A cold-hearted club enforcer... An undercover snitch in love... And a kidnapped boy both men lust after…
Booker “You don't have to fear your virtue. I don’t sleep with what I have to kill.”
As the enforcer of the Grimm Reapers motorcycle club, it’s my job to remove threats to my brothers. Fable should be dead…not bringing out my protective instincts and making me believe in a second chance with Zak.
Zak “Karma’s a bitch that comes dressed in the form of loving two men with whom I have no future.”
Joining the Grimm Reapers under false pretenses is possibly the dumbest thing I’ve ever done. Falling in love with the enforcer of that club and the boy he wants to kill ranks just as high on my stupidity scale. But the danger isn’t enough for me to let them go.
Fable “I made him see there were more benefits to keeping me alive than killing me.”
I grew up hearing horror stories about the bikers of Smoky Vale. When they capture me, I must do everything to hide that I’m a little. But the bikers aren’t what I expected, and my little craves them as my Daddy. Can we three misfits find common ground that brings out the best in each other?
If you enjoy poly-relationships, motorcycle club romance, morally ambiguous characters, and mild age play without ABDL then you’ll love Fable’s Foes. While this book can be read as a standalone, it’s highly recommended to read book 0 and book 1 in the series to enjoy this story to its fullest.

Reading Order Boyfriend Booked: novella Biker Daddy Fable’s Foes
Gianni Holmes is a USA TODAY Bestselling author who's embracing her love for literature by wielding the pen and creating stories of her own. She's the author of the popular series The Grimm Tales of Smoky Vale and The Taking Care series. Gianni is a former teacher of Spanish Language and Hispanic Literature.
These days she can be found writing books, hanging out with her readers, and raising her daughter as a single mother. You can keep in touch with her in the following places:
Fable’s Foe picks up right where Biker Daddy ends. Fable, the Mayor’s kidnapped son, is rescued with Jamie and brought back to the MC headquarters as a sort of hostage. Despite being a victim himself, he’s a liability to the club as he witnesses them kill.
He’s under the care of Booker, the club’s enforcer, as they figure out what to do with him. However, as Booker and Zak work on their relationship, they realize they’re both falling for Fable and soon bring him in as their third. This story was long and had a lot going on. We have kidnapping, two major betrayals, mentions of SA, and also Daddy/Little.
I went into this story already aware that it was going to be a triad but had I read Biker Daddy first before Bay, I would have been surprised. This is because initially, it felt like to be a set up of a second chance romance between Zak and Booker, not a triad. Especially considering all the history, sexual connection, and intense chemistry between Zak and Booker, their relationship with Fable feels a bit uneven, even if he does fit in with them.
Fable is a little the age he regresses to his four. When Zak and Booker learn about Daddy/Little relationships and what it entails, they quickly provide what Fable needs and become his Daddies. Seeing the enforcer and VP of the club providing space and toys he needs when he’s in his little space was cute.
Fable was betrayed by his ex-caregiver/lovers and his mother. She is a demon, and you can’t feel sorry for her. So I am glad he ended up with two caring men who would do anything for him.
I also felt really bad for Zak and how things transpired but I guess it's to be expected.
Gianni never fails to write steamy scenes and Fable's Foe was no different.
While I did enjoyed it I do wonder if my feelings towards this story would have been different if I read before Bay. While I won’t actively seek out MM+ stories, I don't mind committed poly relationships and liked the dynamic between Zak, Booker and Fable.
While Fable is a little, there is no sex while he’s a little or ABDL (Only one scene with his ex caregiver which is super brief). Please check TWs.
Side note - I can see why fans of the series were surprised when it was announced that Fable’s father Ger would get his own story.
This story is about three men, Booker, Zak and Fable. They all get a fairly well-balanced share of single narrative perspectives, so no one gets left out. But it's very much like with the plot, or just like Booker and Zak can't help themselves: I can't get Fable out of my head. It doesn't even have anything to do with the bad things that happen to him. The character is simply so well written that you feel completely with him. So even though Zak and Booker are important, I could read a book with just Fable as a character and not need anything else.
