I am obsessed with this series. Mr. September had me with one of those cheesy grins on my face throughout the book. Brady and Morgan were adorable from the beginning. He was her knight in grey jeans and she was his love at first site moment. You would think with the “baggage” she was carrying he would run off, no question. But he stuck with her and fought for and with her until the end. They moved fast but when you know you know. Mr. September was different from the others and that’s what I loved about it. It still has the sex appeal and romance but the story line was different and in a good way. Finding love after heartbreak is so beautiful and makes me all giddy! Bring on Mr. October.
I absolutely have fallen for this series and Mr. September was so no exception! I couldn’t help but read it in one sitting and throwing up the middle finger to my sleep schedule 😂
Brody is out for for drinks and sees a gorgeous woman walk in and he stares so long that he catches her date trying to roofie her. Brody quickly steps in and saves her from the creeper but she’s not sure what to think of her knight in shining armour but he’s hot so why not go with it. Brody isn’t letting this chance get away from him and pursues her. Later they find out that Brody is also Coach Owens, Morgan’s sons new coach! Insert typical awkwardness but Brody is having none of it and doesn’t care, and Morgan’s son Ethan is team Brody once he negotiates some NBA tickets out of him lol. Although the new found little family is the cutest Morgan finds herself being stalked and Brody becomes the ultimate protector. This book has a little suspense, lots of love and a hint spice so if your looking for a quick good read pick this up on KU!!🥰🥰🥰🥰
This may be my favorite month yet! Sports star hero and a single mom. How can you say no? Mr. September is so much more than that though. There is drama, suspense, steaminess and swoon worthy moments.
Brody spots Morgan across the bar and when he notices something suspicious, he jumps right in and becomes her knight in grey jeans. There is an instant attraction and instant chemistry between these two. Brody also turns out to be the head coach of her teenage sons basketball team.
I loved that Morgan was a super awesome single mom and that her son was a teenager. I love Brody, I mean how can you not?! He is super sweet, hot and not afraid to go alpha to protect Morgan. Morgan’s son, Ethan, provided a few laughs throughout the story. Much needed when it came to all the suspense in this one.
These Calendar boys are amazing and each month they just get better and better, but I think Brody is going to be a tough one to beat.
Brody is the type of guy you hope to meet. He sees something bad happening and steps in to help. He is a protective alpha male with a heart of gold. When he first sees Morgan he is instantly attracted and can’t take his eyes off her. Morgan is a single mom with a great kid that happens to coached by Brody. When Brody saves her she finally meets a man that can be all for her as her son. She is confident and smart with a quick wit. That is until her past comes to call.great story with a touch of drama. . the banter between the characters is fun. Love this series.

Ooh Mr September 🤩🤩 I really, really loved this book. Brody is just super hunky and alpha and sweet and sexy and *fans self* just everything you're looking for. Morgan is a kick a** single mum who has a really bad date. Luckily, it's immediately followed up by meeting the man of my *cough* her dreams. I love that Ethan, Morgan's son, is older and provides some comedic relief for her.
I love the pinch of suspense, the hotness of Brody and all this book entailed.
Did I mention how hot Brody is?!
This book is definitely tied with Mr April as my favourite. Can't wait for October!
Another great, funny and sweet story. I loved Brody and how protective he was of Morgan. He was swoon worthy doing all the right moves to show how much he cared about her. I really liked Morgan. Despite being a young mom she didn't let that stop her in making her life better for her and her son. That "kid" cracked me up. Together they were adorably cute.
I'm not sure how or when I first got a chance to start this series but boy am I glad I did.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! Each time I pick up the next Calendar Boys book I know that I'm in for one heck of a ride, and this book did not disappoint! I was hooked from start to finish and could not put this book down.
Right from the start these characters and the story line drew me in and had me dying to know what was going to happen. There was drama, suspense and some HOT steamy chemistry!
Once again Nicole has knocked this out of the park! A must read book for sure! By Alisa
Two people who want each other but others have plans of their own where the new couple are involve. Single mother who brings more than sweet words and happy endings to the plate. Follow the danger, suspense and romance.

