Read the complete adventures of Trinity and Leo in Ascension Saga, Volume 1 (Books 1-3).
A princess. A soldier. A destiny neither could ever imagine. Leoron of Alera returns home from the Hive wars determined to protect the capital city--and last bastion of a vanished Queen's reign--from civil war. Loyal to the bone, Leo answers the call from Prime Nial and vows to protect at any cost three unknown females arriving from Earth.
But the simple soldier is unprepared for the shock of desire that brings him to his knees at first sight of Trinity Jones. Nothing makes sense as Leo fights friend and foe alike, and discovers the woman stealing his heart has a destiny beyond anything he could have imagined.
Welcome to the Interstellar Brides® all new Ascension Saga and the planet Alera, where women from Earth not only find their mates, but fight to rule the world.
Although I was put off by the Interstellar Brides subtitle, that is not a big part of the story. I really enjoyed the adventure and the way the MCs had to resist the overwhelming sexual imperatives. The blatant sexuality and copious swearing was lots of fun. Plus these women can kick ass.
This is the first in a trilogy, and it is plotted well to reach the end of the first phase. Not a jarring cliffhanger, more of a "come back next week to find out what our heroes do next."
This is just the beginning. Grace starts us with a Queen leaving her home planet and hiding some very important information from everyone. She is running for her life as well as her baby after her mate has been killed. This is a short background of what is to come.
Trinity; Part 1
So we are getting the queens 3 daughters story now. We start with Trinity. The queen has hidden herself and her children on earth. But that has all now come to an end when the queen is taken and now the daughters have to go back to her planet and find her. Trinity meets Leo who is in charge of keeping her and her sisters safe. When they meet sparks fly and things turn deadly. I will say that I find it unusual that Grace turned these shorter stories into individual books. Usually, she just does one novel size book. But I enjoyed this story either way.
Trinity; Part 2
So this is the second book of the three for Trinity. She is a very strong character and deserves her props for being in the middle of a whole new world for herself. She has grown up with her mother telling her what to do if anything like this should ever happen, but to be in the middle of it is totally different. Leo is a strong male counterpart. But he thinks himself not worthy of her, with his past and the things he has done he thinks Trinity is too pure for his love. Will she be strong enough to fight her enemies and to show Leo that he is exactly what she wants. Great second book.
Trinity; Part 3
So the 3rd book starts exactly where we ended in the 2nd book. We finally get the ending to Trinity's story but we pick up for Faiths book. Trinity is still trying to find out who is out to kill her and her sisters. Her mother is still out there somewhere kidnapped and Trinity is still nowhere near finding out who is good or bad. Now that they are having a ball maybe she will get a better sense who is for her and against her to become the newest queen. Good story, I gave it five stars for the story. But again I would wait for these stories to come out as a bundle to pay for them. I do not like reading broken up stories like Grace has decided to do. Unless they are duets or full-length stories and they have to be broken up.
Sci-fi ROMANCE at its BEST! A superbly sensuous and erotic romance, and a certain MUST-BUY! The way that Grace Goodwin writes her superbly descriptive and sensuous prose hooked this reader/reviewer within the first paragraph of the Prequel to this AMAZING “ASCENSION SAGA!” “TRINITY” is the first Volume of the “ASCENSION SAGA,” and tells the story of Trinity’s romance with Knight Leo. However, there is so much more in this first volume of the “ASCENSION SAGA” than their STEAMY mating to read about and swoon over! Might I also suggest that readers clear the calendar for the next several hours with a glass of wine (or water if you prefer) and dive in? Beyond the reading prep, what prospective readers need to know is how easily Goodwin’s smooth pose will capture a reader’s imagination. Add to this how rapidly the dual narration or alternating voice between the heroine and hero of “TRINITY” will endear the characters to a reader’s heart, it is no surprise that readers begin rooting for their future happiness early on. Prospective readers should also know that the intensely complex, action-packed, and compelling plotline will pull them out of their world and take them inside the matriarchal world of Aleran! So, settle back, and enjoy the emotional ride through the life of a real Sci-fi princess! Readers should be aware that Trinity is No Disney Princess, nor are her sisters, Faith and Destiny, Disney-like; except that they are all three strong, intelligent women who know what they want, what they need to do, and are determined to make their plan succeed. Their mother’s life depends upon their success. It is my sincere hope that you will fall in love with these sister Princesses of Aleran as I did! I voluntarily read an ARC copy of “TRINITY” and this is my honest review and 5+STAR recommendation! As a practice, I do not give more than 4½ stars to a novella, but the “ASCENSION SAGA,” no matter what VOLUME, no matter what number the Book, is just too good to limit! “TRINITY” is now live and for sale on Amazon. I STRONGLY suggest you purchase and then read this wonderful first part of the “ASCENSION SAGA” today! Happy Pages! 😉
I really enjoyed this one! It pulled me in from beginning to end and pretty much starts with a bang with the three sisters getting ready to transport to Alera in order to find their kidnapped mother. Their mother is the Queen of Alera but when her husband is murdered in front of her and she is able to escape with 2 trusted guards before they can kill her as well, she runs to Earth to hide out and raise her daughter but always with the plan to come back. It has now been 27 years and she has the daughter she was pregnant with, Trinity, as well as 2 more, Faith and Destiny, and they have a plan to root out the traitors and conspirators and find and save their mother. Leo is called in by Prime Nial to help protect the women and he is awakened by Trinity and immediately knows she is his mate. He knows there is more going on but the women are not talking but their are assassins after them and they are dealing with Trinity's ardor as well. Then it becomes clear that they are royalty and the sisters split up with different plans and Trinity is front and center with the attention and being the princess holding her mom's throne and trying to find the assassin and traitor and they definitely have some work cut out for them. I really enjoyed the way that Trinity and Leo built their relationship and learned about each other in the midst of everything going on and finding the balance of Trinity being strong and independent and determined while Leo wants to protect her and keep her safe. They have to balance her being the princess and needing to keep her sisters safe and locate her mom and the traitors while allowing Leo to protect her and be there for her and have input. I can't wait for the next one and seeing what the other two sisters have gotten into. The narrator did a good job with the story as well and bringing the characters to life and the action that was happening.
