The view of the city and of life in Neapel in this book is very romanticised and privileged. It is like a children's book that describes a fairy tale.
The book describes a way of life that you imagine when you think of Italy, but it is far from reality.
If you want to portray the soul of the city, portray it realistically, with all its facades, and don't paint everything pink and glittery when it obviously isn't.

I've just finished it because I've already bought it, but as an Italian (with a Neapolitan Nonna) I wouldn't recommend it.
