The second volume in this series. I just cannot resist reading it despite the harsh subjects. I am also not in the mood to write a long review, so here is a short one. I still love Haru, but I so so worry about her, especially in the chapter with that guildmaster's son and what he did to her, what he forced her to do. Thankfully, that is one of heaviest chapters/parts, the rest are about her having easy sex with two other customers, Kiyori has an interest in Chiba (why?) and I had a laugh at Haru trying to make her see that she should go for it, we also see Chiba and Haru reminiscence and my heart just broke. Yes, maybe there is a way back... but do you want to go back to that world in which you died? What will happen? I am glad that they had this conversation despite the heaviness of it.
Chiba still isn't my favourite, I am just not a fan of how he keeps pushing while Haru is clearly not interested in him that way. Just back off then. Sure, that room is nice of him, but will he get the hint she is not the maid or his slave?
I also love that Haru has found a guy she is interested in and I cannot wait to see more of him and get to know him.
Will be reading the next volume when I am up for this one again. Haha, it is not one to read in one go.

Another great volume.

I think the thing with this series is the excellent main lead and her supporting cast. This time we had a lot of cute stories, one with the fatty who our main lead finally sleeps with. It's cute. There's also another one at the start that was funny as hell with her being in cat ears.

Then there's the piece of shit, gotta show I'm the big tough guy, who's disgusting and a piece of shit. I'll be honest this scene was not easy to read and I really didn't like it, but understood why it was done to show the contrast of how some guest of the sex shop are fine, normal, and cute and others are pieces of shit.

Overall, still a way better series than I ever expected. A 4 out of 5.

I read the original novel after reading the first volume of the manga adaptation and have now continued on to the second volume of the manga. I can now see that it's a pretty faithful adaptation story-wise, but the fan-service art and the manga trope of self-censoring penises out of the art but showing everything else as if it were there really push this toward pure erotica, diluting and obscuring the dark undertones of the original book.

This volume gets us about halfway through novel. I'm going to stick around, because I'm very curious to see how the fourth volume handles the novel's conclusion.

Volume 2 was enjoyable as the first. Personally I enjoy Haru and her "business" sense. Introducing dare I say "pet play" into this world she was winded up in? The scene with the brothel owners son is pretty hard, and I'm aware other readers found it extremely hard to read through. Personally, it has that hint or realism for Haru as a sex worker. She can't refuse and has to go with what's going on as this is just the way of the world (well, where she winded up anyway). It sucks, to put it plainly. Sumo was a real knight in shining armor and he's adorable with how gentle he was/is with Haru. As for other thoughts, very interested in the stranger who only ever shows up when it rains and Chiba is as annoying as ever. Good on Haru for refusing the "easy way" to go and live with him, her moment of missing her old life is once more realistic that not a lot of isekai's brush on. Most isekaid hero's/heroine's don't recall their former life, at least not in the best of lights more often than not.

A harsh, unflinching satire of the cliche character and setting tropes within modern Fantasy.

This volume brings with it the consistency of the first, looking at the means through which Haru has to survive in a world so thoroughly fucked by sexism. The character writing and the art are both really expressive, and the way sex work was handled was frank and upfront.

For a story taking place in a world so different from our own, the most poignant aspects come from seeing that discrimination, abuse, as well as the trauma and coping mechanisms that come from them, seem to be universal, no matter where one is.

I really wanna root for her to succeed and see the story through to the end, even though the subject matter makes for hard reading.

Good read.

This changed up since the last one with more characters/leads and a lot of “tough” guys thinking they’re everything and think they can rule Haru and embarrass her. Luckily she’s not stupid like them, she’s more innovative and gets out the cat ears and she goes up in her sex working world.

But this one was really sweet, a young lad who mentioned he’s overweight and Haru treated him like a king and really made him forget about what he perceives as ailments. With this Anime it’s nice for this to be seen.

Another good volume.

I bought this as soon as I saw it was available. I really love this dark-ish fantasy where Haru is trying to endure fantasy misogyny.

This volume is way more intense than the previous one which I hadn't expected. I didn't mind it at all, and am excited for what happens in the next volume.

Also, she ends up in this fantasy world after getting hit by a truck. So leaving the fantasy world isn't really an option, so she will be forced to make due.

This is all very interesting!

this volume tackles a few heavier scenes, including an awful one at the brothel that manages to end on a happy (and strangely cute) note, plus some serious conversations between haru and chiba about the world they left behind. I’m seriously hoping chiba wisens up soon and quits trying to force the harem/maid situation on her (ugh). we get an introduction to a new character too, one whom I know is about to be a major part of haru’s life…who is this mysterious stranger??

Pretty shocking and gross events occur but a light appears at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully the series takes Haru into more positive character development instead of being glued to income.

This series continues to be a smashing success. It keeps the comedy up, but now there are elements of real life problems as well as maybe a hint of romance. I love this series so much.

I didn’t like how kind this volume was towards Chiba’s creepy bullshit, honestly. He’s a misogynistic creep and I don’t think he deserves the slack the author keeps giving him, as though being bullied for being a weirdo looser somehow excuse his selfishness, narcissism, self-involvement, and downright disregard for women’s right and well-being, despite being from our world where he should’ve grown up with a modicum of these values.

Excellent second installment. It has hooked me again. Biggest take away is that I LOVE Sumo. He is precious and should be protected at all costs. Also, I can't wait for more on mysterious man with the serious face.
