Peace and Pain. Solace and suffering. Opposites attract like magnets. They went hand in hand; just like we did.
The pain of the past encompassed my soul. It was on a path to destroy me—that was if I didn’t do it myself first.
I was drowning in the depths of my sorrow, trying to push through each day to get to the next. And then he turned up.
There was a time when he was the only beam of light within the darkness. But he snatched that away when he left and forgot all about me.
Only now he was back, and standing at the front of my World History class. Cade Easton was no longer the charming sixteen year old who never failed to put a smile on my face. Instead, he was my new teacher.
They said there was nothing quite like your first love. That all consuming feeling—the infatuation.
It should have mattered that I was his student, but it didn’t. And neither did the eight year age gap.
Age was just a number. Time which would pass us both by.
Lines blurred. Rules were broken. And there was nothing that could stop us.
Until my past resurfaced and threatened to demolish everything we’d built. With Cade by my side, I was sure I’d conquer everything. I just hoped he stayed there.
A thousand steps separated us, but nothing could keep us apart. Or could it?

I couldn't help but feel that Aria and Cade's relationship lacked the solid buildup and tension. The writer rushed through their attraction to one another, and didn't take enough time to develop the emotional level depth of their relationship. I found myself wishing for more exploration of their feelings, as it seemed like there were a lot of missed opportunities.
The good thing is the few flaws in the book were overshadowed by how the story's most sensitive part was handled. The author has managed to bring light to a subject that people don't want to talk about but that absolutely exists! Well-written and very informative! Moreover, the dual points of view in the book made the story more enjoyable.
Trigger Warnings: Self harming, Grief, Childhood abuse and witness the scene of suicide.
"Free Fall" and "Down Fall" are some of my favorite books this year.
#LOLA&BRODY<3
After reading the first two books from "Easton Family Saga", I knew that Abigail's next book will be good.
But, I was so wrong because she truly surprised me with "Defy Fate" and this book was more than good.
It was extremely brilliant!!!
"Defy Fate" is the forbidden romance story with the age-gap and student-teacher romance trope.
That is what you can read in the blurb.
But, once you start reading the book, it becomes something else.
This story becomes much more.
And it isn't a fairy tale.
One of the most amazing Abigail's writing characteristic is her storyline.
This storyline is a really great designed that makes you want to read a book without a break because you are so curious.
You want to know what the characters are hiding and what will happen next.
I didn't have any idea how it would look like the relationship between Aria and Cade because in the previous books Aria was eight years old and Cade was sixteen.
And once again, I was surprised 😱!
Aria is only 17 years old girl and she is the example of every girl (not popular girl) at high school.
Sometimes is really hard to be a teenage girl.
If you add a dark past that won't let you go, then that becomes really impossible to live a normal life.
The dark side consumes you to do things you shouldn't.
But, you do it anyway.
Because you need to feel free and that is the only way when every rational thought disappears.
There were moments in the book that were hard for me to read them.
They made me cry and I felt like something was shattered in me because it reminded me of the time when I felt similar feelings.
Anger, loneliness and helplessness.
But, luckily for Aria, she has her crush from childhood.
Cade.
The man who would do anything to protect her and who loves her even that is dangerous for them both.
He also has a dark side, a secret he hides and which lives in him, but when he is with Aria, that all disappear.
They both are broken souls but together they're becoming stronger.
And that is like true love looks like.
But, their emotions and actions could cost them the life they know.
What will happen next?
I don't know and I'm really scared.
Will they get their happily ever after?
I hope so.
Can't wait to read "Obey Fate" ❤!
With this book, Abigail showed that she deserves to be called the author and I hope that one day soon, she will become one of the most popular authors in the world.
I highly recommend this book to everyone who loves to read a forbidden romance with age-gap and student-teacher romance tropes.
I also want to say to not judge the book before you read it because age-gap and student-teacher romance sometimes are not that bad 😉!
P.S. My advice is to read "Fallen Duet" before this book 🙃!
