanda finds out who he really is? What will Lyle do to keep her? Can the baby save them or ruin them? What will her dad do to keep them separate? If you have read any of Mia Ford's story's you will not want to miss this one.

Accidental Pregnancy. This book was a surprise story of love in its rarest form. I wasn't expecting Lyle to be so kind and thoughtful. He took the first step to stand up to and for Amanda when her father wanted to do crazy things to stop them from having a relationship. This book was a great read! I loved Lyle and Amanda’s story. I was captivated from the beginning and it kept me turning pages until the last word. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for an awesome read
I really enjoyed Lyle & Amanda's story. Good characters. This was a fun book. I received a free copy of the book & am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This is quite possibly the worst book I’ve ever read. The dialogue is unbelievable at best. There are so many typos and random letter strings it’s distracting.
Amanda, 28, has worked her way up at her father’s company but her dad still doesn’t think she an run the company. While out drinking and dancing she meets Lyle and they are attracted and spend the night together before Amanda has to leave for a business meeting. Her dad sends Amanda to negotiate a deal with another tech company that he doesn’t think will succeed, but he puts her in charge. Lyle sees her the next day at his company for the meeting and realizes that she is the daughter of his business rival but she has no idea that he inherited his parents’ business 2 years ago. They meet again and Amanda becomes sick after they sleep together again. What will happen when Amanda finds out that she is pregnant and she then finds out that Lyle never told her who he really is?
I enjoyed this story where strangers hook up before they really know much about each other and it turns out that they are business rivals who are hoping to begin a joint venture. Things moved very quickly between them and Kyle is not completely honest with Amanda. Amanda’s father really doesn’t treat her well even though she works hard for his company. When her dad finds out who she is seeing he says some unforgivable things in my opinion and threatens Kyle. The epilogue was a great ending for their story.

2.5 stars - This is an OK read. There's nothing spectacular about it beyond a couple of steamy sex scenes. It had promise but didn't pan out.
Amanda Simmons is mostly fierce and independent, but when it comes to her father, I'm not a fan of the person she becomes. It's disappointing to say the least.
As for Lyle Thompson, I like him, but I'm not attached to him. I don't doubt I'll forget him before I finish my next book.
So Alan Simmons, Amanda's father.... He may be the most memorable character and not for good reasons. I can handle despicable people in books, but this wasn't the book I expected to find one in. Sexist? Yes. Other negative -ists? Sure. But deplorable? Not the vibes this had going... until it did. There's no redeeming him. Those comments he made upon finding out Amanda was pregnant are unforgivable. It honestly soured the rest of the book for me. I struggled to concentrate on the last several chapters.
Lyle and Amanda are both at a bar drowning out the day. Amanda wants more responsibility at her fathers company but he refuses to budge, hence the shots..
Lyle has had a rough day at the office and just wants to unwind..
Fate brought them together but lies will tear them apart..
The description I read is a little tame considering the true content..
Lies from the start..
A one night stand turned to love then to an unplanned pregnancy, to the realization that she had been sleeping with the enemy the whole time..
With betrayal and confusion in her heart, Amanda leaves Lyle and keeps a whopper of a secret from him.
Can Lyle explain she was not a game to him, why he initially lied about his identity, will she give him a second chance? These question will be answered, How about this one, Will her father?

Amanda and Lyle meet at a nightclub and hit it off. They are instantly attracted to each other and spend the night together. What could have ended as a one night stand continues when Amanda gives him her number before she leaves. Now thus could have been the regular meeting and getting to know one another story, but it turns out that Lyle is the owner of Amandas fathers buisness and the same company she has been put in charge of comming up with a merger on an idea with. He quickly finds out who she is but keeps her in the dark about who he is. Throw in an unexpected pregnancy and other complications and you have an interresting story about hidden truths, surprises, choices and the question of where they end up.

Amanda has had a rough day working for her father and heads for a night out where she meets Lyle. She is instantly attracted to him and ends up spending the night with him. She is delighted when they agree to meet up for coffee, despite everything going on with her work life this is the one thing making her happy. The more time she spends with Lyle the more she falls for him but when she realises he hasn’t been honest with her it leaves her devastated, especially when she has only just found out she is pregnant. On top of that, Lyle is her fathers number one enemy! A really enjoyable story with great characters, so easy to read! Great book!

Lyle and Amanda meet in a night club and hit it off from the beginning they talk and he is as smitten with her as she is with him, So the next morning they exchanged numbers But at this point they both only know each other’s first names. They meet for dinner and Amanda is talking about a project that she is doing for work and she mentions his company but he does not tell her that it is his company Or that her father is his biggest rival, so at this point he doesn’t say anything because he’s too afraid of losing her but secrets always have a way of coming out. This was a definitely quick and easy read, the smut was also great and never boring. However, both of their POVs felt weirdly similar, maybe it was because of Lyle’s lack of characterization. Also, the writing was quite basic and a lot of expressions were reused for such a short book, I mean take a shot every time you read an iteration of the word “shudder”.
Plot wise, things felt too easy. Monologues were used so characters could info-dump or over-explain plot points. Though it lived up to its title, there was not a lot of pregnancy content, except for like one chapter and the epilogue.
A relationship that is built in lies and deception is not a relationship. That being said Lyle knew who Amanda was. He knew she was from the rival company and did not say one word. They meet up in a club and fall into each other f ok r a one night stand. Problem is that one night stand left something more permanent. Will Amanda choose Lyle or the company? Will they be able to work out their issues. Read along to find out.

Amanda had hoped that she would take over the reigns of the family business when her father stepped down but he dashed those dreams. She decides to go to a club to drown her sorrows where she finds herself falling into the arms of a sexy stranger. They hit off and spend the night together and though she gives him her number he hides his identity when he finds out she is the daughter of his business rival When she finds out she is pregnant this adds to an already complicated situation. Great read

This create a chain of events that change the fate of few people, among them Amanda and Lyle, but not the only ones...... Old rivalries, new competition, posible business colaboration - all seems to ne in the path of this two.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Lyle and Amanda get together not knowing about the connection between them. When they realize it, it is already too late. They have several obstacles to get past, including her father. Amanda and Lyle have to decide what is most important. The story has plenty of drama, family, secrets, and steam.

Business and pleasure meet. Unknowingly dating your business rival, accidentally get pregnant, making your dad/boss really angry. Yup all that happens to Amanda in this book. Lots of ups and downs, but with a really sweet ending

This was fun to read. Both of them needed a good time to just relax from the stress of their jobs. They really lacked communication skills considering the business they were in. Yet, they are both responsible for such a good accident. They mellowed out a lot in the end because it was not about them anymore.