This was another good read in the series. In this one we have Morgan and Brody. Morgan is at the bar one night and a guy spiked her drink. Luckily for her Brody noticed and put a stop to it. He also happens to be her sons basketball coach. This allows them time together and to fall in love. The best part was that her son absolutely loved Brody too.
This story has a little of everything, sweet romance, sexy overbearing and frustrating alpha make and a beautiful woman who has the right heart and spirit. Thoroughly enjoying and entertaining.

A very simple nice heartfelt book. No unnecessary drama and that is the best part. Brody and Morgan were good together. Even though Morgan in the first few chapters was stupid enough to accept drunk from a stranger after an attempt to spike. They had good chemistry and I liked how Ethan supported them all way long. Chad is a topic id refrain to touch along with mentioning how satisfying it would have been if his pregnant wife got to know that he already has a son. Sadistic ik That’s how I am
I liked it but the love happened to fast. Brody was all protective and alpha, loved him. My heart went to Morgan and all she through with her baby daddy, she and Ethan deserved so much more and they got it when Brody showed up in their lifes
This was really cute! I started with September since I was introduced to this via booktok, but I will for sure finish the series! 🌶/5 peppers for spice.
Okay, so this might me my favorite book of the series. The tension was great, the characters were lovable, the story was interesting and it read fast. It was honestly really good.
Brody turns around from the group of boys who have finished their run and gathered around him. He pulls a baseball cap onto his head backwards and smirks at us, that sexy god damn twist of his lips that makes my belly flip. Christ.
We find out the kind of man Brody is right away. And somehow, he manages to keep getting better! Morgan was the woman he couldn’t take his eyes off of. And very quickly she becomes the woman he can’t keep his hands off of. He’s a proper gentleman, most of the time. He’s the kind of man Morgan deserves. I won’t say why they cross paths for the second time, but it is glorious! They very quickly both come to the decision that the things that could keep them apart, will not. If anything, all the drama and baggage only brings them closer. I was sucked in by their trust and comfort with each other. And the fact that they never tried to hide it, or any of their feelings, either. Morgan is willing to give Brody the space to come to terms with what is going on, but he won’t allow the space between them. It’s all or nothing. And he wants it all. They’re fun, their banter is easy. Brody never saw Morgan as a damsel in distress, but protected her all the same. She found the “unconventional things about him sexy, and I have to agree, He always waited for her to be inside her house before leaving. Helping her in and out of his car. My heart spent a lot of time in my throat with this one, always waiting for the next bad thing.

My Favorite Quotes: • “I thought you didn’t want me to be a gentleman?” • “You’re safe when you’re with me. I won’t let anyone do anything to hurt you. Alright?” • “Jesus, you know how to make a guy lose his mind.” • “I want to kiss you whenever I want, I don’t care what it costs me.” • “I don’t need perfect, but you know what? You’re as close as I’ve ever seen.” • “You’re really falling for me? Good, because you’re taking me down with you. • “Trust me, baby, this is you thanking me.”
7/10 Dirty Birdy 7/10 Single Parent 7/10 Sports Romance 8/10 Series
This is the ninth book in Nicole’s Calendar Boy series. This set of books has been amazing! I’m secretly praying she actually offers a calendar for us to purchase when this series is completed. Oh lord, would it be hot! These men keep getting better with each new book. So much male protectiveness but also that sweet and loving side = swoon for us! Loved this book and can’t wait for the next.
Brody and Morgan have one very intense relationship, the chemistry is hot! From the moment Brody licks eyes on Morgan in that bar he’s attracted to her. The moment he sees her life in danger he’s thrown off as his protector side lashes forward. The moment he sees her standing up for herself and demanding results he’s completely gone for...he knows that this woman is his, and he doesn’t even know her name yet! The second time he sees her its with her teenage son in tow signing him in for his training class...he’s her son’s new coach. Things are about to get very interesting! Brody doesn’t shy away from that though, he still wants to be with Morgan. She’s shocked. No man has ever put this much effort into any of the relationships she’s been in. What’s even more shocking is that he’s not running from her ex. He’s fighting for her, for them. Brody keeps her safe from the outside forces determined to hurt her, or get her back. Her ex is a nightmare waiting for her to break, her wanna be attacker is lurking in the shadows and beneath it all is Brody standing tall, keeping her safe, wrapping his arms of protection securely around her. How long will be willing to be her safety net? Or is he like so many others before her who couldn’t cut all her baggage. Will he stay or leave them too?