Fable was different than any other boy I’d met, and I couldn’t even figure out the extent of it. 🤗
His eyes were wary, and he was skittish, but he was also feisty and strong. I had to admire his grit. 💜
This is a dark story. Fable has to go through a lot before he has his two Daddy's to himself and they take care of him and also play with him when he is little. Very sweet these scenes even if they are hard won as I said. Be wary of the amount of violence and gore involved here.
I hate the last 80 pages. I put the book aside for many days because I just didn't want to deal with the ending. I'm also not sure I want to keep reading this series. The plot twists and turns are not for me.
I'm dying to read Gunner but on my way to do that I realise I have to at least read this one before. As this one is MMM and that's not a favourite trope my expectations wasn't high. But to my surprice this one delivered. I totally bought the connection between Zac and Brooker and their boy Fable. I even got a little teairy and that's not something that happends often. And omg - aunt Hyachint, my hero 🖤 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
5 stars story!! This series just keeps getting better and better. To think I almost passed this up because it was MMMR. I rarely read MMMRs, I fluved this one!!! 💞💞💞💞💞
Mixed thoughts. There was some good things - Fable’s condition in particular was an interesting inclusion. Unfortunately i didn’t love the relationship dynamic. I couldn’t get behind the 180 Fable did in terms of sex after his traumatic experience. I liked how relatable Booker and Zac were initially when they were confused and unsure about the whole Little thing in the beginning but then it felt sudden and OTT the way Booker and Zac fell in love with him and fully embraced his Little needs. As soon as they got together it was all sex and fluff. I liked the main plot but wasn’t a fan of the resolution to the side plot.
I think I would have liked this more if we had the prologue of Booker and Zac initially getting together which is hinted at throughout the whole of Book 1. This is accessible as a short but I didn’t want to pay extra for it or go through the hassle of obtaining it and wish it had just been included in the book.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
After saving Jamie from dirty hands they find another boy kept. Jamie asks Grimm to spare the boy? Booker has to watch Fable, keep him, so he can’t escape and talk to the cops, Zak has to assist him. Zak finds a way to the boy’s heart and understands something about his behavior. Through Zak Fable gets closer to Booker. They are getting closer to each other and even think of a future. Only there are secrets and when these will see the light, it will destroy them.
This is the very short version. In reality, it’s a widely written narrative, very entertaining, sexy af, sweet and funny and here and there complicated and very painful. Fable’s little side was endearing, after he bloomed he got dirty mouthed. Some intriguing storylines running through this story. Awesomely written, I was glued. Interesting characters and varied circumstances. Overall very entertaining I loved the whole picture!
Ok. So there’s a lot here to unpack. Kidnapping, rape, betrayal, revenge, ageplay and that‘s only 1/3 of this throuple. Such a long book and a lot of story to unfold.
What worked for me here was the biker stuff. The code of the MC is black and white and brutal. You are a threat to the club...you pay. You go against the club...you pay. You betray the club...you pay. A member needs to back up their talk of loyalty with actions, in good times and bad. That’s how respect is earned. Club justice is swift and merciless but once taken is paid in full and over. That dynamic is perhaps the most interesting here to me, but IMO took up too little page time considering what happens.
The relationship was a little lacking for me in this one. Zak and Booker have a history and a clear connection, physically and emotionally they sizzle, but I felt Fable’s interactions with them were less somehow. Yes, they accept him for who he is, but a lot of stuff is offpage and then brushed aside. I mean there’s only so much felching and cum-eating a person can read about. But is it really a good basis for “completing” a throuple?? I definitely wanted more of the good stuff and less cum-eating. Is that so wrong?
And the age-play got really watered down. The very beginning, when Fable was with Claud, was pretty interesting before Fable’s world got torn apart in the most heinous way. Then once he can finally show that part of himself again with Zak and Booker it’s reduced to playing with toys and no real care-giving I would expect. The acceptance was nice to read but I was so fucking bored for a large portion of the middle of this.