Defy Fate is just what the doctor ordered! It’s deliciously angsty, and it has a somewhat accurate portrayal of mental illness, which continues on into the second book. While I loved the angst in this book, I was a little annoyed by all the secrecy in their pasts. It started to get a tad confusing--when Aria has secrets in her childhood, then some big event that was shocking, and then mystery surrounding how she and Cade met, and then Cade has a dark and mysterious event that happened in college. There were hints here and there, and I got a little confused trying to keep track of which hints were referring to which events. Once I stopped trying to understand, I enjoyed the book a lot more, though I’m still a little uncertain on certain events (like how Cade and Aria first met), even after finishing the second in this duet. While this book ends on a cliffhanger, which I was expecting, it’s not so big of a cliffhanger that you won’t be able to go to bed after reading it.
Such a heart-wrenching book with beautiful moments sprinkled inbetween.
Aria is a slightly troubled girl with a ditzy mother and a quiet step-father. She has a wonderful love of Cade's half-siblings that truly brightened this book. She deals with bullying throughout the book, but it comes to a precipitous by the end. She loves to run and joins the track team in her senior year, pressured by her mother to get a scholarship.
Cade is a very guilt-ridden person with a strong love for Aria. He's her childhood family friend and first crush. He is also twenty-five and her science teacher. He adores his half-siblings and step-mother and always fights for Aria.
I really enjoyed this book, but be warned there are many possible triggers like fights, hurting one's self, and mentions of shooting and lethal car crash.
4.5 stars. Wow, just wow. I am still thinking about this story and how it evolved. I LOVED the previous duet leading to this and since we last left Cade and Aria as kids, I was expected a very angsty YA kinda story...BUT this was sooo much more and so complex and so real and heartbreaking. Lots of tough themes played out and the way Abigail navigated these topics and pulled you in to make you feel everything these characters were going through is remarkable. Abigail is a fantastic writer and I love the way she writes her heroine with so much depth, maturity, endearment, complexity, passion and unapologically raw. I was so sad and heartbroken for aria and all that she’s gone through especially as we start to peel back all the layers to her broken self. It’s tragic. It’s sorrow filled. It’s upsetting that no one is around to intervene and help. And Cade...he also has secrets and internal turmoil but focuses on Aria to try to breath new life into her...he’s just everything a hero should be and the right person to be there for Aria. As for the side characters..disappointing to miss all the signs and continues to pass time. For there to be so much “family” around it’s a lesson that secrets can be buried in plain sight if you do not pay attention. The ending...epic breakdown...broken for Aria...I’m still numb...for her, for him.
Having read the Fallen Duet, I thought I knew what I was getting into with this book. My predictions were it would be angsty, a bit taboo, and slowly reveal all as I travel down its telling.
Guess What? I was right but still, OH SO WRONG. I want to cry and when I say cry, I mean heart wrenching sobs that are filled with heartache but also a fury like no other. I am past PO’d at the injustices against Aria. Eek! The people around her have failed her so, even if it was not done maliciously. Yep mama bear is fired up here.
Cade, I loved his boyhood in the Fallen Duet and I love him even more now. How does this author make these beautifully flawed characters so endearing. I see, feel, and understand why he has taken the path he is on even when I don’t agree with his choices. Ugh having said that this author is an evil genius, making you think you know all. When I have started to read the second book in her duets in the past, all I can think is WTH?! Yes, historically that is her MO. I am on to her. Ugh I am gearing up for the next book. Did I mention this author is EVIL?! Lol!
This book lays the foundation and you get to experience how Cade and Aria fall in love. You gets tastes of their early years together but the here and now is what is filled with all the heartbreaking flavor. Some real mental heath issues are explored and all the sadness that involves. SO GOOD!
So my point, EVERYONE needs to read this book! My warning though, plan to be haunted long after you turn the last page. Yikes! I need book two RIGHT NOW.
I could not wait to read Cade's story. I loved him in The Fallen Duet Series and was so excited to read his story. What made it even better was finding out that his love interest is Aria, the girl who was just a kid with a crush, the little girl who at the end of that series, Cade tried to hide from. They haven''t seen each other in years. Aria is now a Senior in high school and guess who her new teacher is? You guessed it, Cade Easton, her childhood crush.
