Milly Taiden (also writes as April Angel) was born in the prettiest part of the Caribbean (to her) known as the Dominican Republic. Currently, she resides in New York City with her husband, bossy young son and their little dog Speedy.

Every once in a while you come across a story that is so perfectly balanced with everything that you enjoy in a great novel. You find that this one book just sucks you in, Fearless Mating was that kind of novel for me. Marvelous romantic tension, strong and active plot and characters you can really sink your reader's teeth in to.

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I own this whole series!!

The cover is another dangerous but sexy cover! I like it!

This is the 4th book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content. While not mandatory to read them all in order, I highly recommend doing so because it makes the world and characters so much more!

This book had me from page 1, and I loved the whole adventure! As always Milly grabs your attention making it impossible for me to put the book down! I do love this world and the characters! I hope this series continues because it is a wonderful escape.

This is the Director’s story, and Josh does have an adventure and a mate who can keep up with his fierceness. I love how strong Candy is, but she has some baggage to deal with. I never knew where this story would go next!

I highly recommend to any shifter fan who wants adventure, action, military, and romance all wrapped in an epic story! I can’t wait to see what Milly comes out with next!

We have finally reached the book about Director Josh Tumbel.  I admit I've been curious about him and I was glad to see how his mate would show up.  Having a human who is hell bent on closing down the ALFA unit was probably one of the best fits!

Candy is smart and has skills to match the ALFA Director.  She's not cowered and she doesn't back down.  I really liked her character probably more so than some of the previous heroines in the series.

Josh felt a bit subdued at times, even tentative, and I wish he would've let loose a bit more.  But I think overall this is one of the best couples in this series. 

The sense of friendship and community was really felt in this story because the ALFA teams gets to work together and that may have been one of my favorite things.  Their interactions, their jokes, and the way they work as a team was excellent!

FEARLESS MATING is a quick and definitely entertaining read full of action and some government red tape.  Perfect for a fun pick me up.

This fast paced plot if full of adrenaline pumping action and thrills that keep readers on the edge of their seats and wondering what will happen next as the bad guys keep the characters as well as the reader guessing just what they are really up to and there are some exhilarating danger filled moments that add to the thrills and excitement.
 
Once again, Milly Taiden’s shifter law enforcement world kept me glued to the pages and once again the A.L.F.A. team has another sensational event where they need to put their skills to the test but this one is even spicier because Josh has met his match and she just may be tougher than he is. I can’t wait to see what Milly Taiden has in store for us next.

When Josh the director of A.F.L.A. meets Sergent Major Candice he realizes he found his mate but Candice thinks he is crazy. She is the person who wants to shut his group down because to her they make to many mistakes to get the job done. Josh is determined to prove her wrong and convince her to be his mate but trouble finds them before he has a chance. Josh has to decide does he risk exposing himself and his team as shifters to save the president and possibly risk losing Candice. Candice is one tough cookie and might not have a problem with shifters but she is gonna fight to be called someone’s mate. Story has dangerous situations and some funny moments that make this an enjoyable read.

Fearless Mating was such a fun read!! You have one human woman, determined to make it in a male dominated world, one wolf shifter who finds the human woman totally hot, and some deranged Russians trying to kidnap the president!

Candy is fierce! She is a Sergeant Major and flew helicopters into war zones. Now, she works for the president. Unfortunately, she wants to cut the ALFA unit because, on paper, they look like a bunch of screw ups! She goes to tell Director Josh Trumbel, but sparks fly. Candy had a rough life and is very defensive. Josh isn't deterred though! However, before Josh can begin to pursue Candy, the NIB is taken over by Russian terrorists. Josh and his team work with Candy to save the hostages, but then the president is in danger. There is LOTS of action and its a really quick read (partially because of the action!). If you like growly, alpha shifters, strong, independent women, and danger, Fearless Mating is a great pick for a weekend read!

Right from the start Candace is showing her authority by getting ready to shut down A.L.F.A. Josh knows right off the bat that he is dealing with his mate. Unfortunately his mate is a very strong willed and emotionally distant. Josh must work hard not only to win over his mate, but to save his department from being dissolved.

A hostage situation soon reveals to Candace just what kind of group she is trying to shut down. A.L.F.A.'s unique skills are essential in getting the hostages to safety and taking care of those responsible. Candace takes the fact that A.L.F.A. are shifters pretty well. If they can help her save people, then she's all for it. The sparks fly between Candace and Josh when Candace starts realizing how much they have in common and how she can't keep her walls up against him.

Once again we get an adventure with a lot of history involved. Underground tunnels and old bones mixed with lessons in relationships from the President and his First Lady kept me entertained and interested in getting answers to age old questions. Fearless Mating was a fun ride with adventure, action and romance to keep you turning the pages.