This was mostly enjoyable, had an interesting dynamic and made the main three men work for their relationship HEA. But I lost interest part way through. Distracted by way too many plots that watered down the relationship connection and left me wanting. The ending was brutal and angsty and so worthy of an epic MC romance but I was skimming a bit to get there.
Personally Fable’s foes wasn’t for me I just really couldn’t get into it. I did however really enjoy the relationship that gradually developed between Booker,Zak and Fable and how the older men looked after the little as well as all the angst that took place but it wasn’t enough to make me fall in love with the book.
Oh man, this was "rip-my-heart-out-cry-my-eyes-out-scream-and-rage-then-sigh-awww-at-the-end" kind of book. So many feels! I kid you not, I teared up so many times! Ms Holmes went to town with this one! I loved, loved, loved it! AAAAARRRGHHHHHH!!!!!!! Well, I got that of my chest, so let's get serious. I knew this would be angsty. Two conflicted rough bikers and a boy who is so traumatized by his past. Oh, it was even angstier than I imagined. A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!!!! Daddy kink, check, Daddy/Little dynamics, check, blood and anger, check, raw feelings and oh my gosh steamy encounters, check!!!
Booker and Zak already have a connection but are both so stubborn. One would think that with the club accepting who they love it's a no-brainer - be together and be happy. But while Booker has turned hard to protect himself when life has never been easy for him, Zak is another matter altogether. I thought I figured it out, but the author threw a wicked curve ball. Wow. I liked both men nevertheless. Their loyalty to the club despite the secrets they keep, their strength when $h*t gets tough, their passion for each other and acceptance of Fable are amazing and show what honorable men they are.
Fable is a strong character despite his protests. To be able to love and be kind despite what he has been through (and I do not mean his kidnapping alone) is a testament to his courage and fortitude. I loved his little side, how open and sweet he was as well as his shy side when he opened up to both Zak and Booker. I loved the moments when the three of them had quiet fun times as well as set the sheets on fire times - so dirty, naughty and kinky!
I loved Booker's aunt Hyacinth! She rocked. I mean the woman wasn't phased by anything and made sure that everyone toed the line. OMG, I want to be aunt Hyacinth when I grow up! There were plot twists that I expected and there were some I did not. Nobody escaped unscathed. Reapers and life took their pound of flesh figuratively and literally speaking. Those were intense moments. I loved how the author concluded this book. It was not all roses and sunbeams. Life will never be the same for Booker, Zak and Fable, but maybe some good things came out of it all. I can't wait to see who Ms Holmes will torment, I mean, give a chance to fall in love next. Amazing fast paced intense roller coaster of a novel. Copy received for my honest and unbiased review
My first 5-star rating in a while, and it's all because of Zak.
Also, Grimm Tales reminds me why I prefer series about the same couple: I'm not ready to say goodbye to Zak and Booker's POV. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but I want more of all of them.
I do have to say that I enjoyed the first book much more then this one I don’t know why but I had a hard time get into this story but nevertheless it was a good book.

I took my time with this book because I wanted to savour every word and action. Gianni gets me every time. I had laughs and cries, lessons learned and came out a better person at THE END.
I was excited for this book after reading Grimm and Jamie's story. I was in for a whole heap of surprises. Gianni is certainly expanding her repertoire and I am loving it! MMM, daddy kink, medical issues and a moral of the story for everyone to think about.
It was not easy for Booker, Zak and Fable. These three men went through so much to be together. And I always say, it takes a forgiving human being to come out on the other side of misery. As happy endings go, this one was perfect. Getting there was what made the story.
And can I say, Gianni, we need some snippet of Aunt Hyacinth's past life, cus damn that woman is my hero!!