It has been a while since Cade lived in the two that he grew up in. After he went away to college he didn't really come back often. But it's now time for him to come home. He has accepted a job as a teacher and coach at the high school. When he sees that Aria is now a student in his class. It has been a while since he has seen her and she is no longer a little girl. She is beautiful and all grown up. He knows that there are boundaries and lines that cannot be crossed. But spending time with her only makes it harder and those lines begin to blur. He knows that being with her is wrong, but what he feels when he is with her just fells to right to worry about it. Until something happens where he truly realizes what the consequences of them being together really are. Is being with Aria worth asking it all? Or will he do the right thing and walk away?
I love this book. This is a forbidden romance which I love bit there is so much more to this book. There is a depth to this characters that makes this book more than just forbidden. It is intense, emotional, angsty and will make you feel all of the emotions. Cade and Aria have their own dark secrets that have been kept to themselves. They have both been carrying around the pain from their secrets for so long. Honestly a part of me hated Aria's mom for not seeing what was going on. for not seeing her hurt, something the Cade noticed. I hurt so much for her and loved that she had Cade.
Cade was sweet, kind, sexy and I loved how he looked after her and wanted to protect her. These two wee meant to be together.
This is a duet so you know what that means.. There is a cliffhanger in a way that will have you needing the next book now. Don't worry it will be here every soon. I am left wondering how this will work, how will the two of them get past the obstacles. I also think I was left with a little piece of my heart broken at the end. Another fantastic job by Ms. Davies!! The writing is perfect, the story will grab you from the very start and the characters will not only make you feel the love between them but you will fall for them as well. Cannot wait to see how this ends.
Aria has endured a painful childhood and has been taught that the way to deal with her pain and emotions is to pretend it isn’t there and put on a brave front. As a child the only person that was truly there for her was Cade and even though there is a difference of eight years between them they became great friends but felt that he forgot all about her when he left for college.
Years later Cade returns to his hometown and is not only teaching at the high school, but he is teaching one of Aria’s classes as well. The connection between them is stronger than ever but things are about to become complicated when a chemistry between them ignites as well. They have so many obstacles to face and when all is said and done will they be each other’s downfall or salvation?
Full of emotion this story has all the feels. Aria has endured so much in her life and your heart breaks for what she has still continues to go through but Cade comes back into her life at the perfect time. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for this couple.
I absolutely LOVED this book (I need the second part RIGHT NOW). I thought I had an idea how this book might play out, since we know the characters already, but boy was I off base. It's forbidden love at its finest. There were parts that had me holding my breath and I felt so sad for Aria. She has a tough time. I loved the taboo nature of their relationship, even though you know they knew each other before hand. I can't wait to see what happens in the second part.
Well this book was depressing and maddening and made me want book two like right now. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into with this book and I love that. I thought it might be sad and deal with mainly the age difference between Cade and Aria but it was so much more. This book might be a trigger for some but it must be read. You might just find a bit of yourself in Aria. I know I did. Her epic breakdown was reminiscent to some I’ve had. Just please go into this story with an open mind and a few Kleenex.
Aria has been scarred by her father’s mental illness. She was put through so much and was even the sole witness to his demise by his own hand. She now carries that with her into her current life and is failing miserably. She feels adrift and alone. Her mother is of no use because she is the type to sweep it under the rug and ignore the issue. Jan is starting a new life with Sal and a new diner and Aria feels left behind. When a blast from her past shows up as her world history teacher, she is conflicted. He quiets the noises in Arias head but it’s taboo for them because of their age difference and being her teacher despite their family’s years long friendship. Cade is back home. Having suffered a tragedy himself he finds himself teaching back at his old high school. He lives with his demons and self-blame. It’s in his class he comes upon a familiar name and low and behold it’s Aria. He feels a connection and knows that they share a pivotal moment in time. At one point he was her only friend. He knows it’s wrong and against so many rules, but he can’t help himself. He tries to save Aria from herself repeatedly all while trying to look like just a friend and teacher on the outside. It all comes to a head when Ford gives him some very sobering advice. Now with the pivotal epic moment of Arias spiral in the rearview he is struggling to keep them above water but not all secrets are meant to be kept between two people.
