My Backward Life

Rate this book
The last thing Louise Doors remembers is collapsing on her way home from a gig and a boy trying to save her life. Now, six days later, she's woken up. But she's not in the hospital, she's at home, and it seems her life has gone on without her, except everything is messed up. Her best friends hate her, she's hanging out with a girl she barely knows, and a boy called Dylan wants to meet up to give her a letter. As it turns out, Dylan isn’t just any boy, either, he’s the guy who tried to save her life.

Soon Louise will find out exactly what's been going on in her absence because those missing days are happening again, only in reverse. While each day brings surprising revelations about her family and her friends, Louise draws closer to Dylan, hoping he can help her get her proper life back. But she hadn’t expected to fall in love, nor that these six days might be all she has left. After years of conforming to other people’s expectations, Louise finally has the chance to be true to herself—but only if she can reach out and grab it.

*Thanks to Netgalley for this eARC in exchange for an honest review*

Never heard about this book before, but the title and description intrigued me. Finally, Finally, Netgalley agreed to approve me this copy, I am not sure but maybe after a year, I got an eARC from Netgalley.

My backward story is about, Lousie who slept on Friday night and woke up on Thursday morning, missing 6 days of her life. The stranger thing is that no one realises that. Everything took a turn of 360. Her parents are getting divorced, her friends are turned against her. She suddenly got a kinda boyfriend and a friend. Everything got more complicated when the next day she realized that her life is going backwards.

The concept of the story was fun, timelines weren’t confusing, character development was good, pace of the story was good. It was writing which didn’t go well with me. Though I enjoyed the book.

This book must have been difficult to write. My instinct tells me that Claire Merle worked extremely hard on this book. Louise Doors aka Galaxy Doors is a good protagonist. She is smart, sensible, and kind. Louise sees good in everybody. Louise and Dylan had good chemistry.

“I felt like a thread in the middle of it all. A thread with a color all of its own, weaving in and out, skimming their worlds, wrapping tiny cross stitches around Dylan and me.”

I didn’t know any of the characters well enough to connect with them although all the situations were extremely relatable ‘My Backward Life’ will relate to people struggling with mental health issues. Louise Doors' disregard for authority, peer pressure, family issues will appeal to the target audience.

“Listen, sweetie, forget what everyone says about your teens, being the best years of your life. It’s rubbish. Being 16 is like being inside a bubble and you’re suffocating and trying to slit the sides, but all the adults have made you believe that if you break the bubble, the vacuum outside will swallow you up.”

There were many literary techniques used in diverse ways, many vivid characters with flaws. It gave me severe ‘Speak’ vibes in the beginning. The writing was sophisticated and there are so many things worthy of praise. ‘My Backward Life’ had unique diction that matched the unconventional plot. The character growth of Louise was inspiring. There are so many thought-provoking incidents that take place in the book.

The paragraphs were pieces of a puzzle stacked on top of each other rather than connected. Despite all the sentiments this book consisted of, there was a detached tone. The climax was satisfying but not justified because when people redo their past they will face unexpected consequences in the future and a bittersweet climax would’ve worked better for this book.

I recommend this book to YA readers who are in the mood for something unconventional. Trigger: Mention of Rape, abuse, and eating disorders.

Merle has written a completely enthralling young adult novel with 'My Backward Life'. It reminded me of the wonderful 'Before I Fall' by Lauren Oliver, but managed to put a clever spin on the popular 'Groundhog Day' trope. Louise Doors attends a gig on Friday night and remembers collapsing in the street. When she wakes, six days have passed and her life has completely altered. As she lives those days backwards, she gets to know her mysterious saviour Dylan and grapples with drama in both her friendships and home life.

At first when Louise relived her lost day backwards, I was as confused as her. There are many baffling small details which make no sense... at first. This is the beauty of this book! The reader is right there with Louise on her journey of discovery and gradually realise the intricate details to the plotting pull themselves together beautifully. Merle manages to craft Louise's journey with a huge number of issues relevant to teenage life ranging from divorce to eating disorders to sexual consent; they are dealt with sensitively and as Louise matures as a character, we increasingly support her response to these situations. I fully expect my teenage students to find this book gripping but also as a springboard to some important conversations.

All in all, Merle has written an excellent young adult novel which will resonate well with its target audience. Let's hope Netflix snap this up to give it the TV series treatment too!