I received an ARC for my honest review but also purchased one for my personal collection. Love this series!
Title: Mr. September Series: Calendar Boys Book #9 Stand Alone Title: yes Author: Nicole S. Goodin Genre: Romance Blurb: Brody Owens. Ex-basketball superstar. Newly appointed coach. … And knight in shining armour.

Will Brody break her heart, just like the man before him? Or will Morgan find herself threatened by something other than love? Favorite quote(s): “My face is up here, Morgs.” “But your abs are down there,” she says with a laugh. Thoughts: This is another wonderful addition to this series. If you haven’t picked up any of these books yet, I highly encourage you to do so. Each one is amazing in their own right – and they can be read as stand alone titles. They each have a different theme or troupe to them, with Mr. September being a Little League coach. Brody was just your Mr. Perfect – and Morgan was a sassy minx. I enjoyed the witty banter, particularly from Morgan’s teenage son – he definitely added a little humor to the book! Another thoroughly enjoyable title by one of my new favorite authors! Absolutely LOVED this one!! Not only is it my favorite month because it’s my birthday month but it had so much going on, you just got sucked in!!!
The beginning and meeting of Brody played on your heartstrings as well as shocked the crap out of you in several ways!! Brody seems like THE MALE of the year!! I freaking adored him and all that he is and does throughout the book!! He really takes alpha male to a whole new level! The way he is with his team is so awesome and the relationship he has with the people closest to him is freaking hilarious to watch! He is the prefect man for September! 🤤
Morgan seems like a freaking badass woman who can handle herself but also will eagerly accept help from a sexy stranger. The woman she builds up to isn’t much different from the woman at the beginning BUT she is more confident and stronger than she thought she could be!
The emotions that get played with throughout are heart-stopping at times!! I couldn’t put this book down for one minute!! It has it all with swoon worthy men, shady men, creepy men, drama, sports, romance, sex, laughter, suspense and I even got the crap scared out of me. (Thinking of the worst.) I really had hopes for the end to be like a double twist but I was highly satisfied with the ending!! It made me jump up and down giddy with excitement!!! Congrats!! 😍💜😍
Do you believe in love at first sight? That's what happens when Brody saves Morgan from drinking a spiked drink in a bar. Attraction sizzles between them as he drives her home, and the text messages between them later that night are sexy and amusing. Imagine Morgan's surprise the next day when she finds out that Brody is her teenage son's new basketball coach and a famous retired player.
Morgan has shied away from men having been badly burned by her son's father. She has brought up her son alone, and has a successful career but much to her son's chagrin, Morgan finds herself wanting more and Brody is happy to oblige.
Suddenly sinister things begin to happen to Morgan and Nicole very successfully turns this love story into a thriller as we wonder who is doing this to Morgan and why? We have to fall in love with super sexy big teddy bear Brody determined to protect Morgan no matter what. Morgan's son Ethan is entertaining being a typical teenager but underneath he loves that his Mom is finding happiness at last.
I felt this to be a little different to the other books in the series, it was not so light and fluffy but had more of an edge to it. I really enjoyed trying to solve the mystery, and I was certainly not expecting the ending. This book was really well done and definitely worth a read.
I believe that Mr September’s story might be my best loved so far. Combining the sports star and single parent trope, it’s almost repetitive to say that Nicole Goodin has once again nailed it.
Told in my favourite dual POV, I love to see that her typical witty repartee between characters was ever present, and it seemed to really stand out for me in this book. Five chapters in, and I was sitting inside on a gorgeous winter’s day wanting to get this book finished in one hit. Washing for work be damned! I had a great book to get through!
