Welcome to my Goodreads slice of the literary universe and thank you for visiting. I hail from the Crescent City, New Orleans, and grew up in Old Jefferson. Old Jefferson is on the east bank of the Mississippi River and is located just upriver of ‘uptown’ New Orleans. It’s a unique corner of the N.O. metropolitan area, as you'll see as you progress through the novels. It was only as I got older that I came to realize the significance that the river plays on my bio. Playing on the levee as a boy, working the maritime vessels as a young man, the shipyards, the bridges that span the Mississippi, and travelling the old River Road to my true love’s cottage each evening – this was the mold that formed the young man that Old Jefferson sent into the world. I’m long removed from the river ridge, settled with family in the rugged Appalachian foothills of North Alabama. I love the mountains with their gorgeous Autumn color and panoramic vista, but New Orleans and Old Jefferson will always live in me. I hope you enjoy the stories and feel welcome to ask questions, comment, and leave feedback and review. With best regards, David Myers
I have found my new favorite author. I couldn't put this book down, I read it in 24 hours. As I've said before in other reviews I've written about David Myers's books everything he writes is so good you don't want to stop reading. You want to know what is going to happen next. You feel like you know the characters and you have something invested in what happens to them. I love his writing and I can't wait for his next book. Thanks again for a great read Mr. Myers!