I picked up this book mainly because of the intriguing premise, but not expecting much as well, thinking it wouldn't really blow me away because I'd already seen this done before. However, this was a very pleasant surprise.
After a weird night out Louise Doors wakes up six days later with no recognition of what has been going on with her life in the meantime- her parents are separating, her friends hate her and this random guy seems to know who she is all of the sudden. On top of that, her days start going backward (roll credits). She has to figure out what's going on and maybe do some retrospection on the way.
Firstly, I must admit that I was scared that all of her friends hating her after she woke up would mean the same old cartoonish slut shaming girl hate that I thoroughly despise in books (especially in YA). Thankfully, this wasn't the case. The relationships between our protagonist and her friends, inspite of not being the most human and real thing ever, felt grounded. As a matter of fact, all of Louise's bonds with people did, and this added many layers to the plot and the characters, which made the novel all that much more enjoyable.
In addition to this, even though maybe this book's premise sounds a bit chaotic, it was very well executed, with the confusing timelines and everything. Partly due to the pacing being so endearing.
Still, I did feel at times (mainly the begining) that the writing stye didn't flow that well with me and once it dragged on for a while.
In conclusion, I think that if you're looking for a fast-paced contemporary read with some sci-fi elements in it, this one is for you.

//

Decidí leer este libro porque me pareció interesante la premisa, pero al mismo tiempo le tenía un poquito de miedo, sentía que no me iba a terminar de convencer al no ser nada que no haya visto antes. Me terminé sorprendiendo.

TW: mentions of sexual assault and eating disorder

This book's premise was very intriguing from the start. It's about a girl, Louise Doors, who has an accident on Friday and wakes up on Thursday morning, only to find out that her life has turned upside down. Her old friends have turned against her, she has got herself a boyfriend and a new friend and her parents are getting divorced. On top of that, her life seems to be going backwards instead of forwards and no one seems to notice anything unusual.

This book is not similar to anything I've read before. It's definitely a page turner, I, for a fact, could not put it down because I wanted to know what happens next. I loved the most of the characters, they were very flawed but realistic. Louise has an amazing relationship with her siblings, which makes the book even better.

That being said, I only had a problem with the pacing of the book, in the beginning it started fine, I found the middle part dragging a little bit while the end of the book, in my opinion, was rushed.

Overall, a really good book, worth a try if the plot seems interesting to you!

I can't believe this book is finally out!! My school librarian had me beta read one of the early drafts of it back in 2013 or 14 (I think back then it was called The Backwards Life of Louise Doors which tbh I liked better as a title). I didn't know it had finally been published, this is so exciting!
Marking it as read but actually I really want to re-read it because I know I really enjoyed it when I read it back then but I'm sure a ton has changed!

This is a book that will confound and delight in equal measures.
Our main character, Louise, goes to a gig with her friends on a Friday night. Things don’t quite go to plan, and she recalls walking home and falling. She has a memory of a boy coming to check on her, but when she wakes up she’s six days in the future and things are not what they were.
Leaving aside the whole ‘she’s jumped six days and nobody sees anything weird’, this gets odder as we realise Louise is now travelling backwards a day at a time. She knows things before they happen, and she’s taking steps to right wrongs that nobody is prepared for her to know.
Louise was a strong character, that you can’t help but root for as she tries to make sense of the strange events she’s living through. Her relationship with Dylan was entertaining to read about, and I liked the message this gave about her friendships.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this in exchange for my thoughts.

It's interesting and unusual concept. Living backwards and given a second chance to return to the present to make positive changes.

Louise and her group of friends attend a party. It turns out that some of her friends are not as loyal as she thought. Feeling a little hurt, she leaves the party, but before she reaches her house, she collapses.

Dylan comes to her aid and during the time that she is unconscious, she goes backwards in time. She discovers things about herself, her family and her friends. Not all pleasant. During that time she builds a relationship with Dylan, but will he remember her when she returns to the present? Will she be able to use this second chance to right the wrongs?

I was kindly issued with an eARC from Netgalley and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

Louise fainted and when she woke up her life turns upside down. She doesn't know what happened to her for the whole 6 days that she missed. Since the day she woke up, she lives those days backward. Confused as hell.