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
I adore this series and Fable's Foes is has a dark plot with a real mix of character personalities. Booker seems so harsh to start with but he softens whenever he's around Zak and, quickly, around Fable. Zak clearly has a big secret and is just waiting for the fallout but he clearly has strong feelings for Booker and, quickly, Fable. Fable has clearly had a hard start to life with the extent of bullying and family drama slowly revealed through the book. He struggles to live a life balanced with his Little side and everything is thrown into chaos when he's kidnapped and then rescued by the Grimm Reapers. Booker is the guy charged with watching over him, though is unsure as to whether they should kill Fable because he knows of the club's involvement in the rescue of Fable and Jamie. Zak is the perfect balance between them, calming Booker and easing Fable's fears. It doesn't take long for first Zak and then Booker to be aware that there's something different about Fable when he lets his true self come out and it's so great to read them take the revelation in stride. However, when Zak's secret comes out, things go so very differently. It really showcases how different all three men are from each other but also the different aspects of their personality that come out in certain situations. The three are perfect for each other even if it does take them all a bit of time to face the truth of that. Love, betrayal, drama, playtime all work together to bring a gripping story filled with highs and lows and a wonderful MMM relationship. It provides everything that each man needs, whether they knew it or not. It's a gripping story from the start that has several different aspects all working alongside each other to give the reader a lot to think about, understand and enjoy right from the start. The motorcycle club is full of intriguing characters, some of which I cannot wait to read more about, especially Cass and the twins. Definitely a recommended book! I would also say to read book one as the end of that one overlaps with the start of this but it's not fully necessary to enjoy this book. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
I DNF'd at 47% and it was totally a me thing. I feel bad because I was looking forward to this book but I just haven't been able to bring myself to get back into it from setting it down a few days ago. What I discovered about myself is that although I read a short story about a Daddy/little, it just didn't appeal to me one bit and it carried over to me even more in this book. I have found that a lot of things that I didn't know about or understand before reading MM, I have become to accept and a lot of times even like some of the sub-genres like mpreg and even Daddy/boy and it didn't always happen right away. Sometimes, I had to read a couple of stories to really get into it, but I started to enjoy them. For some reason, I just can't with this one and somehow I don't think I will.
I am very happy that there's something for everyone and that there are people are willing to write so many different genres.
Soooooooo much was packed into this second book. To understand this one you should read 0.5 "Boyfriend Booked" Zak and Booker's story. It gives you Booker's backstory and how he fell for Zak the first time and we get a prelude of Fable.
Dear Lord, from the first page of Fable's Foes, I was hooked. Part of Gianni Holmes' Grimm Reaper's MC club series, it's angsty as hell, as well as so freaking good!
Omg, I just love everything about this book. It's an amazing blend of kink and danger, all woven with so many layers that I was constantly surprised at the depth of this story. What starts as a story of two MC club members and a young man who's saved, soon turns into one of the most emotional and multi-layered books I've ever read.
This story includes a complex storyline, full of a developing triad and age play. Add in some undercover work, plenty of danger and action, and an amazing element of intrigue throughout, and wow, just wow!
First let's talk about the men. Booker's a complicated man with a complicated past. Seeing him torn by his feelings for both Fable and his loyalties to others is breath-taking. I love it all. Zac meanwhile, is suddenly more than the readers expect when his secrets are revealed. And then there's Fable. Ohhh, sweet, lovable Fable. His upbringing is gut-wrenching, and his needs are fascinating.
It's tough to explain how impressive this story is. It's a wonderful mix of Daddy kink, age play, and forced proximity, mixed in with danger, action, and suspense. And then, then we get even more layers of deliciousness with all the emotions involved.
Now, for the kink side of things. I can't get enough of Fable and his younger side. And, oh my, diapers. I can't explain why I love reading age play with diapers, but I really do. Everything about this works for me. Everything.
And then there's the sex. Booker and Zac have long been hot together, but add in the growing attraction they both feel for Fable, and wow! And that's not even talking about the emotions involved. Let's just say this is a delicious developing triad.
And if I wasn't already impressed, the author throws in some brilliant humor in Booker's aunt who I fell in love with immediately.