I hated Jan. I know it’s just her twisted way of coping but man pushing things down doesn’t solve anything. She needed therapy herself. Jasmine and Willow are both mean girls. They are just the lowest of the low. I hated girls like them in high school. Think it’s just ok to treat people like crap. Ok deep breaths no need to get cranky about it! I didn’t care about the age difference between these two I was cheering them on. I think they heal each other. Now there were some scenes that made me cringe and I felt I had to skip them. I felt it when she felt it that’s how descriptive it was. I can’t wait for book two to get some closure and I know they have a bumpy ride ahead but I hope they come out the other side smiling and healing.
Holy.... WOW! I fell in love with this series when I met Brody and Lola so when I was offered the chance to read Cade's story, I jumped. And I'm so glad I did.
I love a good forbidden romance, which this book delivered in one of my favourite forms - I'm not going to spoil it by telling you what it is - you will have to read it to find out.
Cade and Aria were amazing. Two broken and scarred people fighting to overcome their own demons and past. Hot, sizzling chemistry and a whole lot of drama and angst was woven through out their story.
Kudos to Abigail. She wrote an absolutely stunning story which touched on some very sensitive topics, but.... it was so flipping well done that I couldn't put it down. I was totally drawn in by these topics (tears in my eyes because I've lived it) that I didn't even notice the time fly by.
And the ending.... What a freaking cliffhanger! I need the next book (now, please!)
This is the first book I have read by the author and I wasn’t disappointed. In fact, her style of writing is exactly what I love when picking a novel to read. It doesn’t happen often, but I was left wanting more. More, in the best possible way. Aria is a badass heroine. One who is deeply wounded and broken but somehow still manages to remain strong and independent, even through the tough times. Whilst Cade and Arias relationship may not be a conventional one, it’s one that is real and meaningful, even when obstacles threaten to destroy them. The supporting characters are equally brilliant and Belle? Well, she is an absolute dream. The author not only gave us two incredible main characters, but a bunch of supporting ones too.
I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for the next instalment.
So I thought I had an idea of how Cade and Aria’s story might go, since I knew them from Lola and Brody’s duet. My every idea was oh so very incorrect. Forbidden to love, they can’t help falling for each other. Forbidden to be together, Aria falls apart. Her mother doesn’t want to listen or remember, her soon-to-be stepdad doesn’t understand, and the one person who DOES get it seemingly threw her away. Cade tries to stay strong, but will he be able to when everything comes crashing down on them and he sees just how lost Aria truly is?
I can’t wait to find out where we go from here, because a mean girl and her meaner sister just may ruin everything.
Defy Fate is the first book in a new duet by Abigail Davies. Defy Fate is about Cade and Aria and is the second duet in the Easton Family saga (the first duet was about Brody (Cade's father) and Lola). We are a couple years down the road since the end of Down Fall. Cade is 25 and is going to teach and coach at his old high school. Aria just started senior year. Cade is her old crush and now he is her new teacher and coach.
The beginning of their story is amazing. As always the writing was amazing and I couldn't put the book down. This book showed me again why Abigail Davies is one of my favorite authors! I can't wait to read what happens next with Cade and Aria.
This was my first book from Abigail Davies and wow was this an incredible story!!
Aria is our heroine who is 17, but has such a dark past that I just want to hug and squeeze her. We also meet Cade who shows up after a few years with secrets of his own. He's sweet but a bit naive and it gets him in a bit of trouble.
Overall, this story was pretty well written, lots of emotion flowing from Aria, and man was I mad when the pages stopped turning lol. I cannot wait for book 2!!!
This is a lovely angst filled book, and I’m so glad I didn’t make a promise not to hate Abigail Davies when I was finished. Fuck you bitch! 😭😭😭 where’s the rest! I need it! Sweet baby Jesus this book took me through fucking hell, but I can’t wait for more Cade and Aria. I’m just gonna go cry in the corner now 😭😭 For real. It’s raw and real, and so damn brilliantly written.