The story is good and it was fun to read this. The characters were flawed so if feels normal and realistic. I loved how Louise character growth during those backward days. Ohhh I loved her relationship with her siblings !! Ohhhhh and I loved Dylan too hahhaa

Thank you Netgalley for My Backward Life ARC!

It is an initiatory journey that is being played out before our eyes and I adored it. To be honest, I was so engrossed in the story that once I opened the book, I didn't let go ofit until I finished it. It's been a long time since I had devoured a novel in a few hours.

I loved to see with what logic the events precede one another. I completely subscribed to Claire Merle's logic

Regarding the characters, their evolution was very interesting to read but the heroine's one is really a treat. Usually withdrawn, she gains in badass attitude and does not hesitate to act according to her convictions. I totally root for her!

In conclusion, this novel has been a great adventure. It's simple, once the story is over, I reread it, backwards, to savor the unfolding of events. It was awesome!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher who provided an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book ever that I review from NetGalley, so...very well. What I can say about this book is that it is...singular...interesting...and really entertaining. The truth is I judged this book by its cover and that was the reason I clicked on it in the first place, to see what it was about. I can say I got intrigued but also skeptical about this book because, what could I find in a book where the main character wakes up jumping 6 days in the future, has amnesia and then go back to the past? It seemed interesting but not that believable and the truth it was like that...at the begining. When I got more inmersed in the story I realized that I was getting in the upside down life of a girl that doesn´t remember anything from the last days and has to deal with being ignored by her friends, family drama and a strange and mysterious boy that came from nowhere but is helping her. And it was awesome. It had me waiting and waiting for more, biting my nails, trying to discover the adventures and troubles she got in and couln´t remember.
The book has topics like the value of a true friend - and the annoying fake ones -, the influence of divided family, sexual assault and the importance of appreciating the moments in life, but backward. Towards the past.
Even when it was hard to conect with this strange reality at the begining , I fell in love with the characters - and wanted to slap others- that brought life to this story.
My backward life is a book I enjoyed a lot.

I had to switch to a laptop to write this review. I wanted to rate it before even finishing it, which I don't do. This novel is completely mind-blowing. I don't know why it's even underrated. I wish more readers could read this and enjoy it as I did.
Alright, first of all, I want to talk about the original idea of what happened to Louise.
Louise is a normal girl, like everyone, but because she fell and hit her head, she entered a state of time travel, just backwards. It's like when someone is dying and is replying his whole life backwards. Simply for her, it was just one week and she lived it backwards.
Well, they talked about parallel universes and such but I didn't eat the idea. I like to see it as a premonition or as a kind of prophecy. However, it will shape her week and even her relationship with the boy she falls in love with.
She wakes up one week away from the day she hit her head and plays her life backwards. I am always on for some time-travel romance story. I found them more enjoyable and not cliché.
Dylan is a nice guy, I want to hug him sometimes. As Louise said, he is worth it.
The first half of the novel is about Louise playing her life backwards and the second part is about the normal timeline. She wakes us, Dylan not knowing her but she had memories from her backward life. It's her conquest to get him and fix the wrong in her life.
I am happy because she realized that she didn't have to live in the shadows of someone else, that sometimes the friends you grew up with for years just changed and you didn't realize it. I seriously want to murder her friends, except for Candice and Rana. I want to murder Chrissy.

When Lousie Doors wakes up, all she remembers is collapsing the previous night and a guy trying to wake her up. Next thing she knows, she's missed six days of her life. Her memory of those six days is missing, but things have changed. Doors' friends have turned against her, and a guy named Dylan is in love with her. Her parents are getting divorced, and before she can make sense of everything, the day passes. However, when she wakes up the next day, it isn't the 'next day'. She is back to the same day, the day after she collapsed. The days are happening in reverse, and each day there's a new revelation of what she missed. Lousie comes in terms with what happened between in these missing days. But can she fix things?

Well, I loved the concept. We often think about going backwards in life to mend the broken things; something we said, something we did. But what if you get a chance to do that? Merle's idea of going backwards is not unique, but the way she has laid it is stellar. The writing is smooth, and you go with the flow. The characters are typical- broken family, bitchy friends, a loving boyfriend, which makes the novel not only relatable but enjoyable.