Ohhh, Fable's Foes is so fucking good. This Gianni Holmes treasure is a story that will leave you on the edge of your seat throughout, completely riveted by the levels of betrayal and the severity of tough choices that need to be made. I Love, love, love this book! It's an absolute must read the next time you're in the mood for severe angst.
I was so excited when I found out Booker & Zak would be getting a third 😊 I bloody loved the majority of the book and the story progression was brilliant.
Fable was exactly how I thought he would be, sweet, innocent and sometimes sassy. Zak was the comic relief, loveable biker & Booker was the broody, serious and sometimes scary as hell enforcer. These three together were explosive and I definitely enjoyed there relationship building.
I felt the last 15-20% was quite rushed. I would have liked to have seen a little more on paper rather than a jump in time, maybe I’m being greedy and I just wanted more of these boys.
WOW! I don't even know where to begin with this review.
What I love about this book is the contrast between the violence of the world the characters live in and the beauty of their feelings. Admittedly, it wasn't an easy story to read, especially the beginning, but I got sucked into the complexity of the characters and their emotions. Booker, Zak and Fable were troubled men, with so many issues that I'd thought they wouldn't go past them and make their relationship work. Their dynamic was a surprise and and incredible combination of fun, tenderness and insane chemistry.
Fable's Foes was an intense read. Suspense, violence, angst, anger were the backdrop for what the three protagonists were building together. But it was also full of surprises, so much laughter, genuine affection and most definitely, so much love.
Stunned, I stared at him, temporarily disoriented. Unbalanced by my find. They were gorgeous. Dirty and bruised but gorgeous. And those pouty lips. - Booker

My Opinions on:
- Lower spice than the first book. This one continues the Daddy kink but with age play and age regression. This is not mixed in with their intimate moments and is also not super plentiful throughout the book. There is a lot that happens and for having three POV’s, Gianni did good with them being very individual personalities and helped make the tracking easier. - Booker: Not nearly as much of a cold bad ass as he thought he was, I think he should have had to work harder after how mean he was to Fable though. I did like that in the end he chose Zak and Fable, but I was nervous there for a minute, even though I know it’s a HEA. By the end I felt he put more of his heart out there with more risk. He was definitely the protector of both of them. - Fable: Sometimes sweet, sometimes kind of rude? Idk, maybe it was a defense mechanism of sorts. I have read other DDLB books and it didn’t feel much like how those do, BUT this is Gianni and an OMC, it’s bound to be different. That and his upbringing probably contributed. It comes across as him not being as involved in the throuple emotionally/physically, but he is also new and the others have a history so that makes sense. - Zak: He had the most in my opinion to overcome emotionally with his rough past and all. He was a natural caregiver and didn’t think twice about entertaining Fable when he slipped into Little space. He made a bad choice plant wise but they also wouldn’t all be together if he hadn’t. - Favorite Moment: Booker and Zak calling Jamie to ask questions about Fable and his “habits”. They took it to heart and knew how important it was. They probably already loved Fable and accepted him without a second thought. And props to Jamie for how well he communicated all the information too. - World Building: Very consistent, personalities all match up well as does the continuation of the timeline. - Favorite Side Character(s): Aunt Hyacinth of course, she a baddieeeeeee. “People around that place are afraid of them, but I can drive the fear of god into Booker.” - Hardest Part: Grimm at the end after the truth comes out. I know he’s the president and needs to have those feelings towards what was learned with Zak. But my heart just wanted him to be more emotional with Booker when it was just the two of them.
In love. Who said anything about love? But the denial stuck in my throat. I was. In love with him and Fable. - Booker

Fable is such a sweet, wonderful, and loving boy. He definitely needs to have someone who can love him and love all of him so much. I mean, I just wanted to walk into the book and cuddle him and take care of him because he was just so sweet.
Booker was a good guy and very protective, but he's also got a really, really hard shell that it can be hard to get through. I disliked how he treated Fable at the very beginning. I'm not entirely sure that he was meaning to be so hateful toward Fable, as much as he was trying to protect himself.
