Spectacular read that lives up to the hype. Anti-hero, non-human MC. Humorous, well-crafted story. Lots of world and character development. Definitely look forward to more.
Sci-fi, superheroes.
Read up to #44 installment.

It's early days, but this is so far the best superhero novel I have read. Tofu is an interesting and unique character and learning about the world as he does from his warped perspective is more than a little entertaining. His power also enables him enormous growth potential, and seeing him grow both mentally and physically is incredibly compelling. Worm by Wildbow could not hook me anywhere near as much as Super Minion at equivalent points in the story. I cannot wait for more.

Super fun read. I really enjoyed the perspective of a non-human protagonist. I try to read the latest chapter as soon as it has been released. The story feels like a slice of life. Just a character trying to survive in a world made up of powered individuals, mutants, and regular people. I would say this story is not white or black but runs around in the grey area making it much more realistic to me.

This story is really interesting, it sort of reminds me of a cross between Threadbare and Worm. I've liked it thus far, but before the most recent chapters it had been devolving into more of a slice of life genre (while still being pretty excellent).
The recent chapters have rediscovered plot and looks like it could be something I really love. Unfortunately, the author is burned out and it's on a hiatus.

It's really fresh take on the whole supervillain and hero story. Most of its interesting interactions come from the main character. The character is not a human pretending to be one. Honestly a great read but sadly it seems to have been dropped at chapter 50 by the author for almost two years now. So I guess it's going to remain one of those stories that get left unfinished.

I swear I reviewed this previously...
This is why I now write my reviews on the computer before putting them on Goodreads, I guess.
Characters: very good, if I recall
World: not bad, if I recall
Story: interesting, if I recall

I've been in a bit of a slump with reading recently but this series was exactly what I needed. Clever, hilarious, brutal, great world building and surprisingly wholesome.
I hope the author continues the series when they're able to, it's definitely become one of my all time favorites.

This was pretty decent, although unfinished. I'd give it 4.25 stars for now.
I wish the world was explored a bit more. But perhaps we're still just early in the story.

It's a serial and ongoing, but at 62 chapters in, it's still lots of fun.

Loved it but heard it went on hiatus so I had to drop this:(

Humor is always a very personal perception so I know this might not be everyone's thing, but there's just something about a clueless, rational organism (without morality) to try and integrate into human society which made this such a worthwhile read. The often misunderstandings of both sides are outright hilarious and ambiguity is taken to a whole new level here. Also, the protagonist, our non-human organism lead, is noticing patterns in human nature and when questioned tries to portray these traits in a 'similar' fashion which lead to very strange expressions such as:
“My name is Tofu, my favorite food is tofu burgers, I am definitely eighteen years of age or older, I don’t like rats, or yellow-furred animals that have large claws, or guns that are pointed at me, and I like sugar, and rectangular objects just like everyone else. Can I have the donuts now?" (Chapter 22)
Often enough a lot of characters seem more down-to-earth and less comical, although there are exceptions of course. Something very notably is the lightheartedness towards supernatural incidents and death here (which is very reminiscent of Dorohedoro, a japanese Manga). The way people go about their way although some beast has been soaring through the streets just some hours earlier makes this experience even more surreal. So far, however, we don't know much about the world, I feel like some more exposition would greatly help the world feel more full, although a lot here is rather left in implications and small details for the reader to decipher.
I don't have much to complain so far, apart from some of the coincidences that happen but a story needs to roll somehow, this can be easily overlooked.
What I like is that this story isn't about hero vs villain, that is just a side aspect to let the protagonist shine, and oh boy, he does.
I worry that the author might not return from hiatus, no blaming, and that we might never see an ending to this but nonetheless, this was a lot of fun.
Thank You.