My only issue is that timelines of the events were slightly confusing. At times, I had to go backwards and see what happened previously. (I read the book in one sitting btw). You do get the hang of it by some 40 per cent into the story, but it can be slightly irritating to reach there.

I'd say hang in there because it's only going to get better. Recommended.

Oh my gosh where do I even start!

The entire format of the book is mind blowing! The way every little bread crumbs was put was masterfully done! I love how as you went along the story unfolded and everything that made no sense on the first day suddenly had a new meaning!

Now to Louise! Seriously, I loved her character development! The way she transferred from a soft spoken, awkward girl into someone willing to stand up for herself as well as others was so cool! I loved how she didn’t become petty in the end but let the chips fall where they may.

Her friends. 🙄🙄🙄 Seriously they are the worst and she’s better off now! Could not hate Leah more!

Her family! I loved the family dynamics and how messed up they were but how Louise tries to reconnect all of them. I loved how the ending wasn’t a happily ever ending but bitter sweet. Also I loved how Louise saw how she needed to change, it wasn’t just on her mom to be better but herself as well, they both needed to reach out. Really loved that message.

Now to Dylan! Where to even begin with this big hearted, slightly damaged, needs-a-hug-like-right-now boy! Gosh he’s so sweet, so caring and with each chapter you fall more and more in love with him!!

Finally to Luke, honestly I wished the ending with him was him being put in jail because he’s literally awful and deserves to be behind bars. Bummed about that, but at least he got kicked in the nuts, though an added punch would have been nice as well.

All in all crazy ride and was really curious how it would all turn out!

My Backward Life is Claire Merle's fourth novel. This author enjoys writing fantasies for young adults. I can tell by the exquisite narrative of this book.
Louise Doors attends a concert with her friends on Friday night, but something happened that Friday. The last thing she remembers is that she was going home from the concert, and then she woke up and it was already Thursday morning. She doesn't remember anything she has done that week. The only thing that she knows is that her life is upside down, and that everything she knew has changed.
This book captivated me just by reading the first pages. It is the first novel that I read by this author and the truth is that I was pleasantly surprised! I love her writing, I find it very fresh, since she knows how to get an atmosphere of reality even if it is a fictional story. The plot is very original and well developed.
The protagonist tells it in the first person. But at the same time, she has a lot of interaction with the rest of the characters. The dialogues between them are very illuminating. They allowed me to understand better the essence of the book.
It is an ideal book for young adults or adults who enjoy simple and action-packed youth stories.
I recommend it. It is a very fast and easy read to have a good relaxing time.

My Backward Life follows Louise who wakes up after she collapses only to find that six days have gone by, the story then deals with the events of the six days in reverse order.

I liked the writing style of the book and the characters especially the main character in the book. One thing I did find weird was that the main character easily accepted her situation, of the reversing days and the six day gap and was not freaked out that much. Aside from that, I really enjoyed the story and pace of the story. I did find it weird that in each day there was not much going on, maybe one important plot point and so the days went fast however near the end the character lives through the days again but in a chronological order which was done in a way that was not repetitive or boring.

I did find the friendships and the romance in the book cute and did like the side characters in the story, I felt they were well written and there was enough of their presence in the book to impact the story. However, the love interest makes a comment which was sort of victim blaming which I did not expect from his character.

After a night out with friends, Louise Doors wakes up to discover its six days later. She has absolutely no recollection of those six days but does come to find out that her parents are getting divorced, her friends all seem to hate her and a random guy is somehow now involved in her life. As she tries to find out exactly what has happened, Louise realises she’s reliving each of those missing days in reserve order and working her way back to the last day she can remember.

I was intrigued when I first read the blurb, it reminded me a little of Before I Fall (which I enjoyed) so I decided to give it a go.
I was slightly confused with the timeline at first but it didn’t take long to realise what was happening. I read the whole book in one sitting, although it was somewhat predictable at times, I was eager to see how it turned out.

I found the ending to be a little rushed but overall I think My Backward Life is a well written book with an intriguing plot and a great mix of characters, some of which were definitely flawed but very realistic.

