Seven People Hide And Seek is a creepy, deeply unsettling suspense/detective mystery by Shinzo Mitsuda (one of my favorite Japanese mystery/horror novelists).
To be honest, it isn't Mr. Mitsuda's grandest works (in my opinion, House of Burial, Burial Of Snakes and Shrine of Hundred Snakes are his masterpieces), still Mr. Mitsuda once again frightens and surprises us with his dark, urban-legend-style of creepiness and suspense. I do like how the murder mystery is related to five main characters' innocent child play of hide and seek from nearly 30 years ago. However, I have to say the explanation of the murder mystery isn't strong enough in my eyes.
