I was glad i got this free.. it was super short under 40 pages and i wish.. it was longer.
Marco is in the mob working for his pops and he is collecting a debt.. he wants his money but douch offers something else his innocent daughter.. and at first Marco is disgusted and thinks she would be ugly.. but he is shocked at Emily shes to innocent and pure.. she's his and he shall protect and have her.
So he meets with her and Emily knows who he is but she doesnt say nothing.. a date turns into more.. there is a moment of push away.. since Em is scared.. but its very fluff..
I would have loved this longer and see what Emily does with her snake father.. :( sad it wasnt.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, drama, sexy time, Virgin gal said was a playboy but wasnt shown.
Recommend- maybe

3.5 take me away stars!
Sometimes a reader just wants to escape and that's exactly what Marco and Emily's story was for me today. Hero, Marco Russo was the town's mob boss and was collecting a debt from Marty who stole from him. What a stupid move! Marty managed to spend all the money he stole and decided to give his daughter, Emily away to cover said debt. Marco knows he's worthless but had no problem with the transaction after seeing the innocent but sexy Emily's picture and then we quickly see just how sweet this mafia story unfolds in "Given to the Mob (Rossi Brothers #1)" begins. Little did Marco know that Emily had a little crush on the him. Although not as gritty and suspenseful as most of the mafia selections I've read but still memorable all the same.

June 28, 2021Forgot to add to my Goodreads. I don't know why I notice it today. I read the first chapter again, and everything just clicks. I am debating whether to continue with the series or not. Maybe I will if I want a quick steamy mafia romance.

Tooooo short!!
Started out good with a promising story line. Then he owns her. Couple weeks she's showing she's pregnant which we know isn't true. Then it was over. No conclusion. No marriage proposal.
Way to short. Would of given 5 stars. Keep going.

Marco watched Emily from afar then decided to head into the diner to be closer her father had given her to him as payment instead of money that he couldn’t repay the mob. Marco was second in command and one look at her he knew she was the one. Emily had seen Marco once before and always thought him handsome but when he turned up her diner where she worked and asked out she declined his offer. Marco never gives in and waited for her to finish her shift they end up back at his apartment since he got her locked out of hers. Emily finds out her father has sold her to Marco as upset as she is Emily tried to leave but realised that the life out there has nothing in it for her and to prove to Marco she wasn’t going anywhere again she gave him the one thing he could only have. Loved this book first one I have read from this author will be reading more.

This is clearly a parody novel. There is a beginning and there is an end. Everything in between must be a joke.
The entirety of what is being called a novel, takes place over 24 hours and then fast forward ... God knows how far, and it's a HEA. Bruh ... this is a new type of love at first sight because they be exchanging I love yous less then 24 hours after meeting each other.
At first I thought this was a lead up to a bigger story, but it seems this is the whole story. It's currently free on Amazon so at least you wouldn't have wasted money and if I am being honest, the beginning had potential but where is the rest of the story?

I'm going to stop reading now, so I don't rate it low. It's just too much for me. Virgin heroine and a hero who's been with many women. He doesn't know what he would do if she'd slept with someone before him, and he's jealous even thinking about it, but it doesn't matter with how many girls he's been with. 🙄 Also, he has locks on her apartment's door changed, so she'd go home with him. And her excuse for going is that her friends are either working or sleeping, so it's perfectly normal to go with some stranger she's just met, but knows is a criminal.
I read a lot insta-love, OTT stories, but this one didn't work for me.

I liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable despite what Emily's father did. The characters were likable. It's mafia lite so there is mention of the mafia and a little violence, but not a lot. Marco was very determined and controlling when it came to getting what he wanted which was Emily. Emily found Marco attractive and knew who he was but didn't expect that he would want to be with her. Once Marco had Emily where he wanted her, he was keeping her. Their happy ever after made me smile. I recommend reading this book.

Marco was struck by her and determined to make her his. He met her and waited until she finished work to offer her a lift the she finds she’s locked out of her apartment. So Marco takes her back to his place. I’ll leave it there for you to read the rest.

Could have been more... everything
It was so quick there was virtually no story here. It had potential, and you saw occasional flashes of brilliance, but ... no. There was no reason for Marco to even tell her about the deal with her dad other than to drive a wedge between them, she'd already pretty much fallen into his arms/bed... which she did way too quickly for someone who has waited that long IMHO.

A very short story, perfect for reading when you only have a short break to fill. The main characters have great chemistry and despite being thrown together under somewhat dubious circumstances they do manage to make it to a HEA.

This book starts out good and has an interesting story that grabs your attention and pulls you in, but it is very short, leaving needed details out and the last part was rushed and didn't really close the story out. I did like Marco and how he was honest with Emily when she questioned him.

Love a good read and this book has it all . Well done Autumn this is so well written and tense in more ways than you can count . I love strong characters and this book has everything you could want . No spoilers here you need to read this book for yourself. Everyone enjoy .

Emily has been given to mob boss, Marco, by her father to pay a debt. Marco is enchanted by Emily and wants to protect her as his. Emily is just the woman to soften Marco a bit. This is a feel good fast read that will have you cheering for the bad mob boss and his sweet woman. ❤

Marco and Emily's story was incredible.
Although it was fast paced.
This is my introduction to this author and I was not disappointed.

This was Book One of the Rossi Brothers trilogy. Marco Rossi and Emily were great characters. Marty, Emily's father, owed a debt to the mob he couldn't pay. Instead he offered up his daughter, Emily, in exchange to clear the debt. Can hardly wait for Book Two!

Great short story with some steam and a little mafia family involved. A bad man with a heart of gold. Marco is swoony in his own right and I enjoyed listening to this. The narrator does a great job of bringing the characters to life.

It was one I would recommend. I know the Authors writing and that wasnt her best work. It felt like butchers together, no details, really just a lot of scene add together for my taste. Very very very fictional with a heroin that just give it no her faith way to easily, without any fight.