Felt like a run of the mill teacher student trope, except it was focused way too much on her mental health without really explaining or trying to go deep into it. So yeah not the best... guess it wasn’t the worst either? I just didn’t like it, but can see why other people might.
This was a heartbreaking story of first love, of redemption, of struggle and breaking.
Aria is suffering in silent after growing up with a mentally ill father and watching him kill himself in front of her. Her mother is emotionally distant with her, and her extended family is unaware how much she is struggling.
Cade comes back into her life as her teacher. Confusing the lines he quickly becomes her safe haven. But their relationship is forbidden, and the complication and hurt that causes may destroy them.
Trigger warning for mental health struggles and suicide.
This book is EVERYTHING. I just finished it about an hour ago, and I am still stewing over my thoughts of what just happened. Aria & Cade's story is so special, so heartwrenching, and I swear I felt every single emotion that Aria did throughout this entire story. I haven't connected to a book this emotionally in a while.
We first meet Cade and Aria in the fallen duet. Their interactions in the fallen duet led me to really hope that Abigail would do a story of these two characters in the future when they were a bit older, and she granted that wish perfectly. Aria is now 17 years old and in her senior year of high school. I guess she would be considered an "outcast", because of bullying, and also because she wants to remain invisible. Aria has been through a lot in her 17 years....things that no one should see or endure in their entire lives. She has become a master of hiding the truth behind her eyes. But, things are coming to a boiling point. Cade is back in the town he grew up in, 25 years old, and now a highschool teacher and track coach. He finds out on his very first day, that Aria, the girl he grew up with, and who is like family, is in one of his classes. Immediately Aria's feelings come pouring back in the moment that she see's Cade. &Cade, finally seeing her as an adult starts to look at her that way as well. Their relationship is forbidden. An 8 year age gap. In love with your teacher/coach. &That's when things get really messy.
Abi did SUCH an incredible job portraying these character's emotions. I found myself connecting with Aria so quickly, because I recognized the emotions she was enduring, the pain, and want for isolation because it is easier than dealing with reality. Her pain poured through the pages, and my mind sucked them right up. It was like I was right there with her, experiencing everything that she was. You want to be there for this character. Hug her. Support her. Promise her that you've been there and you CAN push through.
I love being able to connect with a story on that personal of a level. Abi did a remarkable job with creating a realistic, intriguing, and addicting story...&I can barely wait for the moment that I can read book 2!
I have rather quickly come to really love Abi's writing. She is a phenomenal author, and I more than recommend this read, I say you should absolutely get this as soon as it releases, because it is a story you will hold on to, & love. I already know that this will be joining my bookshelf, because I need the physical copy of it as well! If I could, I would give more than 5 stars!
Wow! I had a feeling this book was going to be amazing learning what happened to Cade the young boy we learned to love in Brody and Lola’s story, but my heart was not truly ready.. This story will suck you in and I promise you will feel every emotion Aira goes through in this story.
Aria was 8 when Cade left for college they’ve always been close, we’ll ever since that night(you will have to read down fall to find out what happened..no spoilers here) and now he’s back and she not the 8 year old he remembers.
Aria is now 17, and in her final year of high school, she’s always been considered an outcast, she’s been bullied all throughout school so she tries to keep a low profile, Aria has not had the best childhood she’s been through more than your normal teenager and has become really good at pushing down her feelings and putting on a happy face to hide all the hurt and pain she has endured, but everyone reaches there boiling point and Aria’s is coming.
Cade is now 25 and back in the town he grew up in as the new American History teacher and track coach. He realizes on the first day of school that Aria the girl he grew up with and is considered family, the one persons who was always there for him when he needed her, is now in his class. Cade quickly realizes that Aria is almost an adult and starts to see her as an adult. There has been lots of talk of a new teacher starting this year, and as soon as Aria hears his voice she freezes and all her feeling for her first crush come crashing back.