Brody Owen was everything a perfect book boyfriend should be. If he’d arrive at my house on his unicorn that was farting rainbows, I’d be over the moon!! He was that beautifully written. He saved Morgan from a potentially dangerous situation, and continued to prove what kind of man he was, both to her, and to her son. I lapped it all up.
Ms. Goodin’s writing is solid, and I think it shows how much she’s enjoying getting her groove on with this series. I can’t wait for the next book to come out, while I also realise that there is now only three Calendar Boys books left to write.
I’m looking forward to those last three, and can’t wait for her next project. 5 Stars.
I received Mr September as an Advanced Reader Copy from Nicole Goodin. Before I dove in to the world of Brody and Morgan, I went ahead and binge-read all of the previous books. Although they are all stand-alone novels, I wanted to read the rest of them before I read this one.
Mr September is about Brody, an ex-pro basketball player turned coach and Morgan, a single mom to one of his players. These two have sparks from the beginning. When Morgan is threatened with random occurrences, Brody’s protective nature takes over and he wants to keep her shielded from whatever may be threatening her.
Brody and Morgan have so many sparks that it melts your kindle and makes you wish you could trade places. Morgan’s spitfire personality and Brody’s alpha take-charge attitude have you smiling, laughing and wanting them to have ALL the time in the world. They are everything and more.
The twists and turns have you turning the page to find out what happens. I’m the type to try and solve the mystery before it tells me and I am glad to say I was right in what I thought was going on. But this is a definite must read! If you like angst, sparks and alpha heroes, this book is for you!
These men are like fine wine, they get better with time 🤭😉
September marks the start of Spring, gete in South Africa, its always an emotional month for be but thanks to Brody it now just blossoms for me 🤭😂😉
Brody and his sister Olivia are enjoying a beer when Brody notices Morgan and unbeknown to her he's about to become her knight in shining armour ......
Olivia is single mum to Ethan , who loves basketball and who has a no show, douche dad or should I rather refer to him as "the donor " ?!
It's actually at practice that Morgan realizes Brody is more than just her knight that came to her rescue .....
Brody is amazing and he's the real deal! 💕 He's crazy about Morgan and realizes she's a package deal and he more than steps up !
Thanks to Brody and Morgan September is now a bearable month for me and instead of it being filled with tears I now fan myself to cool down before melting into a puddle when I think of them .....thank you for making it a memorable month 😉📚💕
Can't wait to see what October has in store for me......
Nicole Goodin doesn't let us down in the 9th installment of her CALENDAR BOYS series.
Mr. September is a wonderfully written love story of a basketball coach and a single mom who meet by chance. When Morgan goes to drop her son for basketball practice she finds the mysterious man who saved her from being drugged at the bar she is shocked. When Brody turns to see Morgan at the gym before practice he smiles wide and tries to show off a little. Their relationship grows and stumbles along the way but will Brody's protective nature be able to save her from a stalker and an Ex-boyfriend(who always gets in the way when she meets someone while he plays the field)? What happens to bring everything to a head? And will they catch the stalker in time before something bad happens?
Find the answers to these questions and more when you read this romance that has all the makings of a real life relationship.
Nicole is one awesome author! I can say I have enjoyed spending every month with a new guy.
Brody, or AKA Mr September, is a protector, but he never thought that would be how he met the one!
When Nicole tells a story she has you feeling like you are an actual character in the book. You will feel all kinds of emotions, she doesnt just give you love at first sight. She takes you through Hey the ups, downs, hurts and pains. Although love should be easy, it doesnt always happen that way for everyone. Can outside obstacles hurt a relationship or will it help to bond grow closer?
Nicole has a creative mind, and not one story is the same. I can say the only thing that stays the same is the fact you are guaranteed to want to be the woman dropping her panties for any one of the men of the month (did I say that 🤷🏽♀️)
If you want to feel the love of a hot guy through the good and bad emotions, this is a book you will want to read.
