Lunchtime Chronicles: Taste Test was written by USA Today Bestselling & Multi-Award Winning Author Xyla Turner
Coy: She scratched my car because I took up two spots. That was a six-figure vehicle and because she had a whole temper tantrum, I had to bear the consequences. Not happening. She would pay and I had other ideas of what she could scratch.
Yadira: He was arrogant, wealthy and thought the world was his oyster. Therefore, his indecent proposal was a 'hell no.' Until it started to get more appealing. He wanted me to taste test him out, but I stick to what I know. Well, before I went and scratched his car up, of course.
This is an IR novella in the Lunchtime Chronicles Serial with Siera London, Olivia Gaines and Reana Malori.
Xyla Turner was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She has always been a writer, even as a teenager, she wrote short stories and essays that won awards and nation-wide competitions. Xyla is an avid reader of romance novels and a sucker for sassy females and dominant males. She is a lifelong learner, High School Vice-Principal and a pretty good Auntie. Outside of reading, Xyla likes to spend time with her family and friends, experiment with dangerous adventures and travel. She writes different genres, but her favorite is romance.
Coy is a rich guy being set up by his mom, and Yadira is the sassy woman that keyed his car when he was a douche. I was missing some of their connection, but Taste Test was a quick, sexy, fun read.

Love the length, like tapas. Love getting straight to the point, like desert first. Love the grown up situation, like meat with potatoes and no salad. I like the maturity of the characters. Great read
I liked that financially Coy and Yadira were comfortable in their own right and very invested in family, community and professions. The sex...just too much over the top raunchy nonsense and for me a total turnoff. Besides that nonsense they seem perfectly matched and off to a good start.
I love Coy’s attitude and personality. He was direct and to the point. All alpha he was. I would have like to see him more sexually dominant. The BDSM was mild. Yadira was great. She stood up for herself with Coy. I just hate that it ended so soon. I was getting into Coy and Yadira and bam! Its over.
I really enjoyed Coy and Yadira. A Desperate Housewives move gets the offender a date. Okay, not a date perse. More a sentence to repay the debt in flesh. Best deal ever made! Sassy and sexy. Reduced stars for the editing. The book is entirely too short for the errors made.
… could have done without so much needless cursing. The male Character was sexy with all the right accoutrements. The female lead, as with the rest of the chicks in this series so far, is broken, has issues, etc… it gets on the nerves but the spice of it all heats up the action!
Coy is sneaky and lowdown but knows how to read Yadira a d that makes the story delightful.
My issue is with his attitude and discisding his truth but he redeemed himself...Yadira truthfully needs to call him on his crap and then make sure he is on rhe same page as her.
These two arrogant characters bump heads immediately jump starting their story. Intense and sensual. I love that the concept of the chronicles, they get to the meat (heart and heat) of the matter and are perfectly satisfying for a quick fix.
I’m flying through these books and I love them 😍 short and sweet an right to the point they make you wish they were full books 📚 but I still get to enjoy them all the same
Coy and Yadira were a cute couple. I like the straightforward way Coy dealt with things. Yadira was a strong character and I definitely liked her for Coy. Nice read.
This book is fire and I wish there was more to read. I appreciate the short story but when it's a great read you just want more. Yadira and Coy just fit despite the original agreement.
His name is Coy, but believe you me, there is absolutely nothing Coy about the man. Dira, your fine “arse” got in trouble, big time. 😝 The Lunchtime Chronicles series is awesome 👏 I love it! Great read, Ms “Sweetness “!!
This was a short story I adored. The Lunchtime Chronicles grow on you! One read is never enough. Coy and Yadira started off as payback for a bad temper but found the chemistry was more than they both bargained for!
So each book has been interesting and stands on its own with some cross over characters which just keeps it all connected. This one was so good I am going to read the next book.
Wow The story will have you wanting more. Kind a wish the story was longer and told me a little bit more about the characters but it’s a beautiful story beautifully short and sexy story.
Too many talk a good game and can’t back it up. Coy and Yadira clashed in almost a very good way. One misparked expensive vehicle. One one with a very hot temper and a set of keys. One wedding. A mama. A aunt. A safe word. A few taste test. A spark.
This was really a good story! Two bold people testing each other, both passed the test! Now, what is next? Because it ended with both seeming interested in taking things to another level! Hope it tastes even better than excellent when they get there!
What an interesting way for an life-changing introduction to happen. I liked the introduction to family which gives more meaning to me. Worth the read.
goolsbyl1962@gmail.comI enjoy reading different type books. All of the lunch time chronicles has got me hook. I would like to read some lunchtime chronicles
What started as a "business" agreement led to mind blowing sex and a permanent relationship. She scratched his car, he insisted on a date as repayment for repairs.
Beautiful story! He found someone crazier then him and he loved it! She found someone that would love her just the way she is! His auntie and mom are hilarious!