Zak was a good man too. He was a little naive, I think, but mostly good. I get why he was doing the undercover stuff. But, he's really good with Booker and even better with Fable.
I want like 1000000000 more stories with these guys.

Il n'y a pas de pardon avec les Faucheurs. Vous faites une connerie et vous en payez les conséquences.
Booker (vice president, capitaine de route et Exécuteur)
📖 Un agent de police sans cœur… Un vif d'or infiltré amoureux…

So much of this book felt so all over the place, and no matter what we were doing I always felt like we were skipping ahead and missing something. I’ve never read a polyamorous book before (though I quite enjoyed that aspect of it, so I will look for more that do it better) so maybe it was due to the multiple perspectives, but it all just felt like a blur. We would have some parts told by one character, skip to a new one, go back for a new one and it would just be such a mess. I always felt like I was missing something.
Next off, I am not one to kink shame but… I am definitely not pro…. whatever the hell was happening in this book. I had, honestly, no idea what this book was about and thought that the “little” part in the description was a misspell (not uncommon in this author’s books…. like at all) so little did I know I had a big storm coming. It made me very uncomfortable, but I digress. Not to yuck anyone’s yum or anything.
Lastly, the entire last 25% of the book knocked it down a star, just like ‘Biker Daddy.’ I really loved biker daddy, but found the dreary, depressing ending to get not only repetitive but also pointless. I don’t understand why we needed to have SO MUCH darkness happen to the characters when the entire book was fine before. Zak did not need to have all that happen to him, and yet it did and it just pissed me off.
I also did not like Booker’s player-ness but, as I said in ‘Biker Daddy’ I hate that plot point too.
Lastly, I don’t love how underdeveloped Fable’s trauma was. I understand I am not one to talk on something like this as I am not a survivor of SA, but all the instances where it were mentioned just felt…. gross? They were just like… wow points to add more shock/anger on already written and developed scenes so it just really begs the question of why it needed to be there at all?
Nevertheless, I enjoyed when the three were together (most of the time) but everything else kind of pissed me off. The middle 40% of this book was really good and I enjoyed it a lot. The rest? ehhhh.
I am actually crying in a hole knowing I have to force myself through Cass’ book next. That book is going to be this series’ final boss for me I swear.
For the longest time, I wanted to give this a lower rating but the last 25 % persuaded me that this is solid 5*!
This is a slow burn with two distinctive plot lines. And that is what bothered me. A half of the story felt more about Zak and Booker, and Fable was quite on the side. That made the relationship somewhat imbalanced, but! Once they started including Fable more into everything, the imbalance slowly disappeared.
There was also a plot twist (well not really because it is in the blurb too) about Zak. And I think that could've been revealed much much later. We know about it (but others not) and it is only resolved in the last 15 %. And I was really frustrated. Zak had so many chances to actually come clean, but no. I understand his reasons but it was still frustrating.
What I loved was the love these three had for each other. I loved the bit of mystery about Fable's kidnapping. And I also quite liked the slow burn aspect of their relationship and the slow opening up of all towards each other.
I still love the side characters but fuck the fuckers who did what they did (iykyk). Mort and Cass are still dumbasses in love, the twins? I need a book with them!
The second book in the Grimm Tales of Smoky Vale where the Grimm Reapers MC is frowned upon and whom the town wants to get rid of. But although the bikers might be scary, they are a family and brothers and have eachother backs. Unless you brake their trust. Then you better run and hide. In book 1 we learned that Jamie was kidnapped, together with Fable, the mayor's son. He is held in Booker's room on the MC compounds, and Fable is terrified of Booker. But Zak looks after Fable too and becomes the bridge of sunshine between the two men. Zak and Booker had a fake boyfriend period and to have his feelings spared, Zak called it off. All of their brothers know they are destined to be together, but it is Fable who makes them see they all belong to eachother. Fable has hidden his needs for so long. Being gay and being a little doesn't sit well with his parents. But with Zak and Booker he can be himself and soon this trio is in deep. Booker becomes more human, Zak is the clown and Fable is the little one who cares deeply for his daddy and pappa. Zak hides a deep secret however, and until he can solve his problem, he hangs on to his newfound love. But soon things go out of his control, and he needs to confess to Booker and Grimm. Even if it means Booker might need to kill him for his betrayal. This book gets you hooked from the start and Gianni is a master in making this book come alive as if you were there right beside the main characters. The emotions are strong and you deeply feel for these guys. I can't wait for the next one in this series.