I think Fearless Mating marks the last of the men to find their mates. I'm interested to see if recruitment gets started and some of those men get stories. Otherwise I think this may be the end. I don't know for sure, but it felt like the end to me. That would be ok with me, because the A.L.F.A. series has revealed a great new author to me and now I see I have quite a few books she has written that I can binge on!This review was originally posted on Rantings of a Reading Addict

This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. Milly Taiden didn't disappoint me in this book you could tell the immediate attraction

Candy thpught that she knew everything but there is more than just what's on paper. Josh knew is was is mate but also she was there to shut the down. Now this is where it gets interesting because all hell breaks loose. With them working together just what alk they accomplished. You know some of the storage kind of feel sorry for the character and then you won't laugh with a character then you can't get mad right along with character. So I highly recommend this book

Told with humor and female empowerment this paranormal romantic suspense kept me enthralled from the first page till the last. Josh and Candy are fun together. Though this is part of a series it can be read stand alone.

Fearless Mating by Milly Taiden is the 4th book in her A.L.F.A. series. . Though each book revolves around an A.L.F.A. agent and finding his mate, these do read very well as standalones.

Josh Trumbel, our hero, is the director of A.L.F.A, as well as a wolf shifter. When he meets a new government official, he is shocked to see that she is his mate. Sergeant Major Candace Obermeier, our heroine, is a tough woman, who works in a new position reporting to the new president. She is determined to save money for the budget, and when she meets the director, she tells him she is immediately shutting down his office. Josh doesn’t take her too seriously, as he is still in shock and very happy to be looking at his mate. Before he can explain to her the value of his group, she ups and leaves telling him to make sure he tells his employees. Candace is in a rush to get out of Josh’s office, as she feels a strong attraction to him, making her feel uncomfortable, as she is not interested in men, except to rule them.

Later that evening, at a dinner honoring A.L.F.A., Candace shows up and reminds Josh to tell his team not to come to work the next day. But just then, all hell breaks loose as a Russian terrorist group takes over part of the building, forcing Josh and Candace to work together. Though Candace tries to take control, she will see Josh and his men in a different light, as she discovers they are shifters, which also gives them other benefits to fight off enemies.

What follows is an ultra exciting, action packed story, with Candace, Josh, his team trying to stop the terrorists and discover who and why they are under attack. During their rescue attempts, Josh continues to flirt and call Candace his mate. At first she ignores him, but slowly she finds herself succumbing to his advances, especially when he keeps finding ways to kiss her. When things are under some kind of control, both Candace and josh have a bad feeling that something is still not right. This will escalate as they discover the new president is the target. When they will race to protect the President and First lady, they begin to get closer, as their lives are in constant danger. One of the best things about this series is Taiden’s trademark humor throughout, as well as being very sexy. You can’t help but laugh at some of the situations, and find yourself enjoying the banter, even in difficult spots. Just when things seem over, both Candace and Josh will find themselves in a death defying situation that looks hopeless.

I did like Candace and Josh, and even enjoyed the President and his wife. I was surprised how I came to like Candace, as she was a bit too tough and unbending early on. Josh was simply great, and you knew in time he would change her mind about him, as well as the A.L.F.A team.

Fearless Mating was an exciting, suspenseful story, with lots of action. If you enjoy paranormal romances, with humor and suspense, as well as a hot sexy read, then you should be reading this series. Milly Taiden once again gives us another fun filled exciting story.

My hope is that Millie Taiden will continue the A.L.P.H.A. series with the new group of men and women starting their careers as A.L.P.H.A. I want more of this series and these A.L.P.H.A.S.
Millie Taiden's Fearless Mating is a suspenseful, sexy and funny. She shows you what happens to a closed off woman when she meets the man of her dreams. Lives are saved, and turned upside down when the two main characters come together. As they work together to save the First Couple from terrorists and fall in love. The rollercoaster ride hits the high point when our heroes meet up with the terrorists. Can they come together and save the First Couple? Will the ALPHAS be shut down. Will the hero over come his mate's trepidation in starting their relationship and will he win her heart?

