*****
Ryan Knightley is just trying to make it through her freshman year of college without any issues, but she ends up being accidentally placed in a male dorm and is roomed with Nixon Hyze, the most notorious drug dealer on campus. She finds herself intertwined with Nixon after someone close to her dies, and quickly loses herself in the same substances her roommate sells. Nixon's playboy best friend, Seth Jameson, wants to save her...but the more boys she gets involved with, the more out of control Ryan's life seems to get.

Holy Mackerel, this was a good book! I plan to read this over and over again. The spectrum of emotions I get when I read this story are just all over the place and it's absolutely fantastic. The author kept us all guessing until the end how this was all going to end up and there were definitely several well-thought-out but completely surprising plot twists. The characters have a lot of depth. As I read this story, I was crying, laughing, and yelling at different points through all of the things that happened. Katy is an astronomical author and I really hope she has a successful future publishing career because I would love to read more from her. On a separate point, there are a lot of very subtle and not-so-subtle social commentaries in the story that really add to everything in just the right ways (slut shaming, ethnic diversity of characters/friends, addiction issues, the pressures of being a college student, the emotional depth and complexity of falling in love, and just the whole concept of 'do nice guys finish last').