I seem be love almost anything Grace Goodwin writes, she knows her audience!
The book started off with 3 mid 20’s sisters whose mother was apparently a queen but she left her home plant pregnant after her husband was murdered.
The mother was kidnapped in the middle of the night on earth and the sisters went to the warden from the brides program for help and she got them in contact with the high commander & they came up with a plan to try to find their mom.
The men from the planet are very interesting since they literally can never get “hard” before ever meeting their one true mate. It’s the first book I’ve ever read where most men are virgins and the women weren’t!
Shortly after arriving on the planet the sisters were attacked, a man that the high commander trusted saved them and ended up Beth’s elder sister’s mate.
They mated, he was kidnapped, she saved him. She split up from her sisters they all had tasks to do to flush out the bad guys. Trinity had to announce herself to everyone & there was a ball where she was almost taken.
Trinity & her 2 sisters all have a special power now after touching some family stones. Her’s brother s reading someone’s auras to know if they were good or bad. Her sisters were yet to find out.
It’s an interesting series so far, fun spice as always
This is a great series. Ascension Saga Book 3 Trinity’s story is fabulous. I was so excited to see the conclusion of her story. This series is so unique and creative. I like all the details and political moves that are intertwined in the romances. They don’t overwhelm the story but they definitely enhance it. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Ascension Saga Book 2 Wow, wow, wow how cool are these stories. Loved that we got to visit with characters from the previous series and yet this is definitely its own story. I so can’t wait to see how this all comes together. There are so many pieces in play. This is an exciting and adventurous book. Looking forward to the next one.
Ascension Saga Book 1 I loved this new series and premise. The world building is phenomenal and the characters are really kickass. I liked how strong each female is in their own way. Leo is such a grumbly alpha male who has his hands full with Trinity and her sisters. I wasn’t fond of the cliffhanger ending but at least the next book is out.
This saga in part one of 3. Very good. Its actually 3 smaller books included in one saga. This saga is about Leoron of Alera, who arrives home from the hive wars only to find the queen vanished during the civil war. He promises to protect, at any cost, 3 unknown females from earth. When he meets the females, one, Trinity Jones brings him to his knees, as she is his fated mate. Try telling that to Trinity and find out what happens. Trinity and her 2 sisters are the children of the vanished Queen. Trinity had been raised to take the throne. Very good story line here. I will have to delve into the other 2 sister's stories to see where this tale ends. Great action, intrigue, passion. Highly recommend.
Strong kick ass females in this series continuation from book 1 which left on a cliffhanger, catch up with Trinity, Leoron and her sisters as they continue the search for their mom. As come to expect from this author this is another addictive series but as left with a cliffhanger desperately awaiting the completion of Trinity and Leoron's story, as always love the work of this author. Was offered this book as an ARC for an honest review, lives up to my opinion of this author totally awesome work.
I really enjoyed it. It has enough scie ce fiction to be interesting, a ton of spice as our fmc is in a kinf of alien heat in the beggining, and thwrese drama and conspiracies too. Trinity is actually not human, but there is a entirely too long explanation to it. So listen to the story instead. Ends on a cliffhanger, and apart from satiating her heat not much more happens and not alot is discovered. Hope next book gives us more. Great narration.
I really enjoyed this first book of the trilogy. The world is incredible and the circumstances that bring three sisters to this new, unexplored world is well, definitely unusual, their mom is kidnapped and taken by....well, that's what the three sisters are there to find out.
Knowing that there is more to the story, I wasn't deterred by the lack of details since more were certainly coming.
Also.....beware the cliffhanger! Have book 2 ready!
A well written page turner You are drawn into the book from the first page. Queen Celene of Alera has been hiding on Earth. Somehow they found and kidnapped her. Trinity and her twin sisters Faith and Destiny go to Alera looking to find and save their mother but someone knows who they are and tries to kill them. Warning, ends on a cliffhanger...
Politics always gets in the way. It all starts with a kidnapping of a lost Queen and gets messy and sexy, well except for the misogyny of the Aleran males who can't seen to help themselves.
DNF at about 65%. I really tried to get through the audiobook but found it couldn’t hold my interest longer than half an hour at a time. The plot was ok, the characters all right, I think in the end it was just too long and too boring.
Sure, it’s alien smut, but Grace Goodwin does it well here - there’s even a PLOT!!! Good writing, fairly solid characters, and lots of action (both in the bedroom and out).
But she allowed me to touch her anyway, with these scarred, bloody hands. I was the monster guarding the gate, a trained killer, but I was her monster. I served Mytikas. I served the citadel and Queen Celene. But above all, I served Trinity now.