There relationship is forbidden, there love won’t be easy it could get messy but all great love stories usually are right!? but sometimes the heart doesn’t care it wants what it wants!
I love this series! Do your self a favor and one click this baby!!
That was me the entire time I was reading. This book was definitely more than a 5 stars. I swear my heart was racing the entire time I was reading. Hell this book grabbed me from chapter 1, and as I kept going I could feel my chest tightening. If that doesn't describe how I felt, then I don't know what else I can say.
Cade Easton. I fell in love with his character when he was introduced in the Fallen Duet. And when I found out that he was getting his own duet, I did a little happy dance. I just knew that his book was going to be everything. And boy did I hit the nail on the head. And when Aria was revealed as his girl, I was like this duet was going check all the boxes: 1. age-gap 2. Forbidden couple 3. Angst to the 10th degree 4. Heart wrenching story 5. Characters stay with you
I could not put this book down. I was pleading with my Kindle battery to let me finish read before it dies. I don't care that this book ended with a cliffy. I only knew that while I was reading this book I was able to see the entire thing playing out in my head. When I came to the end and it was left with a cliffhanger I was ok with it since my heart needed a little break. Plus like kind of figured there would be a cliffy since it is the first book in a duet. So if you are a person that hates a good cliffhanger too bad.
I know I am gonna be suffering a book hangover for a while, probably till I get my hands on the second book. Then again I did dive right in for a re-read only hours after I finished reading. And I have a feeling my book hangover will be back after I finish reading the second book. So Davies bring on the torture.
Cade’s story!! So we originally meet Cade as a teen in the previous duet (fallen duet) but this time we meet him and he is allllllllllll man. He comes back to the town where his family is which means starting a new job at the local school. Little did he know he would bump into the the little girl that used to follow him around..... but she isn’t a little girl any more. She has grown up and of course he is now her teacher. Aria used to have a crush on Cade, and would follow him around everywhere... until he moved away to uni and she moved on with her life, although it wasn’t plain sailing for her, she has suffered in silence finding any relief. She had forgotten about Cade until he is standing right in front of her in class.
The feelings start to surface for both of them but not wanting to cross the teacher/student lines it becomes more and more difficult as their families always hang out with each other. Stepping over the line results in them two sneaking around but aria has secrets, secrets she doesn’t want people to know about including Cade.
Ah. Cade. He is all man, but he has a heart of gold and you can see he doesn’t want to blur lines but his feelings win the fight. Aria is a fighter. Although she struggles everyday, she still gets on with life. No one knows how much she is hurting though, until Cade finds out.
*sigh* I need book two. I got to know how this one ends.
I wasn't sure how this story was going to go over for me, as I'm not quite down with the age difference to be honest, not because of that difference, but because of the age of Aria. However, despite my misgivings, I still gave it a try because it's Abigail Davies who wrote it, and I did find myself gripped in the pages to the determent of all other things which needed to get done. Aria is a 17 year old girl with a lot of pain in her young life, and it seriously keeps her isolating herself 99% of the time. Like, she doesn't do anything that girls her own age are doing, and she honestly doesn't care. Life takes a big turn when her newest teacher Cade Easton, the boy who left her behind when he went off to college is back in town. They bonded when she was a child, and now that she's almost legal, it seems that they have a lethal chemistry which is, well, find out for yourselves. Obviously, it's an attraction which has to be kept on the down low, but you already know secrets don't make friends. However, they have a really long road a head of them, and seriously, Aria's pain leaped off the pages making it hard for me to breathe. I know I need the next book in this Duet, since I was pushed over the side of a cliff. If you like the taboo, then get to one clicking this very emotionally charged story, oh hell, even if you don't, check this story out that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
I've been excited about this story since I found out this duet was going to exist. Defy Fate, Cade Easton and Aria Sayer's story isn't just everything I hoped it would be, it's so much more.
Aria is a quiet teenager, who keeps her head down at school in the hopes of becoming invisible. But someone sees her. The boy she had a crush on when she was younger. Only now he's not a boy, he's her new coach. When Cade left for college, Aria was still a child. Now he's back and in that childs place is a young woman. A young woman he would do anything for, even if it turns out to be dangerous for him.
