The Ranch Contract
When Lora Harrison's agent arranges a vacation for her on a working ranch, she decides that a getaway couldn't hurt, but the beautiful, feisty young actress has no idea what is in store for her. This is yet another book that opines that the h has to put up with anyone being cruel to her (in this case, Vera); if she responds in kind, then she gets punished (“I did listen to you.” His hand rubbed in circles on her back. “And I believe that she hurt you, but—”). So, Nate, the punishment is more important than Lora's very understandable despair?
This is yet another book in which the H brutally whips the h and says he's doing it "for her own good," even when it's clear that he's taking her over her limit (“No,” she pleaded, tears running down her cheeks so fast that she couldn’t see through them. “Please, Sir. Please. I’ll do anything if you just...” She was crying too hard to speak." Even after that, he still says he's going to paddle her later.).
For some reason I can't fathom, Ms. McLeod writes books where no matter what is done to the h, if she ever responds with justified anger or hurt, then she gets punished -- often viciously. And, don't even get me started on the eye-rolling -- are authors really this desperate to find reasons for punishment scenes?
Finally, non-consensual spankings and other punishments (such as making her walk half-naked in a public place) in the contemporary U.S. just take far too much disbelief to suspend (though it becomes consensual later, it was not at first since Lora didn't know what she had signed and it was unforgivable that no one told her; in addition, it was unbelievable that she later tells a potential employer that she gets physically punished). Just once in these books, I wish a bystander would call the police. I had no respect for Nate (who was a bully we were somehow supposed to admire). I did, however, have a smidgen of respect for Lora, who, unlike most h's in this genre, actually .
Two stars (since, unlike many of Ms. McLeod's H's, Nate does compromise at the end). But the fact that Lora isn't allowed to disrespect Nate, but Nate is allowed to call Lora a name she frequently tells him bothers her with impunity really tells me all I need to know about him.

It was okay
Kinda cheesy but I mean I didn't really have that high of expectation for it. Really though the authors idea of romance and mine didn't not mesh at all I mean if a guy had said some of the stuff this guy said to her daddy or no I would have walked off on his behind and not looked back I gave it 3 stars simply because I know it probably takes a lot of work to write these but that's about the only reason sorry

This is an amazing story. I loved the interactions between Nate and Lora. I didn’t want the story to end.

A very enjoyable read
Lora is an actress but her career is going nowhere so her agent books her a vacation at a ranch. She doesn't realize that it's called Discipline Ranch. Hate us the owner of the ranch and Nora gets in trouble with him almost immediately. But they are attracted to each other and this Daddy Dom recognizes her as his Little.

The Ranch Contract is a cowboy daddy romance. It includes a dd/lg dynamic, and, of course there is the kink/spanking content. When actress Lora begins to loose work because of her reputation her agent arranges a getaway for her. Lora has no idea it will be to a working ranch run by a strict and sexy Daddy Dom. They have a bad first impression where Nate immediately calls her out and corrects her behavior. Lora is absolutely shocked, angry and embarrassed. By the time they both have cooled down, they each realize the chemistry and potential with one another. This is an easy read that can be finished quickly, would be great to reset your brain after some darker stories.

Great book
I loved the way that Nate took to Lora at first sight. He didn't let her get away with anything at the first go. He was with her all the way, he never let her go. Lora was surprised that someone would love her, and care for her. Mate gave her support and comfort.

Good short read
I give this book 4.7 stars ⭐✨⭐. It was a great quick read that had a decent plot and quite a few spicy scenes. I wish this book dived deeper into Lora being a little but it was still pretty good!

