This is a beautiful letter written by Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy to the Christians who met in the Grecian city of Thessalonica back in the first century. This study is intended to be a simple, straight from the text type of approach. For this study, I followed a specific format to keep on track and try to glean as much as I could from the text. This method is comprised of five steps, described First, we will read through the chapter we are studying. Second, we will pick a “key verse” from the chapter that is a good summary or main point from the chapter. This might also make a good verse or passage to memorize! Third, we will summarize and discuss each verse individually. Some verses only need a small summary, while others may need a paragraph of discussion. Fourth, we will reflect on the passage with some thoughts on what the concepts discussed might mean for us today. Fifth and finally, we will pray for a few specific things that we learned about from the lesson.