My Backward Life: A Time Loop Romance is a science fiction book written for a general audience by Claire Merle, British author. This one is her fourth novel.
The story is about love, friendship and second chances. The protagonist is Louise, a teenager who fainted and woke up a week later finding her life a little different than it was before.
The writing is on point, with no errors and the dialogues flow smoothly through all the reading. I loved the main characters as well. There were even some moments that wowed me. The plot of the book is much different than I expected by looking at the cover and name. I was expecting a fantasy book but got a marvelous science fiction tale.
While it is a long book (340 pages) mystery lovers should definitely check it out, the 33 chapters will undoubtedly fulfill your expectations. Each one is more exciting than the last one, but if I have to choose one I would say that my favorite is the last one, but all of the parts are full of twists and turns that will keep you at the edge of your seat, biting your nails.
It is a very fascinating and addictive masterpiece to read.

Louise Doors is going backwards - literally. When she wakes up 6 days after an eventful night, just about everything in her life is different, and it's up to her to piece together why. As she lives each previous day in reverse order, she gains clues into what really happened to her - and maybe even a chance to make things right.

This YA book reminded me a lot of Before I Fall due to the non-linear timeline. Although the beginning didn't grab me, I found myself hooked once Louise started to piece together more of the puzzle. Her interactions with Dylan were really fun to watch, and I enjoyed their friendship and flirting. This is definitely a coming of age story - Louise learns a ton about herself, her friends, and her family - and her growth made the story compelling to me. The ending was very satisfying too. My only complaint is that the writing felt a bit frenetic at the beginning - maybe this was supposed to mirror Louise's confusion, but it made it a little hard for me to get into the story at first.

I would like to thank the Netgalley website and Snow Horse Press for allowing me to read this book.

I was immediately attracted by the beautiful cover of this book where we see Louise still dressed on her bed.

The only thing Louise Doors remembers is that she collapsed on the way home from a concert and that a man saved her life. Except that six days later she woke up at home and not in the hospital and that life has turned out well since then. Her best friends don't like her anymore, she hangs out with a girl she doesn't know and a boy gives her a letter. And Dylan is the man who saved her life.

Louise is going to find out what happened while she was away because it's happening again, but this time in reverse. Each day that passes she learns a little more about her family and friends and she gets closer and closer to the famous Dylan. She hopes to find a normal life again soon and especially did not hope to fall in love, she will finally be able to trust herself.

A book read in one go so much I was hooked on the story so gripping, addictive, captivating, full of intrigue and suspense with characters always so endearing.

“My backward life” is a compelling story written by Claire Merle, a British author. The main character of the novel is a girl, called Louise. After attending a party, Louise faints and she wakes up almost 6 days later. Why is everything messed up? Why does her friends hate her? Louise wants to figure out what happened. When reliving those 6 days backwards, she is confused, but she meets the boy who saved her, Dylan. As days move on she discovers surprising revelations of her family and friends.

What an amazing novel! This mystery, time travel novel is a masterpiece. I really enjoyed reading it. I was glued to the pages, I couldn’t put it down. In my opinion, the twists and turns of this novel makes it the only one of its kind. Claire Merle did an amazing job portraying Louise´s life, and the way in which she faced her problems. Moreover, this novel deals with relevant teenage problems ranging from eating disorders to divorce. This is the first time I read a book from Claire Merle, but it will certainly not be the last one. I highly recommend this novel.

In My Backward Life, Louise Doors collapses on the street and wakes six days later, confused about the strange turn her life has taken in the interim. Even stranger, she lives her life in reverse for those six days, not knowing what she will face when she gets back to point zero.

Written for the young adult market, this novel is a unique and engaging read that could appeal to many different age groups. Difficult to put down, it was entertaining to try to figure out what would happen next (or before) and to witness the moral predicaments the main character faced and the lessons she learned from them. The characters and settings are very well-described, giving the reader a real sense of connection to the people and place. As I read, I imagined how this story would make an excellent movie. This novel should be on everyone’s to-read list.

Sublime Line: “An outstanding, mind-twisting read, filled with intrigue, excitement, romance, and fun.”

This was a compelling read from start to finish! I honestly couldn't put it down, desperate to know what will happen next (or technically before?) in the protagonist's life. I was very intrigued by the reverse timeline and joining the dots became all the more exciting as a result.

My only qualm was the jarring use of American English spelling conventions when the story is set in England, but at least the writing seems mostly consistent in usage (I was too engrossed in the story to fully focus on that, but the Americanisms really jumped out at me personally). This juxtaposition of American English spelling conventions and British setting did not affect my enjoyment of the plot nonetheless.

