Hot and Steamy read...
...that I hit in one sitting.
Once bitten, twice shy, professional Ball player Levi Montgomery had tried a solid relationship and was kicked to the kerb by a deceitful woman, leading him back to his party hard ‘player’ ways, which worked for him until he spies a beautiful blonde sitting with her friend in Buck’s Bar, their favourite watering hole. He’s looking hard, she’s interested, and holy crap, the heat and chemistry between them pretty much ramped to high immediately.
As an Engineer, Rowan Landry is a strong character and I absolutely admired her hard work ethic and internal confidence in herself and her professional abilities. Because I went into the Engineering sector in the 1980’s, I’m familiar with her struggles to be taken seriously and with the initiatives to encourage women into Engineering and Science, I connected with her straight away. She knows her own value, and because she wants to advance professionally, she’s not interested in any kind of relationship, or into one night stands either, until... she sees the gorgeous ball player who is looking hard in her direction.
Woo hoo, this book contains everything that makes a sports romance one of my favourite tropes: hot focused professional ‘player’, sassy, bad-arse chick, a load of witty interactions between all characters and a whole heap of steam between our leads.
Rowan and her sister Gabbi, Levi and his teammates were all solid enjoyable gorgeous characters, making Top Notch a great lead into Nicole Richards new series. 4.5 Stars

This book piqued my interest to begin with because sports romance novels are hands down my favourite books to read. So going in blind with a new to me author I was quietly confident I would at least finish the book with a smile on my face.
Yeah, a smile is too tame a word for how I felt not only at the end but also the beginning and middle. Levi & Rowan's chemistry is off the charts H.O.T!! Right away I could feel the sizzle between them and it only grew from there. It is what I love most about the romance books I pick to read.
But the other thing I like to read in my romance books is a damn good storyline. Nicole has achieved this in spades. Add in some great minor characters - who I hope end up with their own stories - and I really cannot recommend this book enough.

With her first book in a couple of years Nicole hits this one out of the park!

Levi doesn’t believe in love after being burned by a previous girlfriend, enter Rowan.
Rowan works as a engineer and is rising in the ranks hoping to land her dream job in California.
From the moment Levi and Rowan being interacting sparks start to fly.
But what happens when Rowan has a secret from the start that can tear the two apart.
Will Levi be able to believe in love again? Or will he be shown that women can not be trusted?
I highly suggest giving Too Notch a chance and see where Rowan and Levi will take you.

Oh my!! I love this author's work and this is my favorite to date!! Levi and Rowan will steal your hearts. He had given up on finding love until Rowan snuck into his heart. Rowan was a strong independent woman with dreams and goals. The chemistry between these two is tangible. This book is a real page turner and once you start you won’t be able to stop.

Love this! A strong, smart and successful female character, a bad boy baseball player, of course you can see where this is going but there’s many bumps and twists along the way. There’s frustration, anger, love, sadness, sexy times. This book has a little of everything with some great side characters too! Really enjoyed this book.

5 HOME RUN STARS!! This is my favorite book of the year so far!! Give me a sexy baseball player (just look at the cover) and a feisty beautiful woman and you have hit. Levi and Rowan will check all your boxes for the perfect romance love story. Their chemistry is off the charts and the feels will give you tingles. This was my first book by Nicole Richard and I am excited to read more by her. You definitely need to read this book.

This is a new author to me but my word, I will certainly be looking out for her work in the future. Levi and Rowan’s story is a beautifully written tale with undeniable chemistry. I was captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I highly recommend for all readers.

Otay so this one started slow for me I didnt really get into for awhile. Levi got screwed over by hos ex that he never really loved. I love that Rowan and Levi met in a bar while out cepebrating and from there chemistry just flowed. As there each working to over come there own issues we learn even more about them and grow attached to them. There story has some drama as they try to find there new normal so they can get there HEA.

I loved everything about this book, Levi and Rowan were outstanding. She’s spunky, sassy and feisty and Levi, well he’s sex on a stick and they have amazing chemistry which makes for an amazing story. This was my first read by this author and won’t be my last. I received a copy of this book.

