I believe in God, His son Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. Each has a specific role in my journey on this earth and hopeful return to them. This book (when I first saw it) intrigued me enough to pick it up because I wanted to learn more about God, the Father. It's been rare, at least for me, to come across books which deal exclusively with God, his character, his role and everything we can try to understand about Him. Why rare? Because in my culture there is absolutely no shortage of literature and content about His beloved Son. That is a good thing but I think that in my pursuit of knowing my Savior I sometimes may forget to give enough proper attention to God the Creator. To know one (Christ) is to know the other (God) and it has been good for me to have increased my knowledge and understanding of God the Father through this book. Perhaps the biggest takeaway for me from this reading is a deeper appreciation of God's love and care for me and His efforts on my behalf. Well-written book with plenty of scriptural and other footnotes.

3.5 stars. This was a pretty good book, but it was also pretty dry. The bulk of it is grouping scriptures and quotes together relative to whatever theme the Chapter heading carries, and concluding each chapter with different variations of "we need to do this." I would have appreciated more modern day examples of how these scriptures apply to us today. That said, there were some insightful lessons tought throughout the book as well. I appreciated when he told stories about his life that gave new perspective to the chapter themes. I also appreciated the etymological factoids that were peppered throughout. Maybe I wasn't in the right place spiritually to get everything the author intended us to get from this book, but it was still pretty decent. Good, not great.

Magnificent. It was a book I pondered as I read. It's not a book to read like a novel. It was a deep book for me. I wanted to feel the words. I wanted to drink in the words. Thanks to Ed J. Pinegar for this his final book before he passed away. I thoroughly enjoyed and absorbed this book. Read it with the Spirit and you will get so much more out of it. I will read it again.

I listened to the audiobook. It was not as engaging as I would have liked. I do appreciate the content and message though. I think that I would have enjoyed it more if I had read the book instead of listened to it

Listened to audio. Might have been better if read by author or read. Good review and learned a couple things.
