PLEASE THIS IS NOT A PC STORY! The recently elected President, his Vice President, and his entire Cabinet are assassinated leaving the Speaker of the House, a very outspoken leader of the Progressive party becomes the new President. As President, she decides that since the President won the election through the Electoral College and lost the popular vote, she would follow the will of the people and begin implementing a progressive agenda. Health care for all, free college education, increased mim wage. Increases the income tax on high earners. In order to pay for the new programs, she cuts the military to the bone and continues cutting. Thousands of active-duty members are thrown out of their jobs within only a couple of weeks’ notice. The new president signed an executive order banning all private ownership of weapons while she sent a bill to Congress overturning the Second Amendment. Since she also supported the cities and states cutting their local police forces and removing firearms from the remaining police, she turned to the UN to disarm the American citizens. The UN was glad to supply the manpower to disarm the Americans, thousands of blue-helmeted UN troops arrived, they asked people to turn their weapons in and receive a small payment, those who refused were paid visits in the middle of the night by the UN soldiers who tore homes apart, they killed and raped those who fought them. They ended up creating an army of insurgents who declared war against the UN. Recently retired veterans trained and fought next to the American insurgents, the UN responded by sending more people and heavy weapons. America soon found herself with thousands of her citizens fighting the UN.The Northeast and West Coast supported the UN, the South and most of the Midwest resisted further splitting the country, America quickly found herself on the sharp edge of a civil war while fighting the invading UN soldiers. Red Sunset tells the story of how America got itself into the war and how she fought against those who wanted to destroy the Constitution.

A high speed, politically incorrect train wreck when a "Progressive" Speaker of the House becomes President after the assassination of the President, VP and Cabinet. Events spiral out of control quickly as the new President institutes her "Make America FAIR Again" policies including banning all guns. The President to resorts to requesting UN troops to enforce the new anti gun laws when local police refuse to initiate house to house gun confiscations. Think "Red Dawn" writ large!

Hardlined right-wing fantasy ? – Not !

Ever since I first encountered the box by Mr. Tiananmen, I have enjoyed them particularly the standalone novels . This one unfortunately strikes too close to home given the tone of our current media mainstream . I remember a movie when I was a kid called " Shadow on the Land " With this book, I was very much reminded of that movie disturbing as it was. While reading this book it also reminded me of one good old boy saying " this was a train wreck in slow motion " . the novel was very interesting and entertaining to read seeing how far the destructive power of the nanny state can be . The resolution of the democrat vrs. Republican issue was unique to say the least. As enjoyable as this story was,I sincerely hope it remains a work of fiction and not a prophecy of things to come.

A great read.

A entertaining and fast paced read. The plot although tongue in cheek raises many interesting issues. It rightly questions the UN and how it has morphed into a political body with no respect for American sovereignty. Many of the UN political declarations have been slipped under the radar and signed up to by globalised leaders behind the backs of their people. This novel illustrates how the organs of state can be manipulated by left wing extremists and the media's likely collusion should that ever happen . Highly enjoyable .

Interesting, it grabbed the present political situation of today.

Is it real, or is it a possible look into the future. No one can see into the future, but this book gives the reader one possibility. I found it so close to today upto the calling in the UN forces. After that point, it is only a single look the author gave.

Must Read

Scary, scary story. Hopefully it remains a story. Unfortunately the author seems to have an uncanny knack for illustrating the intolerant. MAGA! May we someday return the government to the people.

Good story without much depth

The story was good but seemed little research was needed because very few technical facts were presented. It seemed the author ,talented, but wanted to put out as many books as posdible.

Excellent

A chilling view of what can possibly happen if we allow this current liberalism point of view to run unchecked.

Very thought provoking

Hope Pelosi doesn't read this. Might give her and Schumer some ideas. They don't have the brain power to think of this on their own