This was a fast fun read that left the reader wanting more! This story was well written, left the reader wanting more and left the reader with a book hangover that rivals all book hangovers...the characters are fun, compelling and leave the reader feeling like they are friends.

I loved the chemistry between these two and the fact they weren't perfect.
A new author for myself and I will definitely read more of her work. I'm looking forward to reading Gabby & Hatch's book.

This book was great.
I loved the playfulness, the sweetness, the sexiness; and the inevitable heartbreak and drama that comes alongside all of that.
The absolute best part was the reconciliation 😍 I had a hunch it would end the way it did. It was so cute!

Top Notch is my first book by Nicole Richards and it was sweet, charming and oh so hot!
Levi Montgomery, star first baseman for the Atlanta Bucks, is pretty anti-relationships, ever since being betrayed by his ex-girlfriend. Enter Rowan Landry, a woman who sweeps him off his feet and makes him question everything he thinks he knows about love. However, when as secret is revealed which could threaten Levi's place on the team, will he risk it and be with Rowan or are they doomed from the start? And if they do get together, will other life choices get in the way?
I loved seeing how Levi and Rowan's relationship blossomed as they got to know each other, and opened up. Their chemistry was off the charts and the scenes where things got hot and heavy were explosive.
The only thing that frustrated me was how Levi behaved in some situations, in some ways it was quite immature and I thought that he would've surely tried to see it from her point of view and not reacted the way he did. He should have supported her and not just thought about him. I thought the twist was kind of unnecessary, so that's why I knocked one star off, but I was happy they got their HEA.
This is a good sports romance with a twist and I enjoyed reading it!

I am a sucker for a good sports romance!!! Even better when it's a baseball sports romance!!! And this one knocked it out of the park!!! Levi and Rowans story was great!!! I loved their chemistry and their banter with each other!! Can't wait for the next book!!!

Nicole Richard hit this one out of the park!!! Yeah I know I am probably not the first one to use that saying but there is no other way to put it. It has been a little while since she has published a book and she has come back with a bang!!. I love a sports romance; it is probably one of my favorite genres to read. Ms. Richard completely nailed this one. I loved the story, the characters and just everything about this book.

I loved this book. I was sucked in from the moment I started reading and could not put it down. I loved the chemistry between Levi and Rowan. The hot professional athlete falling for the smart, nerdy girl. It was perfect!! They had undeniable chemistry, a romance that was sweet and sexy filled that was at times a little emotional, with just the right amount of drama. And the ending was just so fantastic and fit them perfectly. I loved that there was a connection between Levi and the characters in Ms. Richards other books and we get to see some of them as well. I cannot wait for the next book in this series!!!! A must read!

New to me author,she didn’t disappoint. Loved this book! Looking forward to the next one.. Levi is a pro baseball player. Rowen a female engineer. They got together for a one night stand but there was a bit more to be explored between them. I suggest reading this and finding out what happens. I received an advance copy for my honest review.

Professional baseball player, Levi Montgomery was hurt by a deceitful woman, who burned him so badly, he went back to his playboy ways, determined to stay out of relationships. It's going well, until he spies a beautiful blond, who catches his interest instantly, at he & his teammates favorite bar. Rowan Landry is a hard working Engineer who has a fantastic work eithic, and definitely knows her worth. That was so refreshing to me, a heroine, is fine with who she is, even in a so called man's industry. However, she's not a one night stand kind of girl, until she lays eyes on Levi, and their instant chemistry is close to burning the bar down. You already know that it's exactly that type of chemistry which won't be denied for any length of time, and even though it started out as a hookup, said chemistry is gunning for them to repeat it over & over again. Not only did these two have some amazing interactions, but the secondaries only added more goodness to the story. So, will this smart, beautiful blonde girl heal the baseball player's heart?! Le sigh 🤭 Is it just me or sometimes when you're really into a book, you just wish it would go on and on and on not wanting it to end? That's how I felt reading this book. Yes, the couple had problems talking to each other yet for me they more than make up for it by the love and passion this 2 have for each other. Can I have Levi please?
