I have loved this series so much! Maddie is the best, except Aiden is also the best.

The first chapter sucked me in right away. I was filled with so much emotion, and it was oh so relatable. I also really liked Natalie. It was fun to see how the dynamic of the group shifted in this final book, and Natalie seemed to handle it with plenty of grace.

My favorite part of this book was when Maddie asked Aiden if he wanted to talk about a certain subject, and he says, "Not really." Then he runs off. I don't know why him avoiding the conversation was so funny to me, but I loved it. Of course, I loved it even more when they finally did have that conversation. *swoon*

I loved all the villains in this series. It was fun to see how they changed depending on the circumstances. I also loved the answers we finally got about the library. So cool!

Overall, this was a really amazing series, and I'm so glad I read it. :)

Ok. I thought I hated the first half and then I read the last half. The first half was her feeling sorry for herself while her friends all told her that she was awesome. The second half was the unresolved “resolution”. I had to go back and check that I didn’t miss anything. It felt like I had skimmed the ending…but no. The author is the one who skimmed the freaking ending!

To add insult to injury, Maddie never returned Aiden’s “I love you” even after they turned out to be soulmates. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Of Storms and Triumphs was a terrific conclusion to the Thunderbird Academy Trilogy! Lucky for me, and you, there are several more novels/series set in this fabulous world created by Lind and I cannot wait to explore them all.

Of Storms and Triumphs picks up shortly after the conclusion of Of Destiny and Illusions. Aiden has been taken by the sickness, like much of the school, and now lays in a coma. Maddy doesn’t know what else to do so she does the only thing she can think of and searches out the help of the Oracle. The Oracle offers Maddy a vial of miracle elixir that is suppose to be an “antidote” that will combat the sickness…but…it is only enough for one individual…Maddy can only save one person… and that is if she trusts the Oracle enough to give anyone this so called ”antidote”. Combine this with Maddy’s need to find her father, stop the Ancients, and the ever growing pull toward Aiden and she’s got a lot to deal with and so many difficult decisions to make. This story was extremely fast paced, battle filled, and harrowing. And it made me feel all the Feels—happiness, anger, anxiety, love, loyalty, dispair, and triumph—and it was utterly fantastic!

My favorite characters were, as always, Maddy and Aiden…but…let’s talk about some other amazing characters. I absolutely adored Liam! He was the best friend—loyal, caring, understanding and protective—that we all need and deserve in our lives and Lind couldn’t have written him any better. On a side note…Valia…is there any chance Liam gets his own story and his own romance sometime in the future?!?!?! Another two of my favorites were Ben and Owen. They were like two sides of one coin and they were absolutely lovely. Finally, I actually really enjoyed Natalie, the Alpha wolf suppose to marry Aiden. Although in the previous books she drove me absolutely bonkers, I really enjoyed her contributions in this book.

So, if you enjoy a fabulously written clean romance, with lots of interesting, completely intriguing and creative magic, a plethora of magical creatures, political intrigue, and a ton of amazing and compelling characters then I absolutely recommend the Thunderbird Academy! You won’t be disappointed!

Barley 3. Rather barley 2,5
Honestly?! I had difficulties to read this it was so so boringand annoying with so little asction that now Im even questioning mysef if its rather 1,5 rounded to two.
So… mostly thru this book there is minimal interaction between characters.. Even less action at all during the whole book.
Mostly its about the heroine feeling sorry for herself and for others. Wallowing where she failed then feeling strong again. Crying a lot. Fckng up everything then solving alone everything while wallowing thru the whole time!!!
Ahh why then rounded up to 3? There were two characters (fae just for you to know) that I really liked!!!! But thats all. Even un this book the all powerful alphaboy was made not so strong character…
Its really a shame as I very much enjoyed the first two…
You know what? I even did like much the ending so lets do a 2…. Im reall sad now… it had such a strong potential with excellent first two books… (wouldn’t be the first series with a decline in the end)
😭 😞 so sad…..