Overall, I would ideally give this book somewhere between 4.5 and 5 stars as it's a really enjoyable, unique, and contemporary book which will keep you hooked! Would definitely recommend:)

What a wonderful concept, travelling backwards one day at a time, from the future. I normally avoid books about time travel after studying it at Uni. I spend any time travel movie shouting at the screen and ruining it for everyone. But this works. Not only is it a really good idea, but it's probable too within the laws do physics. I love the uncertainty too, the not knowing whether Louise will die, and the teenage angst of being torn between wanting to be a better person and help others, and the knowledge that your own happiness might have to be sacrificed. This is really well written, has a good pace and is relatable to teens. Haven't we all wanted to tell someone what we think of them but stopped because we are scared of the consequences?
My only niggle, the ending. I was waiting for a sudden twist and had the Kleenex on hand. Not a real issue, just my opinion. Definitely worth a read.

My Backward Life definitely stands out from the rest since the sequences of events present in this story are not portrayed in the way we are used to, we would be learning what happens but from the end to the beginning, that is to say backwards. What a great way of writing a story!
The plot revolves around Louise, a girl who after attending a gig on Friday night wakes up on Thursday morning but of the following week and wants to know what happened during those 6 days. Will she discover so?
Merle’s writing style in this book is just amazing; the way the details unfold and the way the characters are depicted are on point. Even though readers would have to concentrate and follow the story the other way around, the narrative is easy to follow through and the language used is clear and simple.
I particularly recommend it to teenagers or young adults, but I am pretty sure adults would enjoy it as much as them. A must read!

A great story to read at the edge of your comfortable sofa.

When I first took a look at the cover of the book, I felt interested in the reading. 'My Backward Life: A Time Loop Romance' turned out to be a great adult fantasy novel worth reading. It was written by the English author, Claire Merle.
The story revolves around a teenager, Louise Doors who goes to a gig and after that she collapses. The only thing she remembers is being saved by a boy. Six days later, she is again at her home with a memory loss. Quite a strange and weird feeling!
In a nutshell, this novel held my attention because of the turns and twists the story has. It is well-written and each character is complex and well-developed, too. The story is so absorbing that it was difficult to put it down. While I was reading, I felt immersed into the characters' minds and decisions. I loved Claire´s writing style. It is exquisite. I definitely recommend this novel.

Imagine waking up one day to find that you have missed six days of your life 😳. And to add to the confusion everything is happening in reverse 🤯. That's exactly what happens with Louise Doors when she wakes up with the memory of partying with friends, collapsing and a boy saving her life on a Friday night.
.
To add to the already bewildered state, her friends have drifted apart from her, her parents are getting divorced and she is falling for a boy she barely knows.
.
My Backward Life is contemporary YA genre book and I must say a very different and interesting one. The changing timelines did confuse me towards the beginning but as the book proceeded, everything started falling in place.
.
Amidst all the confusion, Louise learns to be herself and not just conform to other people's expectations which is an extremely important life lesson.
.
Absolutely loved the way the book is written with so many puzzling details which gradually make a complete picture.
.
Recommend it ✅

I was NOT expecting to love this as much as I did!! Definite “five stars and I want to own a hard copy” territory. It’s honestly so incredibly well put together, and packs so much in. The romance is also actually really, really brilliant and the depiction of friendships and family is incredibly nuanced. Lots of brilliant characters, too - the main character, Louise, is so ballsy and has SUCH good character development. Unsurprised this is in another case of a Wattpad author made good - the romance slightly gives me feels of Riley and Alec in A Bad Boy Stole My Bra.

Content warnings: Bulimia, sexual assault + predatory behaviour against minors, difficult family relationships, depression + some suicide ideation. All of which I think is handled quite well.

One of the best books I've read lately.
The writing was so easy to breeze through and the story captures your interest from the get go. The suspense form start to finish and the need of knowing what comes next makes it really difficult to put down.
I love the characters and their development throughout the book. I found the dynamic between Louis and Chrissy very interesting and the closure between them is a very good way to explore and touch on the fact that sometimes people just grow apart and is okay. Definitely in love with Dylan and the process of knowing who he is, twice; and forever hating the Lukes of the world. A books that truly deserves the time you spent on it. Tens across the board.
