She appeared on the literary scene in 1893, published a novel and two collections of stories in that year, a further story ("The Blue Room") in 1897, and then nothing more. Readers of "The Empty Picture Frame," "The Case of Sir Nigel Otterburne," "The Trainer's Ghost" and "The Seance Room" will recognise the Victorian spirit at its finest.

Lettice Galbraith is a novelist who had a mysterious life, just like her stories.
Nobody knows what happened to her after she published a few books in the 1890s. Some people used to say she vanished just like the mysterious characters she wrote.
This book is an amalgamation of a supernatural mystery and a crime mystery. Maine is an upcoming artist who is searching for a new model. One fine day, bolt out of the blue, a mysterious, beautiful female model turns up at his door. He thinks that his friend, who knows he needs a model, has sent her to him.
The mannerisms of the model are all very strange. One fine day she disappears just like she first appeared. Maine and his friend try to find out what actually happened.
Some of the harsh realities shared by the author will be a little hard to digest, especially about the marital life of female models during the 19th century.
This book, though small, will give you an exciting reading experience due to the author's excellent writing skills.