Cade and Aria both have secrets. Both have had things happen in the past that they have kept to themselves, things that they would rather forget. That's easier said than done when their memories haunt them. Maybe together they can help each other forget. Or will this connection they share get them both into trouble?
Defy Fate is one of those stories that keeps you guessing where it will go. Keeps you turning those pages to find out what happens next. Never gives anything away until you're ready for it - even then you're probably not really ready. Was it angst filled - yes! Was it captivating - yes! Is it truly an all consuming, forbidden romance - yes! Go grab Defy Fate and find out why its unputdownable.
Mind blown, heartbroken and left in tears, tears of pain, joy and hope....
Defy Fate: Cade and Aria’s story, the happy funloving teen and sweet little girl we first met in Fallen Duet. Only now the years have passed, they have grown and both have dark secrets hidden. Fate brings them back together, but circustances and the age difference destroys and kind of relationship they were going to have , we go on a painful journey with Aria, a young women living behind the brickwalls she has built around her, slowly self-destructing before the only person who ever saw her, Cade. Cade tells her he will make all the pain go away, but at what cost?.
Defy Fate also brings happy times, catching up with Broody, Lola, Ford,Jan & Sal and no forgetting PB (Princess Belle) and Asher. Along with some hot chemisty and sexual scenes.
If you love a gripping storyline that will make you smile, break you clean in two and leave yo wanting to reach inside the pages this is a one click must for you.
I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review. WOW just WOW this book is outstanding. If you've read the Fallen Duet then you'll know the characters in this book, but it's moved on 10 years. The last time Cade saw Aria was when she was 8 years old, well now she's a young sevetenn year old woman and he is her teacher. Although in his time away a lot has happened to her, secrets abound as he has his own. This book had my emotions all over the place, happy, crying, angry and shocked. So you could say this book is an emotional rollercoaster, that leaves you breathless and wanting more. This book is really well written and thoroughly enjoyable, and most definitely a book I will be recommending to anyone and everyone because it's a must read 😍😍😍💞💞💞💖💖💖
What the hell did I just read and how the hell did Abigial Davies manage to yet again write such awesomeness that had me seriously hooked and feeling every single emotion right along with these characters?? Wow I just want to hug these guys so badly.. my icy heart is breaking for them while my head is screaming give me book 2 right now haha So we have Cade Easton who we met in the Fall duet with him being Brodys son.. hes back being the new hot teacher in town. Then we have Aria daughter of Jan who we also have previously met... lost broken young Aria who just wants someone to see her for her. And boom together we have such a powerful couple overflowing with strong chemistry but we also have so many issues on why they cant be together giving us such an emotional rollercoaster of a book! I cant say enough but EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ THIS ASAP!!! Yet another smash hit from Abigail!
Abigail Davies has reached a level that has her as #QueenHeartBreaker #QueenOfTheAngstyTaboo
Aria and Cade are going to destroy your heart, in a good way. Gahhh....the angst!! The ANGST is on a different level with this story.
Aria and Cade’s story will have you on the edge of the couch. You will be flipping through the pages trying to figure out what’s going to happen. You will FEEL all the FEELS AND your heart is going to bust from the angst.
Student/Teacher Age Gap
That’s all you are getting from me. Every single romance lover needs to read this!
A MUST READ! I need book 2 ASAP!!
*I was given a free advanced copy of this book by the author/publisher in exchange for my honest and voluntary review.*
Oh good heavens above, Abigail you have just shredded me poor wee heart!!!!
After reading the Fallen Duet (loved it!!) I can mind writing to Abigail and saying that Cade is defo his dad's son, he's going to be a heartbreaker, that wee dude was deep and I couldn't wait to read his story - well, this is his story!...And Arias! 😘 And a deep story it is! I'm not going to say much about the actual storyline because I can't abide spoilers! What I will say is, this story is going to wrap itself around you and drag you in, it's gonna to leave a mark on you and you are going to love it! I know I did 🥰
Another 5star top read that I can't recommend enough!!!!!
