Wear·y /ˈwirē/
Adjective: feeling or showing tiredness
Verb: cause to become tired.

Kori Purdue was weary and had been for some time. Her life was no longer familiar to her, and she was doing everything possible to get back on track. In the midst of her stepping into her new normal, Lexington Marshall shows up looking exactly like everything she should stay away from.

Marsh was a man on a mission to build a life for him and his legacy. His plans for his future were laid out in detail and ready to be put into practice. Nothing would stop him from getting from one point to the next. Nothing except Ms. Kori Purdue. And he didn’t even see her coming.

What happens when these two individuals have to deviate from the life they think they’ve built that will protect them from all outsiders or anyone who wasn’t part of the plan?

In Weary No More, we get to witness Kori and Marsh discover that even the best-laid plans can be thwarted when something greater is waiting for you on the other side.

Weary No More is a standalone novella.

Great Read!

This was a great, quick read! How Marsh & Kori came together was so random, but I love how all the pieces for together for them. They clearly were exactly what the other needed in that space in time. Kori needed to know she could love & be loved again and enjoy being a part of a family unit. Marsh needed a companion and lover and both he and Belle needed a woman's influence in their family unit. I enjoyed seeing Kori's journey from brokenness to healthy and happy and thriving. Her life wasn't perfect, but she certainly ended in a whole place, full of hope and promise for her future. I also enjoyed both sets of friends, especially Job & Toby, they were hilarious! This was a wonderful book from start to finish!

Kori and Marsh made an impression on me that most characters can't in a short story. I fell head over heels when they connected for the very first time. There's something electrifying when a man takes charge and Marsh embodies that. I love that he's a man who knows what he wants.
Kori accepting the course of their relationship was welcoming since I find a lot of heroines being resistant due to their past. She handles personal issues from the beginning and I can appreciate that.
I hate short stories because I usually want more but this book satisfied my craving of the two. It was actually a complete story from the start to finish. I do hope to maybe hear from them in other books but if not, I hope to get more stories from you Twyla B!

First of more to come

I think this was my first book by the author, I'll have to retreat and read the Champions series in light of the pleasure in reading this story.
Marsh and Kori had a uniquely special arrangement that became a much needed relationship for both of them. I liked them as a couple, and I loved his sweet Belle.... A good story. I'll watch for this author's next releases.

Weary No More Indeed!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I can relate to Kori and so many ways. Her story struck close to home, causing me to reflect on my own changes over the last 4 years. I enjoyed the role reversal, seeing Marsh as a single father trying to raise his 12 year old daughter, the best way possible. It was nice when he and Kori finally came together, and made their own version of happy ever after. This book was definitely worth my time and money. I hope the author comes out with a part 2. If so I will definitely pre-order!

Wow

The full circle moment took by surprise but it was necessary. While this was a novella and the timelines needed to be pushed, I really wanted to see more from Marsh and Kori’s bonding. However, I do love them together. Definitely would love to see a part two! This was my first read by the author and definitely won’t be my last.
