Fear keeps Peyton Rivers rooted to her life in Spring, Texas. She believes music to be her future, but no matter how good she is, it feels like nothing more than a pipedream. Until a psychic gives her the push to audition for the headlining spot at the Spring Holiday Festival, only to realize it was going to be harder than she thought. Then a handsome stranger catches her eye. Something temporary with a stranger can take her mind off the competition, but the man she finds begins to feel anything but short term.



After high school, Tyler Wilcox set out to pursue his dream of making it in country music. Shea Brighton has immersed herself in the fictional worlds of her favorite authors for years, never thinking she'd join them in their story-telling journey. However, life leads you to places you weren't expecting. That's what happened to her a few years ago, and her writing pursuit began.

Shea makes her home in Virginia, having left her native New York years ago. You can usually find her watching some sporting event on TV (though baseball holds her heart), visiting a certain Mouse, winery hopping with her friends, or curled up with a book.

Book five of the Mystifying Music series and it just gets better with each new book, I hope there is more to come. This is series is done by different Authors. Peyton Rivers and Tyler Wilcox two people going nowhere with their music by themselves. Then they meet and Tyler gets her to sing on stage with him. I enjoyed reading their story. This is the 1st book I've read written by Shea Brighton; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

Felt very new adult,

Even though it’s not supposed to be.
She spent how many chapters looking for a fortune teller, her friend’s mom.

This book was beautiful. Reading about the struggles both Tyler and Peyton have gone through in the past and watching their story unfold made this worth the read.
