Jean Adamson was a British writer and illustrator of children's books. She was best known for the Topsy and Tim books, the first of which was published in 1960 and which have sold 27 million copies. Adamson's creations were also featured widely on television in 84 episodes of Topsy and Tim.
This was a childhood favourite, Topsy and Tim go to visit the nearby farm to collect some food for mummy. This is obviously a lot better than factory farming but still this is a farm using animals for products. It doesn't show meat products but vegan families might want to avoid this one. As a vegetarian child I just loved seeing all the animals.
I loved the topsy and Tim books when I was a child. I haven’t seen the books for years. I can across this on my Libby library reading app. So had to read it. Topsy and Tim are brother and sister who have different kinds of adventures all the time. As I remembered short little books so a quick read. Enjoyed this. Rated as 5 for child hood memories.as the t and t books were the first books I ever read.
Evelyn (age 7) says "I think it's good for little ones because they can learn about the farm and how to feed the calves and the other animals"
Alice (age 4) says "I love the girl In the book cuz she was feeding cows and I like her because she feeded the baby calf first and it's really awesome and she went home with her brother to tell her mother then they forgot the eggs but they got them back".
