A beautiful informative book on Helsinki architecture. The photos and explanations about the development of various buildings and areas are very well researched. The background of the various architects and the commissioners of the different buildings gave an interesting context to the architecture, especially the ornamentation that is so critical distinguishing feature in Art Nouveau Architecture. The photography and architectural plans are really beautifully illustrated.
The book is written in Finnish, so I had to read the book entirely using Google Lens (on my smartphone) to OCR, overlay in augmented reality and translated from Finnish to English. It was an interesting experience.