Fantastic

I have loved every minute of this series. I think the relationship between Maddie and Natalie could’ve been better I want to know if they become friends at some point especially since they seem like they’d start to get along at some point.

I wish there were more books in the series and I love how Aidan and Maddie finally get along better and how much he influences her!! Throughout the whole series.

It’s a fantastic read full of twists and turns. Who you think is the bad guy isn’t actually the bad guy and the one you think is on everyone’s side is manipulated. I’d recommend this series to anyone what likes a good light read that keeps you on the edge of your seat and doesn’t let you want to rest your dreary eyes even as it gets to be the early hours of the morning.

The third installment starts where the previous book left off and I cannot get enough of Maddie and Aiden. But my heart also LOVES Liam!!
Maddie is such an amazing heroine and her fighting skills certainly come to play in this book. Aiden is the heartthrob that keeps me reading. He’s all angsty and broody. So many good things happen in this book and we finally get questions answered too. I just devoured this book and honestly I couldn’t put it down till the very end and even then I had to just sit there and relish everything that happened.
The audiobook is fantastic. I love the narrator. She kept me listening and it was very easy to distinguish which character was speaking too.
I’d recommend this series to anyone who enjoyed reading YA paranormal romance with mature main characters then consider picking this series up. I absolutely loved it!

Perfect ending

I'm happy I read this little trilogy! While parts are still ridiculous I count as them being teenagers actually it stands apart from the normal academy books on the market now. The best part is that they are are still suffering and feeling the hard parts even weeks after its over, and the ending isn't a sappy happy married couple. It actually fits the story and kind of leave enough of an opening for a possible future in the same place and world. One can hope anyway...
You should read this! 💜

Great ending

Okay, as much as I feel the second book dragged along, this book was nonstop action and discoveries. The pacing was a bit faster but I feel like everything was resolved and we’re all left with a happily ever after (because who doesn’t like those).

The series as a whole did a nice job of introducing different magical communities, having a romantic interest, and a typical teenager saves everyone plot that is common with young adult novels but it was still enjoyable.

Quick reads, very YA (main character is 16, no steam romance). The main problem facing the couple is their lack of communication and their utter blindness to how much they mean to each other.

The trilogy feels a little rushed overall, to the point where some of the scenes that could have been big - like the Maddie going to see the Queen for their talk - which ended up being maybe a handful of sentences long... I don't know. I think it could have breathed a little more and had a little more oomph.

Still, nice quick reads. I'll check out more from this author!

Just the right ending

This series has been enjoyable to read. It is clean and has a nice set of characters. The academy has all types of paranormal and it is neat to see them interacting. Maddie and Aiden go on quite the adventure with Jade, Ben and Liam. This last book wraps everything up nicely. (It is a bit wordy but does not take away from the enjoyment of the story). Love this clean series

Not a great ending

The ending had no real wrap up and happened fast. There was no real explanation as to what comes next for Maddie & Aden, which was very disappointing. This was a great series with a rushed and incomplete ending

Great ending to the series. The fast pace kept up right until the end and didn't lag. Things were left a little open ended, but we can hope that means there will be another series set after this one coming.

End of the series

I really enjoyed this series, even though I did find it a little bit predictable. It was well written and the characters were great. I wish there was a little bit more on the side characters and what happened with them but I still liked it.

This series was definitely too young for me, but it was still good. If I was looking for a clean, PNR read for a middle schooler or young teen this series would be good for that.

Storms

This is the best of the three. It's when everything comes together and the kids admit their feelings. However, it also had quite a bit of action and the major fighting.

Excellent finishing for this trilogy. Characters growth bonded nicely with the arc and story nearly tied up. Felt sad to be leaving this group of friends behind and grateful about their survival.

I just wanted more details. A great basis for a story, but I was just so underwhelmed by actual execution