Lora was an independent (if slightly bratty and stubborn) actress who is sent by her agent, to unwind on a ranch, after getting turned down in a few acting gigs because of her diva reputation. Lora is astonished to find herself on a ranch where bad behavior won't just get her a scolding or lecture, but a full contact spanking to her bare bottom!
The owner of the ranch is another unexpected surprise. Because Nate is a Dom who likes a bit of sass and spice in his little girls and has a firm hand when it comes to disciplining the naughty guests who slack off or mouth off.
The sparks that fly between them is unmistakable but Lora isn't a Little (right?) Calling Nate Daddy makes her face heat just thinking about it! But after a rigorous spanking from Nate that first night, Lora finds herself conflicted by her attraction to a man who wants to be called Daddy and by her own unexpected pleasure at being called baby girl by this dominate man.
For the first time in a long while, Lora feels safe and wanted and cherished but Lora's career is back in the city not on a ranch. Will this Little have to say goodbye to her Daddy so soon after finding him? Or will Daddy finally come through for his baby girl?
~ My Thoughts ~
I've found a new author to follow and I'm excited to see what else is out there for my guilty reading pleasure! I would definitley recommend. This book was one of the best DD/lg books I've read since delving into this kink. I loved the instant connection between the MCs. You can feel it from the very first encounter all the way until the final scene. Lora and Nate were a smutty delicious mix of heat, sweetness and pleasure pain!
This book was DD/lg gold and I devoured it in one sitting then forced myself to sleep a few hours only to wake up and read it a second time. This time more slowly and with each new scene, savor it a bit longer. Lora was an awesome character who goes through some much needed emotional growth throughout the story and Nate was a sexy Dom Daddy that knew just how to handle Lora when her sassy attitude got her into trouble .
This one was just short of the perfect 5 Star rating because I just wished Nate would have been assertive when it came to his feelings for Lora. I wanted him to give up his active role on the ranch (spanking others) because he wanted to and not because he knew it upset Lora. After being so adamant that he enjoyed his job, his about face felt too forced.
When Lora expresses her insecurities and her jealousy about him spanking others, a couple of times throughout the story, he always either brushed it off or ignored it. He was so understanding with her in most instances that it felt wrong how he wouldn't address her very real concerns. A Daddy should make his Little's feelings a top priority so it was a bit frustrating to hear him say he "enjoyed his job" of spanking the other guests on his ranch - even after meeting and developing feelings for Lora. Although I like the kink and the smut, I still want there to be a happily ever after for the couple I'm reading about and I want them to fall in love.
For a while there I thought Nate and Lora weren't going to get their HEA and this was just going to be an erotic read, not a romance. Specifically when Lora asks him if he really loves her and he deflects by saying he "cares for her" but doesn't actually say the word LOVE. In the end, Nate finally declares his love for Lora and offers to give up being an active participate at the ranch for her but it felt a little too rushed to be believable. His wishy washy and vague attitude in the face of Lora's Little insecurities and fears knocked down a star. Besides those two instances, this was a really good read. The story was developed, the characters were detailed and the DD/lg was intriguing AF. A more committed Daddy would have made this a perfect 5 star read!

OBEDIENCE—RESPECT—AND SELF-CONTROL
What a fun tale that will bring two people together, starting a new relationship. Lora Harrison’s agent, Alice, arranges a paid vacation at a ranch about two hours away. What a shock when Lora arrives, there is no cell service, and she meets a few of the people like Thomas and Nate. When owner, Nate Marsden takes Lora to her room and discusses the paperwork needing signed with rules of the ranch she will be in for a wake-up call.
“Rules and regulations for your stay at Discipline Ranch.”
Lora is a talented actress that has developed a nasty reputation for her brattiness, and now, even directors are willing to bypass her for someone easier to work with, even if they are less talented. Alice, her agent, knows that something drastic needs to change and pays for her to visit Discipline Ranch without her knowing what will happen while she is there, but has high hopes it will straighten Lora out and get her back on track.
The plot will have Lora arriving at the ranch, and it won’t take long for her snarky attitude to land her in trouble with Nate and to experience her very first spanking. While Miss Lora refused to read the paperwork and just signed consent—an actual spanking is more dubious, but accepted. Learning she has an early bedtime and expected to work the ranch is another surprise—and this girl doesn’t have clothes for ranch work. But she will make do and after her outdoor chores will go horseback riding with Nate—which will turn to outdoor sex. Nate will call her little girl and call himself Daddy and Lora will melt.

Lora has never been held accountable as she will be at the Discipline Ranch, and while she tries to acquiesce to her surroundings, trouble is brewing with another guest, Vera. Vera makes some nasty comments to Lora because she is jealous of her and what she sees is happening with Nate.
“You’re so juvenile, the other woman’s words ran through her mind. I bet that’s why he likes you so much.”
It won’t take long before things go terribly wrong and now she is in trouble, big time, with Daddy. Lora's agent sends her to a working ranch however its not the kind of working ranch she thought. Here there are rules to be followed to the letter or there will be punishments. Lora signed the contract for the ranch without reading it and when Nate has her read it she is stunned. One her first day she earns her first spanking for her behavior. Nate is drawn to Lora more than as a client he thinks its because of her little tendencies bring out the Daddy in him. Lora loves the ranch and the animals and doesn't know if she'll want to leave. Yet when she and another woman get into a fight which earns her a spanking Lora takes off back to her home. Will Nate go claim his baby girl? Will Lora let Nate be her Daddy?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

WHAT A PIECE OF PAPER
Nste and his crew run his patents ranch, he took it over from his mom , after his dad died. Not much has changed at the ranch it just isn't over run with a lot of people
What one actresses learns in a week is
what one man can teach her, with a hard hand and a loveing embrace
This story was short but nothing was rushed. Lorie found her new life with Nate, his daddy carding for her.
I have read a # of this style story and when one comes up on my reading list I can relax enjoy it and know the author took me on a love filled journey
This is quick, fun and a happy ever after drop by for a few hours.

Loved this book
Absolutely loved this book. Could wait to see what would happen next to Lora. Enjoyed the actions with Nate and the variety of punishments very entertaining an exciting. This was my first Dinah Mcleod, a well written book, cant wait to read more of her books. Thanks Dinah, good job