I really enjoyed this read (up until the end) Holmes knows how to steam up the panties! This was a solid 4 stars except with 2 major details IMO that made me drop it to 3
I’ll start with my positives before I begin my rant (there is your warning…lol)
I enjoyed the age play and Fable’s Little. The characters are well developed and easy to feel emotions for.
My heart broke with the extent of injuries that Zak endured and the permanence of some of them.
The idealization that Fable wouldn’t/didn’t have a traumatic response to sex after being repeatedly raped and beaten is so far fetched especially on how he reacted in the bathroom scene in CO.
Then there is the full on acceptance that Zak is okay with the beat down he received and even more so okay with Booker continuing in the club after the fact is ludicrous!!!!
I’m all for a HEA but this one was frustratingly disturbed. She made the MC so hard core and to the point with punishment (as a factual reality, within the stereotypes of MC club fiction)but then neglected the same factual reality against being raped and attacked and the natural response to either of those and adding in the full on acceptance of Zak’s attack and you’ve got one insulting and mind spinning ending.
The internal dialogue in my head with ridiculous responses and statements going through my head as I imagined the conversations between Zak, Booker, and Fable while making this decision….*insert eye roll*
I don’t think I’ve ever been so irritated with an ending before….

There’s so much emotion in this story and both the angst-filled and the happier, sweet moments are incredibly intense and so well-written. I love how filthy, almost elemental, the three MC’s get in the steamier scenes, it fits them, and it fits the depth of their connection. The initial antagonism between Booker and Fable is quite strong and creates a delicious tension between them as they gradually grow intrigued by each other and feel the first stirrings of an unwanted, and certainly inconvenient, attraction. Fable is like a hurt little bird and it’s amazing to see him grow stronger and start to flourish under Zak’s tender care and even Booker’s more gruff kind of protection. I really liked how Zak and Booker reacted to finding out about Fable’s little side and how the author wrote the age regression scenes. Zak and Booker have a history and they’ve loved each other longer, but once they both fall for Fable they value and love him with the same devotion. There’s never any doubt that the three of them are equal partners. Zak has a secret that can potentially rip them all apart and when the worst happens it’s up to Fable to help his men mend fences and find a way forward. I loved the plot twists in this story, how the danger and darkness comes from unexpected places & people, and of course, the deeply moving love story at its heart.
She's done it again- Gianni Holmes made me laugh, sizzle & bawl. I'm not a high fan of MC or polyamorous storylines (not because I'm a prude but because they can be pretty superficial or stereotypical) but this surpasses the tropes!
If you read the the first two books in the series (the first is a novella focusing on Booker & Zak, 2nd full length novel on Grimm & Jamie) then this continues the complicated push and pull between Zak, the Reaper's funny man & best shooter, and the scowling enforcer, Booker to its breaking point. [NOTE: the author does an amazing job with the characters' backstory and development so you lose Nothing if you haven't read the first 2 books.] The reintroduction of Fable, the hostage in Book 2, blows up the Reaper's roles and understanding about who they are as a family and club. The Reaper's have always been a family- a brotherhood of loyalty and honor; but what happens when you have to decide between the family you've chosen and the men your heart can no longer deny? It is a rich and well-developed story that makes it impossible to hate anyone even if you wish you could.
This threesome is like nothing you've ever seen; and not just because their scenes are scorching hot and deliciously dirty. They will steal, crack and heal your heart while revving your motor into overdrive.
I'm definitely riding with the Reaper's series to the end (may it be a looong one).
