The Shadow Foxes latest bounty mission from the Mage’s Academy is to find mysterious objects of power from the past.
Normally, this would be no problem for Gabriel, the most powerful mage in the world, and his famous guild of lovable misfits, but there are sinister forces racing against them with the same goal.
These objects are dangerous under any circumstances, but if any of the magical objects fall into the wrong hands, the results would be cataclysmic.
And the wrong hands always seem to be one step ahead.
This book nicely fills the dearth of D and D game 's that I no longer get to enjoy. Only in the D and D universe is it ok for the good guys to be murder hobo's . The pacing of this book was good and the action scenes are well written as well. The backstory is starting to be explained more with the history of the manipulators being explained in more detail. Overall it was a good read.
This one was a bit off. The group basically break into the house of a group that has done nothing wrong as far as they know but they go all murder-hobo for no apparent reason. It felt like this wasn't well thought out.

I really did, but Lavinia becoming pregnant makes everything so much more interesting. I liked the almost Indiana Jones-like adventure. The whole looking for clues and whereabouts of the treasure, plus the retrieval of the items themselves was really pulling me in. The end was a bit anti-climactic but the news about Lavinia overshadowed it. I’m glad she will be the first mother of the harem. I even voted for her in the last book.
This story is starting to pick up pace, and have a more profound affect on the world around the Shadow Foxes. The team seems to grow in size every book or so and it seems the pace is picking up with the prospect of an addition to the team. Really enjoyed the read, and will keep reading this story as the surprises continue. Have tried hard to not have spoilers in this review, as it seems to be the book so far that has the most surprising revelations.
This instalment has Gabriel and friends traipsing around to find four sacred objects for the Academy of Mages. They must use their own waits to track them down and of course fight scoundrels, bad guys and other as they complete this latest quest. The best of course is that there are some good news and bad news....
Gabriel and the Shadow Foxes grow in power and esteem, while performing jobs for the Magical Academy. I like the action, humor, and romance\lust. The pregnancy of one of the women makes for an interesting situation. I look forward to the next book.
I loved it! I have no dislikes about this book, I hope Gabriel can defeat the High Mage is a manipulator and his army. Can the Shadow foxes win? Will the Goddess of Luck be making a cameo in the next book? I really hope that Gabriel and the Shadow foxes can find other Manipulator's who are willing to join up and fight.
I personally love this series, the characters, the story, all of it. With each new work the world grows. It's a delightful take on the hero summoned from another world genre!
This series just keeps getting better and better. The world created in this series is just so very detailed and unique. It’s just such a great book, I can’t wait for the next one.
What a fine read. The author has really hit a home run with this series. Also, I'm glad to see that only one of the ladies are pregnant at this time. I will be anxiously awaiting the next installment.
Gabriel and the Silver Foxes discover the ancient artifacts.
A great addition to the series, with a nice twist at the end. I like the way Logan writes and this series continues to get better with each book. I now have to wait for book 6. Excellent reading well worth the time.
I really had lots of parts of the novel that I didn't like specially the role played by the MC. In the end Lavinia's spark is what gets the book 5 stars. The rest of it is only worth 1
Life in a guild has a lot of perks and money for tough bounties. The Shadow Foxes arw that kind of guild. They take the challenges that others fail at and win. Surprise at the end, again. Fun read
Great storyline. Great characters. What more can you ask for? The continuing story is very good and with the new development s it can only get better. Can't wait!