Director Tumbel isn't paying attention to what Sargent Major Obermier is saying because his mate is sitting in front of him. Candy finally refocuses Josh's attention. When he realizes that his department is going to be shut down he know who to talk with at the dedication ceremony for the ALPHAS. Before he can talk to their boss he's introduced to Candy by the man who's to help them. Josh's men pick up on the sexual tension and his reaction to her and start making comments. Candy is by the book and takes them all to her office to tell them she's shutting down the ALPHAS. Their discussion is interrupted by gunfire and a hostage situation at the ceremony. The men wanting to protect their mates are ready for take care of the situation only to be stopped by Candy. They can't tell her who they really are but Josh thinks about it. When the two of them go to get information his team shift and go to take care of the terrorists outside. Candy & Josh make their way to the security room where they have better access to the hostage situation. They try not to notice their attraction to each other. When he goes outside and Candy follows the teams secret is revealed to Candy. She's thrown at first and injures one of Josh's men and then the teams special skills are explained with a less threatening version of what a mate means. Josh finds out about Candy's past. Candy learns about her origins. They solve the hostage situation and make there way to the White House to check on the President. When bombs start going off in the White House Candy and Josh are pulled into service protecting the First Couple. Candy sees what a loving relationship is like and they find historical treasures and the remains of a body. They escape from under the White House and are taken back to the hostage sight only to be kidnapped by one of the terrorists. Candy's flying skills are put to use to help the man escape. They try to escape and are almost successful. Josh is injured for the second time trying to protect his mate. Candy realizes what a mate really is. She makes Josh shift and they're saved. Candy brings Josh home and they talk about their future. After Candy's retirement she becomes pregnant and they are briefed by their superior about the body in they found. Candy gets a surprise.

All I can say is I want MORE of the A.L.P.H.A.S!!!!!!!!

Une saga qui se termine, et je me rends compte que j'ai lu le 3/4 cette année! Alors on peu clairement dire que ce n'est pas rien, surtout venant de moi.

Que dire de cette histoire ? Déjà, j'ai vraiment apprécié le personnage de Candy et son histoire tourmentée qui a forgé sa personnalité. Josh, lui, je l'ai trouvé un peu cliché mais son âme soeur m'a fait lui pardonner ce point. J'ai vraiment aimé l'histoire presque sans fin de cette journée qu'ils ont passée ensemble qui est un sacré mess mais qui m'a bien fait rire j'avoue.

Que dire de cette fin de Saga du coup ? La première chose que je me demande est : il y a une suite liée à la question du colonel à la fin? Si oui, je veux la lire car l'écriture de cette autrice est un véritable doudou! pour le reste bah…, je suis triste de me dire qu'il n'y a pas de tome suivant pour les jours où j'ai besoin de décompresser mais je vais survivre je pense. En plus, ça me permet d'avancer dans d'autre sagas commencées (ou d'en commencer de nouvelles!!!).

This is Book 4 in the An A.L.F.A. series. What a good book! I really enjoyed reading it. It can be read as a stand-alone with no problem. I haven’t read any of the other books in the series and understood everything with no problems. Josh is the director of A.L.F.A. and is a wolf shifter. When Sergeant Major Candace Obermeier shows up at a meeting with him, he realizes she’s his mate. This is a book that’s filled with all kinds of action. Bombs are going off everywhere and it’s just so exciting to see how Candace overcomes a bad childhood and realize that Josh is the best thing out there. She’s such a strong woman but has some fears to overcome. With the help of Josh, The President and the First Lady, along with all of Josh’s friends, she grows so much. This book will keep you on your toes from the beginning to the end. Now I’m off to get the first 3 books in the series. I can’t wait to read them to see if they are as good as this one was.

Josh is a very territorial man, "he slipped his pants on, foregoing the boxers. “Turn around.” A growl came from him. “My mate sees no one else naked.” Josh needs to work on his deal making skills, “you let me coddle and overprotect you everywhere we go,” he said." I liked this book, I loved Josh he was the playful to Candice's seriousness.

Very enjoyable.

This is a very enjoyable read. Candace was a extremely hard nut to crack, but when the fates get involved with mating, she hasn’t got a chance. Josh and the ALFA squad are on the chopping block, but all it takes is a terrorist attack for them to prove their worth. This was a well written story that kept me entranced from beginning to end,

Final? In series

This, the fourth in the series, is fantastic! It has all the drama, adventure and thriller aspects need to make a story flow well while keeping the romance too! Candy and Josh start off on a bad footing but when disaster strikes, they find they can get along and actually work well together!
A fabulous read and well worth it!

3.5 stars as one part just didn’t work for me.
Josh and Candace are a perfect pairing.
Loved both of them as a couple as their strengths bolstered the other and they worked through any weaknesses.
I was thoroughly loving this action packed romp but then we had the last couple of chapters that just didn’t make sense.
They allowed, in fact flew, the baddie to another location, where they would be outside US jurisdiction/help and have no idea of what situation they would be in.
I believe the author was trying for a nail biting finish but it just didn’t work for me.
Loved the ending with everyone together and the surprise.
Read through my local library.

Not bad, liked this story better than the last book. If you know your American history this book may interest you. There's a bit of name dropping that I had to Google (especially that last line!).
